Exactly what we were looking for!
Exactly what we were looking for!
I was stumped on where to take my BFF on her bachelorette party. She wanted a cabin in the mountains feel but I knew that meant a luxurious cabin so I was starting to become full of discontent with everything I was finding UNTIL I saw Holly's place online. It was perfect! We had 7 girls total but Elk Lodge could sleep 13 people comfortably. It had everything we needed to cook a nice dinner and the beds were so comfortable. Views from the lodge were so pretty and peaceful. Holly was great with all my questions! I will definitely try to come back.

We loved the Elk Lodge. It was a beautiful, spacious, relaxing get away for my husband and I. The view is great and the rustic decor in the cabin was perfect. We loved having coffee looking at the lake on the huge deck and having a cozy fire in the lodge at night. Eureka Springs is close by with great food and shopping too. We would definitely go back to Elk Lodge.

Perfect getaway cabin!
Perfect getaway cabin!
My 5 sisters and I just spent a week enjoying this little slice of Heaven on Beaver Lake. Holly's description of the amenities on the website is spot on and very accurate. The attention Holly and Jay spend on making sure you have absolutely EVERYTHING you might possibly ever need to relax and enjoy your stay is amazing to say the least! In the kitchen, there was everything from a spaghetti cooking spoon to real glass wine glasses AND martini glasses to a blender to a waffle maker with ample glasses and dishware so we weren't constantly running the dishwasher. The towels and linens were just like home..full size and very comfortable. We played musical beds so I experienced one of the queen beds in the loft and one of the King beds downstairs. Both were incredibly comfortable and supportive. The decor of the cabin is so rustic and unique. From the charming wood benches in the downstairs bedrooms to the amazing taxidermy throughout the cabin this place really brings the outdoors inside. Watching the fall colors come on literally before our eyes was very easy to do from the large deck and the Adironack chairs made stargazing at night very comfortable. We enjoyed fires in the fireplace several nights we were there and appreciated very much the very ample wood supply provided. Holly and Jay checked in a couple of times during the week to see if we needed anything or to have our trash removed and I found that very thoughtful and unusual. The Ertels go the extra mile in providing for their guests and it shows. Look no further if you want to experience life on the lake because this cabin is ON the water and nestled in a real neighborhood. It truly is a little slice of Heaven!

Recent family stay
Recent family stay
We just returned from a long weekend at Elk Lodge & would highly recommend it! Our hosts were pleasant & very accommodating, the property is beautiful, the lodge is well maintained and very family friendly. Having our own dock and the use of 2 canoes enhanced our stay & we spent many hours out on the expansive deck taking in the view of the lake and surrounding area.

A Wonderful Lake Vacation
A Wonderful Lake Vacation
This is a perfect location and accommodation for a relaxing family vacation. We have stayed in this particular rental home in 2011 and in 2013 and it has exceeded our expectations each time. It is perfect for a larger family and can comfortably sleep 12 people. We had 6 adults and 7 children ranging in age from 18 to 1 year old. We hiked, fished, and went canoeing just around the house. We rented a pontoon boat and spent the entire day on the lake one day. We were close enough to drop off anyone who wanted to go back up to the house. We cooked outdoors on the grill and just enjoyed the views of the lake and hills from the deck. The house is clean and has all that is needed for cooking, cleaning, and laundry needs. Holly Ertyl is so very helpful. What a wonderful, Christian owner. She provided help, information, and answered questions for us, even when I called her on her own vacation; she still took the time to help us. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a "home away from home" for a vacation retreat. It is very clean, neat, charming, comfortable, and priced very fairly. We enjoyed the surroundings and marveled at the beauty of Beaver Lake. This was a true joy for our family and we made wonderful memories. We look forward to going back and would definitely stay in this home again. You will not be disappointed!!!!!

This cabin had a last min. cancellation and I was able to grab it for a quick little vacation with the girls. I do not regret it!!!! It was just perfect!!! This place does not miss a beat! The owners pay close attention to detail and assure that everything with be just right for you and your guests. The house is in a beautiful cove perfect for swimming; we even took the canoes out for a quick paddle. The sunset from the deck is amazing! I love this place and will book again, next time with the whole family! Thank you for a wonderful stay on Beaver Lake!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Elk Lodge - it has every comfort and convenience, and yet has a rustic charm. We spent many hours enjoying the large deck with its incredible views, as well as watching movies and playing games indoors. Its location was another bonus - only minutes to the marina for boat rentals and only about 20 minutes to Eureka Springs. We will definitely return!

Elk Lodge was easy to find by the directions given but we found it easier to tell family from out of town to keep in hwy 62 and turn on hwy 187 and go over the dam to Mundell I think that was the road name. The pictures of Elk Lodge are just what you get and more. What a beautiful location and cabin! Everyone just walked around and commented on how beautiful the cabin was. My family told me I had a good "picker" because I picked a winner for all 10 of us! LOL We fished, bbqed, swam, took the canoe out on the lake and did not want to leave. Eureka Springs is a short drive away with lots of things to do and places to eat. The Road House is good and Autumn Place is out of this world good! And Holly was so easy to work with too! She even called to thank us for staying before we left. We all thought that was so sweet! We are already talking about next year and the Elk Lodge. I hope you and your family enjoy it as much as we did!

Owner response: We sure did enjoy having your family at our lodge. Yes, following the directions we provide cuts about 15 mins off the drive time, glad you noticed the difference! We are pleased your family enjoyed the canoes and the ease of driving to local restaurants. We anticipate your return! thanks for staying with us.
Our visit was wonderful. The cabin was beautiful and very well furnished. My gandchildren and children has a ball swimming off the private dock. The canoes were so much fun. We would like to make another trip to the cabin with our adult group of friends. Excellent vacation spot.

About the owner: Beaver Lake has the most gorgeous views, incredible water quality, amazing wildlife...Year-Round! Our family loves to water ski, go tubing, fish for striper and trout, go canoeing on the White or Kings River, watch the sunset, sit by the fireplace and just spend some great family time on Beaver Lake creating some fantasitc memories. Come stay with us and enjoy the life we so love! This is truly God's country. We have been living on Beaver Lake since 2000 and I bet we will never move! This lake is one beautiful, hidden gem.
Why the Owner Chose Eureka Springs:
We love the Ozarks, the wildlife/nature is abundant and the seasons are amazing. We built this cabin from the ground up.....raising the logs, custom painting the walls and decorating with unique cabin decor. The cove where Elk Lodge is located is directly across from one of the best skiing and wakeboarding coves on Beaver Lake. We are centrally located b/t Starkey Marina and Beaver Lake Dam and also the roads are completely paved all the way to the front door...that's a BONUS around here! Plus the back deck is 35 feet from the water's edge, so close you could throw a rock. Fish from the dock! fun! fun!
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the huge back decks. Very private property, great places to walk and hike. Often see deer in backyard in morning and evening hours. Paddle in the cove and watch the fish jump. Beaver Lake is AMAZING for any outdoors person! Sit by the large stone fireplace and relax or read a book on the back decks sitting in a rocker and see the Eagles soar overhead.
