Nestled in the trees near the edge of a quiet lake, the cottage affords privacy, coolness, and beautiful views. It is located 30 minutes from Ellsworth, the gateway to Acadia National Park, and is within easy driving distance of 'the real Down east' and even Canadian attractions. One hour from Bangor.

There is a dock, a large paddle boat, an aluminum rowboat, and 2 kayaks. Molasses Pond is a clear, spring-fed lake and is 2 miles long. Excellent swimming, and there is a sandy beach at the head of the lake. A ping-pong table, air hockey game, 2 bicycles and fishing gear are in a separate building. Access from the driveway is by means of a long ramp and 7 stairs. Pets negotiable

                      Year Purchased: 1979

                      About the owner: I was a pastor in Maine during the past, but Winnie & I now live in New Holland, PA. We usually use the cottage ourselves the first part of the summer. This year (2013) we will have family there until the end of July or the first week of August. After that it is available until mid-October.
