You are going to love our cozy beach home. Built and purchased brand new in Nov. 2006, three bedroom, 2.25 baths. We are located in Ocean Lakes Family Campground (N-44) approximately 3 miles south of the Myrtle Beach city limits at the intersection of Hwy. 17 business and Hwy. 544 (also known as Dick Pond Road).
Inside are an open den, kitchen and dining area with a vaulted ceiling and ceiling fan. The den has cable TV, DVD/VCR combo with sofa and love seat. A full bath is convenient to the den area.
The kitchen is equipped with all new appliances which include a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer with an ice maker, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, hand mixer and a mini food processor. Also, included are dishes, silverware, glasses, pots and utensils.
The master bedroom has a firm queen bed, a ceiling fan, a closet, night stand, a chest, cable tv and adjoining bath. Linens (sheets, towels, etc.) are furnished. The quest bedroom has a queen bed, a ceiling fan, a closet, night stand and cable TV. The third bedroom has a twin bed, a ceiling fan, and a closet.
There is a large hall closet which contains a stack-able washer and dryer.
SORRY - we do not allow pets or smoking inside our home.
The large deck contains patio furniture. There is a concrete parking area with an outside shower and for your convenience.
All guest must register with Ocean Lakes upon arrival and obtain a Parking Pass. This pass is $5 per day, per vehicle. This fee is paid directly to Ocean Lakes.

The owner take's photo's not only at night but also in the day with his so called security camera. The bedrooms have no dressers and only one small dresser in the kids room. The cable must be basic only just a few channels with no internet service, the matteress did not sleep well we had to go purchase a pillow top. The parking was asked about before we rented with no reply from owner by email, red flag there I did not see that coming until I almost broke my mirrow on my truck trying to park. Did not return depoist due to a plastic piece on his camera beginning broken, some things just make you want to say HUMMMMM. Would not recommend to anyone to stay here.
Owner response:Yes we do have a camera located in plain view. This is a deer camera that is directed toward the storage building. The caliber of people that is coming into Ocean Lakes is meaner and more dishonest now. Not a week after you left, there was a murder in Ocean Lakes. This camera is for everyone’s protection. I have a clear picture of you when you broke the lock. Why would you do that? And the nerve of you to leave a bad review shows what caliber of people you are. As already stated, the cable and wifi is provided via Ocean Lakes and you should take that up with them. As for the parking….I did not see an email from you asking about the parking but it has ALWAYS stated on the VRBO description no oversized vehicles. It is your responsibility to read it. I can not please everyone when it comes to mattresses. Some like them firm, some like them soft. My main concern is they are new, clean and they also have a very expensive mattress cover to protect them from germs. It plainly stated in my rental agreement that your deposit will be kept in full if you leave the house dirty or damaged. During the week you were there the A/C went out twice. I spoke with both of you and there were no complaints. Within 30 minutes from the time you called I had someone there to fix the unit. You also arrived at 11am when check-in is at 3pm. You parked at the house and sat and waited for me to clean. You also asked if you could use the golf cart while I cleaned. I told you not until it was washed and ready. As soon as I could finish I let you check in early. What more can you ask for?

Hope you have a small vehicle or are very good at parking becuase you can't unless you pull into the neighbors yard first. The pictures are quite decieving. The living room has a 19" TV in it the size of the one in my baby's room with a built in DVD player. NO INTERNET/ NO DISHWASHER/ NO CABLE/ and even though the add says "Full Size Washer and Dryer" That's a LIE! It has a stackable washer and dryer in a linen closet that hardly washes 4 towels and you have to dry them at least twice to get dry. There is ONE DRESSER in the entire house and no clothes hangers at all. We had to literally live out of our suitcases. I can do that in a hotel!!!! Don't get me started on the surveilance camera outside that takes pictures if it's dark outside, not to mention the garage door that barely opens and closes. The golf cart appears to be very nice until you find out that it goes way faster than allowed and has NO BRAKES!!!!!. There are cooking utensils but take your own pans. Only has two non-stick pans and metal spatulas so they are all scratched up and un-usable. Now let's talk about visitors. Read the contract closely, they will charge extra if anyone spends the night and is more than 5 people there. It is stated in the Agreement but it's a bunch of BS. Also states that they will return deposit within 15 days. It took them 20 days to get it to me only after a phone call to ask where it was. This house is located on one of the side streets which makes it rather difficult to find, and park. THIS PROPERTY IS NO WORTH THE MONEY THEY CHARGE. YOU CAN FIND MUCH NICER HOMES IN BETTER LOCATIONS WITH MANY MORE AMENITIES FOR THE SAME AMOUNT OF MONEY!!!! The owner's seemed very nice and helpful when we locked ourselves out of the house, however, they became quite snotty when we questioned the issues with the deposit.
Owner response:It’s obvious this person is upset because I withheld $30.00 from their $200 security deposit because as soon as they arrived, they called me and told me how beautiful the house was. Our rental agreement does state that over 5 occupants, there will be a $10 per night per person charge. The house sleeps 5 people. They tried to sneak people in without my knowledge via Ocean Lakes. It is OL policy that no one is allowed to our site without permission from the owner. The wifi and cable is what OL provides their residence. I have no control over that. Unfortunately there is not a dishwasher there. If you will look over the listing on VRBO, it is not listed. It also states “washer” and “dryer”. It is a stack on washer and dryer therefore you can not wash oversized loads. Most people wait until 10:00 am to decide to wash every towel and sheet in the house at one time. We felt most renters would enjoy more bed space than furniture is the reason there is not a lot of dressers. I assume the hangers were taken by previous renters. When we last inspected the pots, pans and utensils, there were utensils for the non-stick pans and metal utensils for grilling. I have found some of our utensils and cups were used as beach toys. Maybe they did not look in the storage drawer under the stove. A new golf cart lasts about 2 years there and then it is worn out. We do not govern how fast the cart goes. That is the driver’s responsibility. My car goes over 100mph but that does not mean I need to drive it that fast. The faster you drive the more braking distance you need to allow. I assume that is why the law requires anyone driving a golf cart to be 16 years old and a valid driver’s licenses. We do have a visible deer camera under the house pointed toward the storage room and golf cart. This is for everyone’s protection. We have had damage to the house and cart and no one seems to know what happened, prime example: the damaged roll up storage door. It has been hit by multiple renters but everyone denies it. They thought it was a very good idea and felt safer staying there. His exact words were, “So if your golf cart gets stolen and you look at your surveillance pictures and you see a short black guy, you’ll know it’s not me.” Yes, I agree parking is tight, that is why it is listed on the VRBO site, no oversized vehicles. Parking is an issue everywhere at Ocean Lakes. I've chosen not to throw stones but basically to sum it up, some people want something for nothing.
