Our rental is VERY clean, warm and inviting. It sets on a double lot on a quiet dead end road. It is perfect for a family vacation, a couples retreat, or a place to gather for friends. There is much to do close by, but it is also in an excellent location in the heart of Michigan enabling you to visit many areas of the state one day trip at a time.
Lake George, where we are located, offers a free boat launch and is a 134 acre all sports lake perfectly shaped for skiing and tubing. We have property owners swimming area with sandy bottom and gradual drop-off. Fishing includes Bluegills, Perch, Rockbass, Crappie, Largemouth Bass and Smallmouth Bass and Pike. Shingle Lake is our neighboring lake and it has a large public swimming area, boat launch, pavilion, and park.
Within ten or fifteen minutes of the rental there is: At least five other lakes offering public access for boating or swimming. Thousands of acres of state land for hunting, hiking and mushrooming. Muskegon River is good for tubing, fishing, canoeing and kayaking. Snow Snake Ski and Golf which offers skiing, snowboarding, tubing, and golfing. Pere-Marquette Rails to Trails for biking and walking. AND SO MUCH MORE!
We are also located in Clare County which is known for its large Amish community. Feel free to explore their shops offering bake goods, crafts, furniture, quilts, and more open every day but Sunday. You can also attend the Amish Auction and Craft Shows held twice a year. Clare is also known for their Annual Irish Festival, World Famous Cops and Doughnuts, and Jay’s Sport Goods.
If you are interested in taking a little longer day trip, we two hours from the Mackinaw Bridge, 30 minutes from Soaring Eagle Casino, and about 40 minutes from Houghton Lake.
Owners of the rental are close by and willing to be of any assistance if needed.

- We are a 2 minute walk to public access. Boat launch 2 minute drive away. We are 5 minutes away from Shingle Lake which has a public sandy beach, pavillion, play area and boat launch. Fifteen minutes to golf, skiing, tubing, and zip line.
Rate Details (In US Dollars)
Summer Rental Rates: $250 Weekend Friday to Sunday $450 Week Sunday to Sunday
Winter Rental Rates: $200 Weekend Friday to Sunday $375 Week Sunday to Sunday
Note: Holidays add $75 onto rate Extra Days are $75 each day upon availability.
$100.00 security deposit required on all rentals refundable after inspection.
$50 non-refundable cleaning fee.
$30 non-refundable fee per pet.
Weekly check in Sunday 3:00 pm to Sunday check out 12:00 pm (some exceptions).
Weekend check in Friday 3:00 pm to Sunday check out 12:00 pm (some exceptions).

Very Nice house and well maintained and clean. We had a wonderful time and there was plenty of room for our family of five. The owner Lynn was very pleasant to deal with. I would reccomend this spot.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, families with young children.
