It is with sorrow we announce the sale of our beloved Emerald Bay House. While we are very happy for the new owners, we are sad about the end of a tradition. Our understanding is that it will be their second home and not placed on the rental market.
The Emerald Bay House has been the site of numerous weddings, family reunions, girls' trips, bachelor parties, graduation celebrations, vacations, golf trips and so many more wonderful occasions.
We would like to thank our property manager - Newman Dailey Resort Properties for their years of fantastic service and in particular, we thank our housekeeper - Pok - for her dedication and love of our house.
Our three families have made great memories here and we will treasure them always. We would love for you to share just a few words about your experiences in our guest book.
While we will no longer have this property, we do still own The Emerald Beach House and it will continue to be available for your Destin trips. We are currently making a list of upgrades and improvements we will make over the winter months.

We had been vacationing in Destin for many years - spring breaks with our children and summer trips - and wondered what type of investment it would be to purchase a condo or home. After discussing the idea with trusted real estate and property management friends, we took the plunge. The Emerald Bay House was built in 1996 and has been a wonderful experience.

Specifically built for vacation guests, we tried to include everything you need to make your stay almost like home - but better! This was our first family vacation with our entire extended family - both of our children, their spouses and both grandchildren, as well as my 82 year old mother. The house was perfect for us. The private pool is larger than those at many homes and was well utilized. The walk to the beach is very short, and there were 2 umbrellas and 4 beach chairs already set up for us every morning by the beach attendant. With all 4 bathrooms having their own bath and the well appointed kitchen, we were very pleased with this beautiful house and hope to come back next year.

When all the bad pubilicity started about the oil hitting the beaches, we were just sick. I got to know the owners of the fantastic Emerald Bay house while making the arrangements for our wedding at the beach. Talk about customer service, they became more like old friends, so we were not only concerned about the beautiful beach but the new friends who provided the best house on the beach. The house was more than ample for our four families, all of whom agreed that this was the best place they'd ever stayed. We'd planned on using the beach for our cermony but instead heild it in the backyard, by the pool, looking out onto the beach. We are moving into a new home in Nashville and plan to decorate our guest room in a beach theme as a reminder of the fun and relaxing times we had at the beautifully decorated Emerald Bay House. It just doesnt get any better ! Thats why we plan to get back as soon and as often as possible and highly reccommend this home for other families.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children.

Hi Terri ~ Just wanted to let you know that we love, love, love the Emerald Bay House. It was the perfect house for our family and we even had plenty of room for more! It is decorated beautifully and is such a comfortable home. We appreciate you sharing it with us so much and we hope to book a week this summer once we can find a week we can all go together. But the much repeated phrase during the time we were there was "This is the perfect house for our family!" We had a wonderful time even though the weather was a little cooler than we would have liked. We knew it was going to be when we booked, so it was just nice to get away and spend some "family time". Christmas and New Years Holidays 2007 Four families celebrated the holidays with our Dad, staying just down the road at Summer Breeze. Emerald Bay House provided the PERFECT setting and accommodations for our very special family holidays. Perfect location, fantastic views, lovely living space!
