This condo is lovely- apart from the street noise! The situation is perfect, as a previous reviewer stated, it's away from the madness of Waikiki Beach. It's within walking distance of downtown & historic sites such as Iolani Palace, the Mission Houses, Aloha Tower & Chinatown. The parking space is a big plus & we didn't find the drive or security to be a problem. Buses, which everyone rides in Honolulu, run very close to the buildin and serve the airport, Pearl harbor & Waikiki Beach.. The condo is well appointed, with laundry facilities, dishwasher etc. The kitchen & bathrooms are a little dated & could be upgraded to match the luxury of the bedrooms & living area. The WiFi didn't work on arrival but I called owner's the IT guy & the problem was fixed immediately. No problems with the a/c. The unit is clean but the carpet, cream, has a few spots on it but nothing much, mainly wear & tear. Now to the noise! The street noise is really loud. There was road construction below us some nights during our stay & that contributed to the overall noise. We found the traffic noise really intrusive, even from the 12th floor. We wore ear plugs most nights, you wouldn't be able to sleep without them, even without construction noise. Its windy in Hawaii & the windows were quite "rattly" which bothered my companion more than me. But it's more noise. The owner was very helpful, though she had our date of arrival incorrect, even though I emailed before we arrived. This didn't cause any significant problem, the unit was ready but I had to wait for her to arrive with the keys. However on the plus side, I had a late flight & she allowed me to leave my luggage in the condo until I was collected for my flight. This was really good. Overall I would recommend this condo, for amenities, location & customer service. However the noise is a big problem, if you don't like earplugs!Did you find this review helpful? My family stayed at this property for over two months. The views of the harbor from our balcony was stunning. We enjoyed watching the cruise ships go in and out of the harbor. The location was great. Right in the downtown area near the palace, with lots of activities. The home was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. The owner is fantastic. She is a great host, very flexible, and does everything possible to make your stay pleasant and memorable. She quickly responded to any questions or concerns, and even went out of her way to help with special requests.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We stayed at the VIP suites in late June/early July 2011. The condo was very comfortable for myself, my wife and our 22 year old daughter. When we first arrived the air conditioning was not working but Judy was quick to get the fan motor replaced and the condo cooled. The condo is very close to the Aloha Tower but several miles from the Waikiki area. The assigned parking was nice to have but the parking garage owner was trying to make it more secure for the condos but instead made access much less user friendly and tougher to get in and out of the garage. I did file a complaint to the garage manager. Overall I would recommend the condo for a comfortable and relaxing vacation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I would give it 5 stars, except I would reserve that for "super luxury on the beach." The owner was easy to deal with and she was very nice. Two bedroom, 2 bath, kitchen and living room condo in downtown area. Pros: All amenities we needed: kitchen, washer, dryer and1 parking space. The condo ended up costing us about half of what we would pay in a hotel. Walking distance to downtown, chinatown and Aloha tower. Away from the annoying hustle and bustle of Waikiki. Small balcony with great view of the port. Clean, comfortable. Relatively inexpensive. Cons: not walking distance to a beach if that's what you want. Parking spot was near the top of the garage, so it took a few minutes of driving up several flights of ramps. These complaints were not significant for us, but might be for others. Overall: I recommend it for value and cleanliness.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
