The floating dock is typically in the water from mid-May through mid-October depending on the weather. Fishermen/women can try their luck right off of the rocks. Those lucky ones hook striper or bluefish. Available are SIX kayaks (LL Bean Manatee recreational variety) and ONE Olde Town canoe (LL Bean) than can be rowed or paddled. Just like the song, the dilemma is 'Should I stay or should I go?' Staying on the property means enjoying a comfortable home with all of its abundant amenities including a floating dock system just a mere few feet away from the house (New construction has to be 75 feet back, however, this home is just a stone's throw from the water).
Of course, those that like to get up and go can get to L.L. Bean and the Freeport outlets within 25 minutes. Bowdoin College and downtown Brunswick are 10 minutes away. Cook's Lobster House is just minutes away on the next island. Edgecomb Pottery is always an artful destination. Lots of day trip opportunities to Camden, Rockland, Wiscassett, Damiscotta, Popham Beach and Reid State Park. Music and theatre performances are at Bowdoin. A 10-cinema movie complex right at Cook's Corner about 10 minutes away. Starbucks is 10 minutes for those of you who love your lattes!
