MY WONDERFUL OCEANFRONT PENTHOUSE, which I have named Penthouse Of The Dolphins, is directly on the water overlooking the Malecon. It is situated in the middle of Puerto Vallarta two blocks from the main plaza, Plaza Principal, and because of that is walking distance to virtually every shop, restaurant and attraction that Puerto Vallarta has to offer. Its perfect for parties of up to five people, and of course is completely air-conditioned.
THE VIEW IS FABULOUS, looking south all the way down the coast to Cabo Corrientes and north all the way to Punta Mita, the northernmost point of Banderas Bay. The dolphins delight in swimming directly in front of my wraparound terrazas every day (hence the name "Penthouse Of The Dolphins"), and early in the morning the local oyster divers collect their day’s catch on the rich reef in the crystal blue waters directly in front of my home. With its abundant underwater sea life, snorkeling and swimming are unsurpassed in this area.
BOTH BEDROOMS HAVE OCEANFRONT VIEWS, and the sunsets are truly amazing. If you are like me, you will spend both mornings on my main terrace, drinking your coffee and eating your breakfast watching the divers work and seeing the various seabirds hunt for their morning meal, and your evenings eating dinner at the dining table, which is situated outside under the covered balcony. You will delight taking in the 180-degree view of the ocean and coastline from one end of the bay to the other. Every night there is a fireworks display that is mounted from the Spanish galleon named the Marigalante, and usually the ship passes about 500 feet away from my terrazas when it starts its show.
There Are 2 King-size Bedrooms each with its own connected bathroom, and there is also a third guest bathroom complete with its own shower. All of the bathrooms are all hand-crafted in marble. Both bedrooms have Flat screen cable TV/DVD.
The Washer and Dryer are both located inside the condo.

For those of you that like to bring your laptops we also have Wireless High Speed Internet DSL. All you have to do is plug in and you are surfing the web!

Hand Hewn Granite countertops accent the custom designed kitchen, which is complete and has all the amenities to make preparation of meals a delight. Dishwasher, microwave, blender, coffee maker are all there, and various spices are always on hand.
The Swimming Pool is located on the roof of the building next to my condo, so just walk out the front door, take 30 steps and you will be standing next to the pool, and the water is always warm and the view is unforgettable.
Parking is Secured under the building, as my condo has the only underground parking in the city center, and the building has 24-hour security personnel to serve you.
WE ALSO HAVE ONE of the best restaurants in all of Puerto Vallarta located on the ground floor of our building facing the beach on the new Malecon. Its name is VITEA, and you will be delighted when you have your lunch or dinner there. It is truly a 4 star restaurant and believe me, their Margaritas are the BEST in town!
THINGS TO DO!! Virtually every water sport is available for you here in Puerto Vallarta. Also, there are horseback rides that take you back into the jungle where you will see waterfalls and flocks of parrots flying overhead. Golf is a major attraction here with several world class courses. There are canopy tours in the jungle, you can visit the set of 'Terminator', and you can also swim with the dolphins, race mini cars and go to the local Seaworld, where the kids will have a great time. There are concerts every night by local artists in the main plaza, flea markets galore and special events where the local people from areas outside of Puerto Vallarta bring their local food and wares for you to taste and buy. There are numerous fabulous nightclubs and discos that are open until 4 in the morning, so you can dance the night away every night and never go to the same place twice.

Why the Owner Chose Downtown (Viejo Vallarta)
When I arrived at my future home, walked through the entrada of the building and looked out and saw the azure blue waters of the Pacific and the incredible view of Banderas Bay right in front of me, I fell in love immediately. Being in the center of this wonderful town, I knew that this was the best location in all of Puerto Vallarta. I couldn't resist it.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
I Found Out that I could just as secluded as I wanted as our building is very quiet, or I could enjoy a bounty of cultural and ethnic delights just by stepping outside. It was just up to me to decide what I would do on any given day, be a sun worshiper on the beach or at the pool, or join in the party that is always going on somewhere in this wonderful old colonial town. The views from my terrazas are unsurpassed, I can see the tourists strolling on the Malecon and I can also look out to the Pacific and see whales, dolphins, and even the oyster divers who like to work directly in front of home here.

Hi, I'm Michel Rubini. the very happy owner of Penthouse Of The Dolphins. I am a musician by trade, and I have been playing piano since I was 3 years old. I came to Puerto Vallarta in 2000 and fell in love with it immediately. I have been blessed with the good fortune to be able to live here with the wonderful Mexican people and share in their relaxed style of living, where everything slows down just a notch or two from the “hurry up” pace of America. To be able to sit on my terrace and view the ocean and listen to the sound of the birds and waves is a wonderfully relaxing experience that I look forward to every morning that I am here. We enjoyed the gentle sound of the ocean waves...we had our coffee every day on the terrace overlooking the fabulous view. We felt like we were in our own home..the owner has taken great detail to have all the ammenities you could ever want. We loved Vieta the restaurant in the building, and walking to the French Pastry behind Vista Del Sol Condominum, for our favorite almond croissants and quiche. We came across this condo on Trip Advisor and thought it looked pretty nice. But the pictures we saw and information we read didn't even come close to doing it justice. The property is located on the Malecon in downtown Vallarta, just a hop, skip and a jump away from Old Town and the Romantic Zone. Walk out your door and everything you could want is right there: restaurants, beach, shops, bars, transportation, etc. The place itself is absolutely gorgeous! We don't normally notice how a place is decorated, but my wife and I thought this was impeccably done. And it's very spacious and open, with a huge wrap-around balcony, that along with the master bed and bath, we basically never left for four days. The master sits in the corner of the penthouse on the ocean and sliding doors open up on both walls and lead out onto the deck, which has an area for sunbathing, coffee, a full-on meal, and another little area right on the corner. You can lie in bed and listen to the waves and look out onto the ocean, then jump in the shower which also has two glass windows that open that look out onto the ocean. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots/pans, etc., and everything you need to make a meal. We went out to a local supermarket and bought groceries and made dinner and breakfast pretty much every day. When we decided to leave the penthouse, we just walked down to the infinity pool which sits on the roof about 30 feet away. It was nice and quiet, great for laying out and reading and taking a dip. Across the way from the penthouse is a parking garage, which was completely empty this time of year, meaning we had complete privacy even when out on the deck. From that vantage, you can people watch along the Malecon if you want or just watch the ships lazily plug along. And the sunsets ... Think about 50% of the pics we took were of the sunsets off the balcony. Overall, we were completely taken aback at how nice this place was. A truly memorable honeymoon!!

My wife and I stayed her the end of March for 6 days with our son and his wife for a break from the Colorado winter. The accomocations couldn't have been nicer for the four of us, just as described on the website. The nightly sunsets and pirate ship fireworks were something we could all get used to on a regular basis. The pool was so convenient and all of the various staff we interacted with went out of their way to be helpful. The Vitae restaurant was one of the best dinners we had and so convenient. My wife was also thrilled that there were fresh made doughnuts less than a block away each morning. Michael made the rental process very simple and was kind enough to have a fresh bag of coffee waiting for us upon arrival. We would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting deluxe accomodations at a location that is central to everything. I know we will rent it again in the future.

We just returned home from a wonderful week staying at the Penthouse of the Dolphins. We loved the location, the set-up of the master bedroom (with bed looking right out over the ocean), and most of all the deck! It provides a spectacular view, especially at sunset. And the great thing is, you can either pull up your chair toward the edge and people watch/catch all the action on the Malecon; or move back a bit, and the Malecon "disappears"—it really feels like you are right out over the water. We didn't see any dolphins, but were thrilled two nights to see a pair of whales frolicking right out in front of our place. If you like to fall asleep to the sound of the pounding waves (as we do), you can just leave the windows open. We hardly used the A/C at all. Our only complaints: the bed in the second bedroom was smaller than "queen size" as we know it. Also, the pool was smaller than it appeared in the photo. It is all one depth and not geared for swimmers, but is fine if all you want to do is cool off. Michel (and Rosa) were both a joy to work with. We've rented from a lot of owners in a lot of places, and have found no one to be more helpful and responsive.

Its always our intention that our guests have the best time possible, and we take every criticism to heart. I want to address her comment about the queen bed in the 2nd bedroom; Because Mexico uses the Metric System and America uses the United States customary system (also called American system and sometimes "English units") the sizes of the beds do differ slightly. However, we buy all of our linens in the USA because we want only the best quality sheets for our guests, and the queen sheets fit the Mexican queen bed almost perfectly, so there is really very little difference between the 2 sizes. I am sorry that the difference was noticeable to Linda. We are going to buy a new King size bed for that bedroom on our next trip down, so very soon we will have 2 king beds for all our guests to enjoy. Penthouse of the Dolphins in a wonderful condo. The location is perfect. It has an amazing view of the Malecon and ocean, and is close to many great restaurants (including Vitea which is in the same building). It suited our needs well (travelling with a 3 and 1 year old). Michel was a complete professional and he stayed in contact before the trip and was very accomodating (even purchasing a pack 'n play for my infant to sleep in). Rosa, the property manager, was amazingly sweet and so helpful. My only regret was the pool (during a somewhat temperate February), was too cold for my 3 year old to swim in. It wasn't a big deal because we used a nearby beach and pool at a hotel which was a short walk away (for a small fee).

Since this was our first time to PV the location of the Penthouse could not have been better. We could very easily go north, south or explore all of downtown. The views were truly spectacular at all times and very entertaining by just looking down at the Malecon and people watching. The unit was very comfortable, very spacious and interestingly enough, very quiet. Nothing like waking up to the view of the ocean. We are very lucky we were able to rent the Penthouse from Michel and Cecilia (they are great!!!)

This place was absolutely stunning. We had a 3 old with us and it was incredible to stay right in the middle of all activities, restaurants, shops etc. We rented a car which was parked securely at the basement. Overall a fantastic stay. I fully recommend with enthusiasm.

Michel's Penthouse of the Dolphins is everything it is advertised to be, clean, well-decorated and appointed. The pool is just steps from the front door! We were so happy that we chose to stay here rather than a resort where we would have been relatively isolated from the many authentic experiences we had staying on the Malecon. The property manager, Rosa, was a gem who efficiently handled all our questions and needs, even arranging tickets and reservations for our day tours! The views are lovely, the locals very helpful and friendly. Don't miss eating at the little cantina directly across the street, Los Ponchos and sure to order a flaming Mexican coffee; it is an experience to rival any 5-star restaurant!

We stayed at Penthouse of the Dolphins in Feb. 2010. The Penthouse was beautifully decorated and the view was the best on the Malecon. There were numerous places to eat and everything we did was within walking distance. Be sure to get off The Malecon though and experience the many little restaurants and shops that are nearby. We did the Whale Watching tour and we saw many whales up close. We also did the zip line tour and that was beautiful, also. We always felt safe when walking at any time of day or night and were never at a loss for anything to do. Perfect setting, perfect area, and great place to stay! By the way, the next door neighbors Charlie and Lorraine are full of useful info and are very nice people. Thanks Michel, for letting us enjoy your home!
