At Snowy Cove Cottage the voice of the Blue Ridge Mountains can magically turn back time for the tired, the thinker, the wanderer, and the artist in everyone. For in this part of the world all things are possible and treasures of all kinds are within short tranquil drives to the beloved small town of Black Mountain and the Village of Chimney Rock. Only about 20 minutes more you are in the Land of the Sky known as Asheville, North Carolina with the Great Smoky Mountains National Park as its nesting grounds offering guests the opportunity to tour the historic homes of author Thomas Wolfe and the famed Biltmore Estate and Winery. The Grove Park Inn offers a fabulous Spa experience and wonderful restaurants. One can also enter into the mystical and ancient world of the Cherokee Indians in about 2 hours from Black Mountain. As you drive our scenic highways and byways you’ll make a fine memory and we at Snowy Cove Cottage say you are welcome to take it home with you.

Snowy Cove Cottage on the Eastern Continental Divide at 3000’ elevation boasts Hickory Cabinets, Red Oak Floors, and beautiful Slate Tile. The cottage is completely furnished with an uncluttered feel, including linens along with a fully equipped kitchen. It is also climate controlled for your comfort. Amenities include a remote controlled Gas Log Fireplace, Hot Tub, Satellite TV, and telephone. Ten minutes from your doorstep is the town center of Black Mountain with its many shops, galleries, antique stores, restaurants, and the “Train Depot Gallery and Museum”. Hiking is available in the area, and there are many festivals throughout the year. After a day of shopping, recreation, or sightseeing you can enjoy the beautiful fireplace, quiet time on the porch, or “Spa time” in the Hot Tub. So bring yourself, your clothes and toothbrush and enjoy what the “Cottage” and surrounding mountains have to offer!

  • We had a wonderful time staying in this adorable cabin. The furnishings, kitchen, and amenities were perfect. The location outside of town is great for a getaway, but still convenient to town. The fireplace was warm and cozy. We loved Snowy Cove!

  • We enjoyed staying at Snowy Cove Cabin so much that we are already planning another trip to Black Mountain. I have spread the word to friends and family when they visit the Black Mountain area. Why stay anywhere else! It was convenient, cozy and it made us feel at home.

  • This cabin is so nice. It is furnished so well it still looks brand new. We had a great vacation here. We explored the town of Black Mountain and had great dinners and relaxed in the hot tub. I would recommend this place to anyone. We hope to come back soon.

  • What a cute cottage! The rooms are all very clean and the cabin overall has a cozy, mountain feel. My mother, sister-in-law, nephew, and I had so much fun spending time with one another and visiting the nearby attractions. The hot tub was a big hit on those chilly spring mornings. I would recommend Snowy Cove Cottage to anyone who wanted a nice mountain cottage close enough to surrounding towns, such as Asheville, but far enough to have a secluded, quiet stay. Thanks for the fun memories.

  • Wonderful cabin! Very quiet and peaceful. Well decorated and maintained. Although the cabin has a phone, don't plan for cell service or Internet. This place truly provides a break from the world. We look forward to returning.

  • We absolutely loved our girls' weekend get-away at Snowy Cove Cottage! The cottage was very clean and uncluttered! We really enjoyed the gas fireplace, hot tub, and down comforters! We plan to make our visit to Snowy Cove an annual event!!!

  • We spent a beautiful fall weekend at this cabin making up for lost time with friends from California. The simple beauty of the interior was a great backdrop for the autumn glory outside. Together they created a warm, inviting environment for our reunion. Everything we needed was there. We especially loved the hot tub by candlelight. We also had fun exploring the surrounding areas which are very accessible. We have plans to return next fall.

  • The cabin is small and charming. The hot tub is a great amenity. It is very comfortable and not overly fussy or austentatious. We enjoyed our stay immensely, plus it was near to Black Mountain which is a great destination for restaurants.
