Nestled on a quiet dead end road at the south end of Canandaigua Lake, this turn of the century vintage cottage has served as a summer home for the same family for generations. Turning back to a former time-a simpler time of family vacations on the lake with campfires and days on the water. This seasonal cottage entices everyone with its rustic charm, huge sun porch, country kitchen, and unsurpassed views and lake frontage.
The home has been modernized to offer modern comforts such as microwave and a small TV with VCR, yet it remains kept with antiquarian charm. There is a wood-burning stove to take the chill out of the cool nights in the cozy sitting room.
The heart of any house is the good old country kitchen. This homes kitchen has four ring stove top, full refrigerator, all cooking equipment and ample dishes and plates for a large gathering and outside the kitchen door is a traditional bell to ring and bring the children from the lake for family meals.
The antique oak dining table is a perfect place for a romantic dinner for two or for the entire family to gather to have an evening of reflective conversations and competitive board games.
Fresh breezes blow in from the adjacent enclosed screened porch,a perfect place to greet the morning or soak in the rays of the setting sun. The colorful radiance of this room hugs you with joy and happiness. The large farmhouse table, cushioned couch and chairs, and Adirondack chairs create an atmosphere that may inspire the artist, sip a morning coffee or evening cocktail from this perfect area. A place for reading, watching the family in the lake or at play or simply a place to have a family meal, you will never want to leave and will always await your return.
The large family bathroom is situated on the ground floor and has a shower, toilet and sink and plenty of room to dress or change.

The cove that the cottage fronts has one of the best views on the south of the lake – quiet clear waters and two level shelving shallow beaches into the lake. This makes swimming and water play terrific for children and adults alike. The setting is magnificent with a large level grass area shaded by trees and a permanent dock for you to dock your boat, swim, fish or simply watch the sun go down. There is a swing chair, fire pit for a campfire to toast marsh mellows and tell stories and ample beach chairs for a perfect day or night on the lakeshore.
Situated 30 minutes from the town but ideal located for daily trips to the local attractions including Wineries, Water parks, farm markets, Watkins Glen, Outlet shopping and all the Finger Lakes region has to offer this is truly a secluded vacation memory maker, with families returning year after year.

Water Craft:The owners do not accept any liability for damage when using docks, moorings, boat hoists on any property . Any damage will be sole responsibility of the Renter. Please advise us if you intend to bring any watercraft and we can advise you of suitability to the property
