Very Nice Updated Unit at A Fair Price

We are retired and live just a couple of hours from PCB and visit the beach frequently with our young grand children. We have used VRBO to rent different beach condos but have never written a review before. I have rented this same condo at The Summit two times. When I rented this condo for the July 4th, 2010 week I asked Bob about the review posted prior to my stay. He was very nice describing all of the recent improvements and assured me that everything had been addressed with the new updates. When I arrived I was very happy to see that it was even nicer than the photos and was better than he described. There is a 42” flat screen TV in the living room a 26” flat screen TV in the master bedroom and what looked like new carpet in the living room and bedrooms. I could tell that the condo had been freshly painted (there was a paint can left under the kitchen sink) and there was new balcony furniture (one lounge chair still had the tags on it). The master bedroom had what looked like all new bedding and there was new furniture and lamps in both bedrooms that did not show up in the pictures on the listing when I booked it. The condo was clean and very acceptable. I liked this condo a lot and decided to rent it from Bob again for Labor day week this year and the condo looked just as nice as last year and I got it for a great price. I think The Summit is a great place to bring the grand kids! There are two large wading pools, a kids playground on the beach a convenience store and ice cream shop and a little beach restaurant on the property. There is also a Tiki/Sports Bar by the pool for adults where you can sit and watch the grand kids on the playground. (Note to Bob: You can count this as two 5 Star reviews and we will be back again soon.)
Recommended for:Sightseeing, romantic getaway, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+.

For years I have read and used these reviews but I have never taken the time to post until now. We got what we considered a deal, therefore my expectations were not that high. However what we found was truly a filthy unit. Big black stains on all carpets, black grout on all tile, nasty shower curtains, hair around the bathroom faucets, stained towels and bed linens, sticky cabinetry, broken door knob, patio furniture and kitchen blender, stained couches and chairs etc... you get the picture. And I am not a picky person as long as it is clean. Even my two teenagers were disgusted. I just wanted to warn others.
