Our Slice of HEAVEN! Come have a fun and relaxing vacation at our beachfront little get-away on the Isle of Palms, Charleston, SC. Wake up in an oceanfront condominium on one of South Carolina's most beautiful beaches. Beautiful sunrise and an awesome sunset, dolphins out front in the surf. You can view all of this while keeping an eye on the kids in the pool, all from the comfort of your living room, kitchen, or balcony.
Located in the heart of Isle of Palms, this cozy condo is perfectly positioned. You are just steps from the beach and in walking distance to the island’s best restaurants, shops, and park. This condominium complex claims the only pier on the Front Beach strand, private for your fishing or relaxation enjoyment. Having grown up here, and visiting many of these Sea Cabins over time, we chose this unit specifically because the 2nd floor has the great view without the 3rd story climb (no elevator) every time we needed to grab one more thing, no roof leaks or HVAC noise, and because our end unit shares no BR wall, has open ended balcony, and no unit underneath us (just a meeting room used 3-4 x a year.)

IOP is a barrier island suburb of Charleston.You are only ten miles from the Historic District of Downtown Charleston, where you can shop at the Old Market. Take in the charm of this beautiful and historic town and learn more about Charleston on a horse-drawn carriage ride, or tour Charleston Bay and Fort Sumter by boat. South Carolina Aquarium, world class restaurants and shopping, live theater, live music, museums, and more.
*All condominiums and sea cabins are not in the same condition! Some of the condominiums and sea cabins have not been updated in many years and are not as nice and allergy-free as this unit. Ceiling and walls have all been replaced with smooth, mold-free sheetrock, new flooring and cabinets. This attractive condo, decorated in a tropical motif, is situated on the second floor of the center 'B' building. The balcony affords unobstructed panoramic ocean views of the ocean, as we are in the middle bldg facing straight out (the 2 others angle in). This view is also shared from LR and kitchen. The sunset is very nice over the entrance/ back porch area. Being an end unit gives us a small space as back porch which the others don't have.
PRIVACY! This condo also offers individual privacy. The hall with built-in bunk beds closes off to be its own private room for smaller guests with a nightlight and air/white noise machine available. top bunk is top secret hide out for kids (must replace quick-release cabinet doors if removed) The adults can then go back and forth from balcony/LR/kitchen to BR thru the seperate batroom door without waking the kids. We are well suited for 2-4 adults 25 and over, and 5 people if some are children. Top pf the line queen denim sleeper sofa adds extra sleeping. BR has upgraded new, medium firmness matresses. Bed linens and bath towels are provided.
Beginning June 1, 2015 we are going to all cotton, 500 count linens, and 100% cotton cover, top-line hypoallergenic pillows in bedroom; all cotton linens and allerest cotton pillows in bunks. Bear in mind please that 100% cotton wrinkles, and sunbathing products stain terribly. Sheets and towels are certainly guaranteed clean, but not free from such small product stains.
FREE WIFI and Chromecast in LR with your smart phone's free app, so you'll be able to access your Netflix, Amazon Prime, Vudu accts, Instagram photos, and much more.

*** VRBO has made changes in their system, 'for enhanced security', that may lead guests to think that they MUST book online thru VRBO with a credit card. That is NOT the case. We keep a few beach chairs & mats, a small/med cooler, and a some beach toys for guests to use. I also have info for a service that will set you up with wood and canvas loungers and umbrellas each morn.
You are a block from the Banana Cabana, the One Eyed Parrot, Long Island Cafe, Coconut Joe's, and many great restaurants. The world famous Windjammer beach bar offers up nightly entertainment, and Buddy Roe's Shrimp Shack in Mt. Pleasant has the best Lowcountry Shaggin (and fried shrimp baskets!)outside of OD. Historical, Boone Hall Plantation established in 1681, is only 5 miles away.

While enjoying the Island Life, you can go swimming, body surfing, play volleyball, dine at oceanfront restaurants, bike the beaches, jog, cruise the intercoastal waterway, sail, surf, windsurf, take in some live music, shop the boutiques. Check out the scuba diving or go deep sea fishing. Relax at a spa or try horseback riding. Kayak, parasail, water-ski, fish, go 'Crabin or Shrimpin,' walk the beach for shells, take a sunset cruise, charter a small boat, explore uninhabited islands, play some of the South’s finest golf courses. Whether you want to get a little tune-up to your swing or you are just starting to play, there is a PGA Professional available to you during your stay. Improve your game and/or just play a great course at a reduced rate. Mark Kennon, LMT of Tailored Massage 843-514-6731 offers massage at the beachhouse as well as the office nearby. He is amazing and a massage is a great way to enjoy your vacation. Do schedule in advance. No kickbacks here, just happy customers.
1 mile away, Mount Pleasant Towne Centre is an upscale shopping experience in classic southern style. With over 65 national and local tenants, including: Banana Republic, Gap, Bath & Body Works, Caché, Men's Wearhouse and Old Navy, as well as the regions only J.Jill, Coldwater Creek and Francesca's. Sample exquisite home-made candy at Sweet Julep's Candy & Gifts, or dine in style at PF Chang, Longhorn Steakhouse, Chili's, TGI Friday's, Atlanta Bread Company, - there is sure to be a culinary diversion to suit your palette. After dinner, stroll the lush, tree-lined streets or relax at the luxurious Palmetto Grande 16-screen theatre. Shem Creek’s famous shrimp boats and restaurants are 10 minutes away, and the Yorktown WWII destroyer and several historical plantations are all within easy driving distance.
There are security personnel on site to ensure safety, as well as parking, beach, pool, and pier access privleges. Bikes, chairs, and beach umbrella rentals are available nearby. Shopping, dining, nightly entertainment and post office are a very short walk.

(We provide a lmited amount of start-up paper goods, soaps, etc. We have upgraded medium firmness BR mattress after some guests found the other too soft. Previous full firm one brought other complaints, so we hope it will now please all.)

About the owner: My name is Susan Player Verbsky; a wife and mother by God's Grace, a Psychotherapist by training, with a small practice here for 17 years, and a Real Estate investment and management specialist by design for the same time period. I enjoy the great intangible rewards of Therapy, and, equally, the tangible rewards of developing a property and working with people planning vacation time.

Why the Owner Chose Isle of Palms:
After many years managing my parent's large wonderful beachfront home that rents for $8000 a week, we invested in a Old Village rental that would be easily accessible to the beach and historic downtown, and a more affordable vacation here for smaller families/groups. Positive experiences with that rental as well motivated us to invest in a Sea Cabin. We had loved these places for years as a perfect 1 family beach/Charleston get-a-way.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
2nd floor Views are as great as 3rd floor w/out the climb. Better rates and 2 1/2 x the size of the beachfront hotels, and much bigger balcony. Renovated kitchen and bath w/ fully replaced sheetrock walls and ceilings throughout for best allergy relief. End unit shares no BR wall with neighbor, has more open panoramic balcony, plus ours has an office below empty at night. ****We have just purchased a 1BR (king bed)/1BA 1 mile from the beach and 6 miles to Historic Downtown, which will be available July 11th with wide open calendar for this Summer/Fall... Please ask about the great rates (1/2 the rate of this great deal on beachfront) and availability. We will have another VRBO site up for it soon : )
