Why the Owner Chose Coral Bay
When we first visited St. John we fell in love with the beauty of the Island - the white sands, crystal clear water, the quiet beaches. We loved that you could go from one point on the island to another without spending too much time in your car. St. John is small but it has close to 31 beaches and each one has it's own personality and features so beach combing never gets boring. St John is also close enough to other islands so day trips are easy and of course great fun espeacially if you take one of the fun organized boat trips offering activities such as snorkeling. Oh yes and the snorkeling is great too!!
The Unique Benefits at this Villa
Sun Moon and Stars is perfect for couples. It's private and secluded but not far from beaches and attractions, that is of course if you choose leave the villa at all- many of our guests say they find it hard to leave the pool deck at all. The views over the other islands is amazing and the stars at night so romantic - if you are lucky enough to catch a full moon it's truly spectacular. It feels like you could almost reach out and touch it. The perfect place for a honeymoon or just a romantic getaway.

I grew up in Ireland just North of Dublin and my husband in New England. When I moved to the States and married Joe we took our first vacation to St. John and fell in love with the Island. We returned several times to the beautiful little Island and eventually we bought Sun Moon and Stars. Even though the house was in very bad shape when we first visited we were spell bound by the view that greeted us upon entering the villa. After 3 years of hard work we finally got the villa to where we wanted and opened it up to share with our many guests who have passed through the front door and yes, straight onto the porch to soak up the amazing view. We try return often to enjoy the peacefulness of Sun Moon and Stars and all the beauty St. John has to offer. We hope you'll enjoy all that St John has to offer too. The villa is lovely- bright, vibrant colors, comfortably furnished, and very well appointed kitchen. The views of Coral Bay and the BVIs are spectacular! I could not spend enough time on the expansive deck enjoying the views and the hummingbirds. We enjoyed the pool in the afternoon after spending the mornings at the beach at Salt Pond Bay. The location is quiet, peaceful and very relaxing. We definitely plan to return to this lovely villa. Recommended for: Age 55+, Romantic Getaway, Adventure Seekers

Copied over from listing number 154591 on homeaway. com The Sun, Moon and Stars is exactly what you will experience at this wonderful villa. Beautiful sunrises, moon by evening and stars galore! This villa has one of the most spectacular views on the entire island of St. John! The accomodations are very comfortable, warm and inviting...but the tradewinds are unbelievable...even though the villa has A/C, you will never need it. The porch and deck area is the most wonderful thing about the villa. The tradewinds, however, did cool the pool a little too much. The road is a tough one to drive up the mountain and you should make sure you have 4 wheel drive on your vehicle, but once you are there...it is worth every effort! I am a photographer and this was a dream place...local humingbirds will keep you entertained and if your lucky, one may even pose for you! I got some great shots! The villa care taker will make you feel more than welcome and all the locals are very friendly. But don't worry about privacy, the villa has all the privacy you need. The Wi-FI connection is a plus, as well as the CD player with a great speaker system. We found that some days, we would never leave the villa...it was just the most peaceful and relaxing place to be! We have rented other villas on the lsland in the past and have enjoyed most of them, but this one...we will definitly be back!

The internet description, pictures and the review determined our decision. We loved it! So peaceful.It is located almost at the top of a large hill, so the winds were constant, a little cool in February for the pool. Best were the views of many islands, boats and every night those gorgeous stars. Driving up the rocky hill is a bumpy but worth it when you get there. We had to make ourselves leave every few days to explore the great beaches. We cooked in mostly and danced the nights away on the great deck with steel band cd music. Water is collected by rain, so showers were short. We hope they have a jacuzzi in the garden next time we go, which will be as soon as possible. You will enjoy it more than you can imagine. Our spirits are still there even though our bodies have arrived back in South Carolina.
