One of the best locations on the popular west side of the village. Less than one block from the beach and tennis courts. Very clean and tastefully decorated. This non-smoking house was COMPLETELY REMODELED. All furniture is NEW. All linens and towels are updated frequently. This 1450 square foot home is furnished with a cozy mix of wicker, cottage, and lodge-looking furniture for an "up north" feel. New Pergo floors, ceramic tile, and carpeting throughout.
There is a large (20x22), lodge-looking, family room with a stone fireplace, bookcases, sleeper sofa, loveseat, chair, flat screen TV, and DVD/VCR. Bring your laptop because we have WI-FI. The living room has a cottage look with an armoire holding a flat screen TV and stereo, and wicker furniture. The kitchen has ALL NEW: appliances, glazed maple cabinets, countertops, recessed and pendant lighting, ceramic tile floor, and seven barstools around the snack bar. It is fully stocked with new dishes, bowls, pots and pans, coffee-maker, blender etc. It has everything you will need!
Brand new mattresses, pillows, comforters, and linens. Master bedroom has attached bathroom with granite counter, ceramic tile floor, and large shower. Second bedroom has a single bed, and a double log bed with bunk. TVs in both bedrooms. The bathrooms have all new vanities, counters, ceramic tile floors, mirrors, lighting, and shower.
Less than one block to the beach, tennis courts, basketball courts, village park: all on Grand Traverse Bay. Our cottage is on Traverse St. between Spruce and Ash. Two blocks to the shops, restaurants, marina/harbor, library, movie theater, antique shops, coffee shop, etc.

Why the Owner Chose Elk Rapids
My husband and I rented a house in Elk Rapids for a week every summer. We rented the same house for 15 years! When the owner decided to live in the house year round, we bought this house so our children would make wonderful memories, as we have, of this quaint, charming town.

We loved our stay at this clean, comfortable, and lovely home. It had everything we needed including TV's for each of us!! The location couldn't have been better! We could walk everywhere. We'd like to return to this home each summer and make more Elk Rapids memories.

Our family group -- ages 8 to 75 -- thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is beautifully maintained and has just about everything needed to make for delightful vacation. The location -- just a block from a the beach, playground and tennis courts and only a couple more blocks to Elk Rapid's charming downtown area (and a great ice cream shop) -- is a real plus. The nearby marina is a wonderful spot to watch sunsets over the bay. Several excellent places to eat are close by offering everything from fine dining to pizza. And important, the house itself is in a very lovely and quiet neighborhood. The area offers great boating and some wonderful rivers for kayaking.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children.
