We had a great time at Twin Maples. It was VERY comfortable. Owners did everything possible to make our stay comfortable and the trip easy. They provided all essentials from shampoo to condiments to a pooper scooper for our dog! Cozy little cottege with a great yard (fenced in). Neighbors were very kind as well. We had a yummy breakfast at the Colonial Beach Rescue Squad hosted by the Ladies Aux. thanks to one neighbor's invite! There is one awesome State Park a short drive from the cottege. Be sure to visit Westmoreland state park if you like hiking, boating and hunting for shark teeth as much as we do. Also, make sure to save some time to spend relaxing on each of the three porches at Twin Maples!

This cottage was the most amazing place.....we rented it for the Colonial Beach Moose Lodge Dart Tournament, which was held in March! We did not get to spend as much time in the cottage as we wanted to, but the time spent there was awesome. The property is very well maintained...clean....items that you might have forgotten, are there for you to use. We bought our own food, and that was it!! We highly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to get away. We walked to the pier....we ate at a wonderful seafood restaurant and had lunch at Fat Freidas.....next time we all go, we will not be throwing darts.......we will be enjoying the cottage and the beautiful small town of Colonial Beach. Lisa, the owner, was so helpful.....we did not want to leave on Sunday!! Thank you, Lisa......we WILL be back!!!!

My family and I stayed at the Twin Maples Cottage for an extended stay while our house was being built. The Twin Maples is a very comfortable cottage and is located w/in walking distance from the attractions at Colonial Beach. It's an ideal location for a weekend retreat or a family vacation for a week or so. Enjoy!

What a great place! We've rented for 3 years and this is by far the best. We found everything at the cottage to make our week wonderful. We could walk to the shops, restaurants and, of course, the beach. The fireworks on the 4th were amazing! We even spent a day doing nothing because the cottage was so comfortable. When we are in Colonial Beach we will definitely stay at Twin Maples again.

Hi Lisa & Gus, Our stay at Twin Maples Cottage was like staying as your guest in your home. You managed to have everything there in case I had forgotten something. I can't remember the last vacation where we truly relaxed! The beach was wonderful, the people friendly and the way of life was just what we needed. We would love to come back to enjoy Twin Maples and Colional Beach. Also my two toy poodles (Bella-Baby & Maggie-Mae) made friends with your neighbor's Yorkie's. Another plus............ The cottage was awesome. Along with my sister and brother-in-law, my husband and I stayed at Twin Maples for the first time. The cottage is wonderful--very comfortable. It is very well-stocked!!!!! The town is quaint and quiet. The beach is very nice and clean. We had a great time.

The cottage was absolutely the cutest thing we had ever seen. All the little "extras" were great. Myself and 6 other girls went to Colonial Beach for a "bachlorette weekend". The atmosphere was perfect. Lisa was super accomodating. The whole experiance was awesome.

Even though it was cool and rainy, we had a wonderful time at Colonial Beach, because the house was so comfortable, warm and cozy. Its' location is wonderful- you can walk to so much and are never far from anything. The kitchen was amazingly well-stocked with staples and condiments, which made it so easy to do a little cooking. And how nice that there was a computer there that was easy to access- didn't have to go down to the Starbu...oops, there isn't a Starbucks in CB! Yet! I agree that it was easy to communicate with Lisa to set things up, too. I highly recommend Twin Maples, and Colonial Beach in general, too.

We had a lovely birthday celebration at the Twin Maples Cottage. We felt right at home and appreciated that we could bring our two Cairn Terriers with us with no worries. As far as the business of reserving and renting the cottage, all of this was very smooth and much of it conducted conveniently via email. Overall, we are very happy we made the choice to stay at the Twin Maples Cottage and look forward to returning again soon!

WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME IN COLONIAL BEACH AND TWIN MAPLES ADDED TO OUR ENJOYMENT. IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL, COZY COTTAGE THAT MADE US FEEL VERY WELCOME. IT WAS VERY CLEAN AND WELL STOCKED. IT WAS VERY CONVIENENT TO EVERYTHING. THE FENCED IN YARD WAS AN EXTRA BONUS WITH OUR DOG. I WOULD RECOMMIND IT TO ANYONE WHO NEEDS A PLEASANT GEET AWAY.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived and everything in the cottage was so spotless. Kudos to Christine!! Everything we needed was right at our cottage. The cottage was big enough for 2 boys (3 and 8 years old)and a 5 month old Sheltie to have space to play and run but cozy enough to spend time together as a family. We have stayed in many places before and Twin Maples is by far the best place we've stayed. The town was small and quaint which is what we wanted since we needed some "R&R. This place is bookmarked in my favorites on my computer just in case we have the urge to go to Virginia again. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful experience! The Diaz Family.

Twin Maples Cottage offered our family a delightful, clean, well-stocked, very cozy place to stay in Colonial Beach, VA. Our boys (ages 2 and 4) felt right at home at Twin Maples, as did my husband and I. We found the town both quiet and quaint when we visited, and what a lovely stroll from and so near to the cottage. I recently rented Twin Maples Cottage during the Riverfest Weekend for a few of my fellow teachers and I. The cottage is a roomy, clean and charming house located near the center of the town of Colonial Beach. Not only was the kitchen well stocked, but the cottage has a cute back deck where guests can sit out in the evening and enjoy a cookout, or happy hour under the nice shade trees. Both days we walked to Lenny's for breakfast and we had dinner at RiverBoat while watching the fireworks over the Potomac. A great place to relax and enjoy all the charms of Colonial Beach, a small friendly town.

A colleague of mine and I needed accomodations for the week of June 10th while on business in the area. All hotels/motels were booked and the closest accomodations were in Fredricksburg. Fortunately, we found what turned out to be a great find! The Twin Maples Cottage in Colonial Beach was not only convenient but was much more than we could have imagined. This cottage is better equiped than any rental or time share I've stayed in. We unsed the grill one evening for a great steak dinner. Our only regrets are that we spent all day working and had limited time to enjoy the village. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting to spend time near the water and enjoy some excellent restaurants and quiet relaxation.

If you are looking for a quiet and restful vacation, Twin Maples Cottage is your perfect destination. The home is simply lovely and inviting; very well kept, clean, and comfortable and has all the amenities of your own home. (We own a timeshare and belong to RCI and we have never stayed in a resort condominium as fully equipped for comfort as Twin Maples.) The town of Colonial Beach is equally as charming as Twin Maples Cottage. We did not want to leave when the week ended!! We plan to return to Twin Maples as often as possible for relaxation, peace, comfort, and the Potomac River breezes and seafood.

The house was spotless, even the flower beds were weeded...any little thing that I might have forgotten to bring was there if I needed it. I have been a vacation property manager for 13 years and have never experienced such thoughtful, careful, caring homeowners as the owners of Twin Maples. My two small dogs were in heaven with the fenced yard...and the lush grass felt mighty good on my toes as well. It was also great having the hi-speed internet available...even though i was supposed to be on vacation. I can't possibly say enough good things about this vacation house....I highly recommend it.

My golden retriever - Shakespeare - and I spent a wonderful week at Twin Maples this past September (2006. This was our first visit to Colonial Beach - we had a lazy week spent walking and relaxing. The cottage was just delightful - more so than I had expected - spotlessly clean, every amentity we needed, and so so comfortable we didn't leave the cottage too often we were so content to laze around and feel very much at home! We will definitely be back - perhaps we'll make it a yearly visit! A great location too if you feel like driving off and exploring. Thanks again for a perfect week.
