Due to the economy, we want to help with your vacation plans. Once you have vacationed with us, we know you will be like others and keep coming back. Once here, you will enjoy the secluded country mountain setting.
Mountain Creek Cottages are located on 12 acres of secluded mountain land in the Western North Carolina mountains. From the moment you cross over our mountain creek and enter the property, you will find a peaceful and beautiful place to spend your vacation.
We offer one, two, or three bedroom cottages that sleep 4 to 9 guests. We have an additional one bedroom cottage on the property which our guests enjoy for RETREATS and FAMILY REUNIONS allowing for large groups and sleeping an additional 4 guests.
Our guests enjoy listening to the creek, fishing in the small mountain lake, relaxing in the hammock between the lake and the waterfall on the creek and watching for the wildlife that appears at random. Wild ducks and geese come usually in the spring and fall. If you are lucky, you may see large cranes and other birds that frequently come in the summer. In the spring, the noisiest thing our guests hear are the frogs in the lake. The bull frogs have a very deep sound.
If you prefer to explore, there are many interesting places within a short drive. Dupont State Forest, Chimney Rock Park, the Biltmore House Estate, Flat Rock Playhouse,and the Carl Sandburg estate are just a few places within a few minutes of the cottages. If you would like tickets for any of the above attractions (such as the Flat Rock Playhouse) we will be happy to have them waiting for you on your arrival. The tickets will be added to your account automatically.
The cottages were renovated in 2007 and we are continuously keeping them maintained so our guests have clean and comfortable accommodations. They have everything you need to make your vacation a memorable one. The kitchens are fully equipped. You do not have to bring things like dishwasher detergent, salt, pepper, paper towels or toilet tissue.
We will supply what you need for your stay (not just a starter supply). You just need to bring your groceries if you decide to eat on site or if you choose to eat out, there are many nice restaurants in the Hendersonville area. Our cottages include an iron and ironing board, hair dryer, VCR, DVD, satellite TV, and a collection of movies and DVD’s for our guests to enjoy.
