The house was very comfortable, as well as the beds. The neighborhood is very quiet. We really enjoyed the peacock visits every evening. We would definately return for another weekend of bridge.

Great Weekend for Large Groups

We rented the peacock house for a long weekend in early October. The owner was very accommodating and resourceful. It was clean, stocked well with all the necessities you would need for a long weekend and had plenty of games to play. The layout allowed for different groups (3 couples and 2 teenagers) to getaway to a private place in the home or out on the deck and you never felt crowded. The two floors provided plenty of living space and sleeping space. We also rented the boat. It was wonderful, large and easy to handle....a great way to see the lake and a fun activity for a group. Pay attention to where you go when on the lake since the house is tucked away in a little cove and make sure you have someone that you know how to drive a boat because the dock and cove are pretty tight. The house is also just down the road from Sweet Berry Farm which is a great family or group place to go during spring or fall. Everyone in our group highly recommends this home and can't wait to come back.

WOW! What a great weekend we had at your house. Unfortunately the winds were very strong on the lake so we didn’t get to boat as much as we would have liked. Thank goodness the house was the perfect spot to play cards and board games, sneak off to another area for a cat nap, relax on the deck watching the peacocks, and even getting the old man (me) to play a Wii video game or two…it really was one of the best weekends we had had in a while. Thank you so much for everything and we look forward to renting with you again!! Thank you again from the entire Anderson family!!!

The Bayless family spent a wonderful week (June 27 to July 5) in the beautiful Peacock House. For many years we have treated our children and grandchilden to a week of vacation. We have spend most of these at the beach or bay. This year decided to try the River and we are so happy that we did. The Hill Country is so beautiful and we found the Peacock House to be delightful. Everything was super nice, lots of good space for enjoying most everything. The grand daughters really enjoyed the hot tub! I really enjoyed the kitchen and fantastic cookware. We enjoy just staying in cooking and eating. Also enjoyed the decks where we could really relax and grill outside.O Overall everything was WONDERFUL! Great house and property for a family vacation! There is plenty of living space and sleeping space. Loved the big kitchen...easy for "too many" cooks to work in. Included in our family vacation, we had 3 older adults who all slept upstaris and a young family with a toddler and a baby all housed in the downstairs area for extra quiet when needed. We all enjoyed spending most of our indoor time in the upstairs living areas, nestled in the treetops with the huge wall of windows and view of the lake. The outdoor areas were plentiful and varied. We were especially glad to have the grassy areas for the toddler to play in. The dock and waterfront met our needs perfectly. All the wildlife was a highlight for everyone, not just the 2-year old. We saw numerous deer everyday and had a peacock roost in one of our trees every night...plus turtles, ducks, geese, woodpeckers, cardinals, etc. The house was well-equipped, well-maintained and accurately represented. It was our first time to stay in the Granite Shoals area. The house was easy to find and very close to the conveniences of Marble Falls. There is wonderful BBQ to be had at Cooper's in Llano (about 35 min). For the 2nd year in a row, we vivisted the Exotic Zoo in Johnson City (30 min). It is a super fun and memorable family outing not to be missed. A great vacation!!

We rented the peacock house for 6 days & will recommend this rental highly. The owners have stocked the rental with all the needs & the furniture & fixtures are outstanding. We were able to rent their boat directly & it was wonderful to come & go on the lake as we please. The boat was large & comfortable & easy to handle. We hated to leave the place.....very relaxing for all!!!

I came to the Peacock House for a girls weekend with a number of friends. We had a wonderful time & wanted for nothing! The house was fully stocked for cooking, the beds were very comfortable, the grill was great! The kitchen was wonderful-we were able to all pitch in & have room.We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub, enjoying some fresh air on the deck & just sitting in front of the TV. This is a wonderful house-the owners have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable & memorable! Will definitely be back! And would recommend this house to anyone!

My family would like to recommend Lake LBJ Peacock House to other families. We stayed with our son, his wife and our three grand kids from June 13 to the 17th. We had a wonderful time. Our other son who lives in Austin join us what was suppose to be a one day stay ended up staying 3 days, because it was so nice. The house has plenty of space and is really set up perfect for a family or small group get together. Very clean and plenty to do. The location of the house is perfect for those who enjoy boating. We could be on the Colorado river in 10 minutes enjoying the smooth water for skiing and wakeboarding or head to the main lake in minutes for sight seeing or some good fishing. After enjoying water sports all day the hot tub was a welcomed sight. I loved being on a cove were my boat didn't get beat up from wakes and was protected in a boat house. Just around the corner from the house is a little park that was great for taking our 6 year old and six month old grand daughters swimming. There is where we launched our boat. It is a good boat launch! We found the owners very pleasant to work with and very willing to answer all our questions. It was easy to tell they take pride in this lake house and in making their guest welcomed. When they tell you that all you need to bring is your clothes and food believe them. This house has every thing. The only disappointment we had was we didn't stay long enough. We can't wait until our next visit, when we plan to stay longer. Thanks & God's Blessings! We spent 4th of July at the Peacock House with our children and grandchildren. The owners thought of everything. There were plenty of games, movies, etc. for the kids during evening hours when they can't be in the water. We had 6 adults and 4 kids and the Peacock House well accomodated our crowd. Very open and spacious. Two huge decks with lawnchairs, tables with umbrellas, even a lawncouch. At night we sat out under the stars on the deck over the boathouse. On our first night there before the kids and grandkids got there, me and my husband had the whole house to ourselves and when we drove up in the driveway there were deer and peacocks standing in the yard and driveway. We loved the Peacock House and recommend it to anyone who has a place you want to go and build some family memories. You will love the Peacock House. We did.

We spent our Thanksgiving holiday at the Peacock House and had a wonderful time! With 4 bedrooms and two living areas, the house is very spacious and comfortable. The wall of windows in the upstairs gives a great view and there are two dining tables that easily seat 14. Very comfortable beds, quality linens and towels. The home is very well stocked. You will find everything from china dishes to games and movies. Outside, the decks are large and have plenty of seating. We all enjoyed the two peacocks that roam around the yard! Besides a being a great house, the owners are very friendly and helpful. If looking for a lake house, I would strongly recommend you consider this one.

We just spent Labor Day weekend at the Peacock House with a party of 10 adults and had a fabulous time. The house is beautifully appointed with upscale furniture and fully stocked with everything from pots & pans to bar glasses. No detail was overlooked! We loved the decks and found that there was always enough comfortable outdoor seating even for a big group like ours. We also enjoyed watching the peacocks every morning. We couldn't have wished for a better lake house to spend our holiday. The owners were always readily available and always more than happy to answer our questions and offer help. We will definately recommend the Peacock House to all of our friends and family!

This was our 3rd summer to go to LBJ. This was the best trip yet. We loved the ability to play both inside and out. The decks provided great outdoor room for activities and the two floors provided privacy when needed. Furnishings were very comfortable and there was never a fight over a bed...there were plenty! The kitchen lay out helped when there were multiple "chefs." We cooked the largest portion of our meals out on the grill and it was GREAT!!

It was Wonderful. We had a party of 8 adults and 3 kids and we had plenty of room. The decks outside were great and being in a cove it was very private. The only negative was the bathroom door upstairs was hard to close! We will return!

This was one of the best rentals that I have ever had. The house was great. Everything was very clean and very well thought out. All you have to bring is Food, Clothing and Toys. I will definitly stay here again. I have already told my Brother and my Sister-in-law and they are going to book a trip.
