The Rico House is a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath home located in the historic mining town of Rico, Colorado, tucked away at 8,800 feet of elevation in the rugged San Juan Mountains, just 25 minutes south of Telluride's Mountain Village. This home is a nice alternative to the high cost of lodging in the immediate Telluride vicinity.
The home features a large garage, and front yard, bordered by seasonal flower beds and a tranquil creek across the street. A few minutes walk down the road takes you to the Dolores River, where rainbow and brown trout are abundant, and the local hot spring beckons.
A canoe is available for use on Trout Lake, an incredibly beautiful alpine lake just up the highway from Rico. Lizardhead Pass offers endless nordic and backcountry skiing opportunites in the winter, and miles of hiking trails in the summer.
Within an hour or two drive is the Ouray Hot Springs, Durango and its Narrowgage Railway, Silverton, Mesa Verde National Park, Four Corners Monument, and Moab, Utah.
