We stayed this summer and it was great. Lots of room for everyone and pretty close to anything we needed. The view was spectacular, spent many evenings on the front deck watching the sun go down. The house itself was fitted perfectly with everything we needed and more. Beds were comfortable and the dining areas, inside or out, were very spacious. Had a very good time and would not hesitate to stay again when in the area.Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with teenagers.

Stayed here for a week during the spring wine festival. Since there were great views from the main level and the upper level, there wasn't a need to go anywhere else. However, the great location made it easy to access almost anything in the area: wineries, shopping, downtown (Kelowna and Westside), Mt. Boucherie park, etc. Would come again.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.

Fantastic home with very comfortable furniture and well stocked with all the things you may need. The views cannot be described, you have to experience it to appreicate them. There is a view of some sort from every window in the house. However, the view from the front balconies will leave you breathless. Owners are good to deal with. They were a little slow to respond but did eventually get back to us. Everything went well and I would highly recommend renting this house. We plan to return.Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Exemplary rental house, understated on the outside but well designed, practical, cozy, with great natural light, 180 degree views, compact modern kitchen, good Internet and Vonage type phones, multilevel for privacy, very close to excellent wineries and gourmet restaurants, and 10 min drive to center of kelowna across the bridge. Overall had a wonderful trouble free one month stay in the autumn, with sunny skies and crisp weather. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

This open plan home provided a great base for touring wineries in the Okanogan. The balconies provide an incredible view of Kelowna and the lake. The lazy boy recliners on the deck are great to kick back in and enjoy sunrises and sunsets. The house overlooks several wineries, notably Quail's Gate and Volcanic Hills, and is a short drive to a provincial park with beach access and hiking trails.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

We stayed in this home for the month of December, and had an absolutely delightful experience. Most of our time was spent watching the lake and cloud formations from the excellent vantage point in the living room - we never tired of the views. The evening views with no streetlights made it spectacular. The house is exceptionally well equipped, very clean and beautifully furnished. Kelowna city center is a short drive away, and the Quail's gate Winery is far too close! There is lots of room in the place, we had two couples over for a New Year's get together and stay over, and we never felt crowded. Shirley, the owner, was very accommodating and helpful. We have no hesitation in recommending this home to others.Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed in this lovely home for a week with 2 other couples. It was very comfortable and had so many amenities and such wonderful views, we found ourselves cooking at home and sitting on the deck rather than going out. There was enough different spaces that we had the room we needed to be comfortable and never felt constrained. The location is close to many wineries and a short drive to downtown Kelowna We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it!Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with teenagers.

WE found this vacation home to be very comfortable for our family of 5. Plenty of room in both sleeping accommodation and sitting rooms. We were also impressed with the spotlessly clean condition of the home. The kitchen had every ammenity imaginable and was easy to cook in. It was a treat to stay here. Both sunrise and sunset can be viewed from the spectacular balconies and also from indoors. We enjoyed seeing the moon shining on the surface of Lake Okanagan from our bedroom windows. There is also a lovely walk up to the top of Mt Boucherie accessible right nearby from the end of McCallum Rd. Thank you for letting us stay in your gorgeous vacation home!Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with teenagers.

My wife and I stayed here in late 2009 and we liked it so much we returned again in early 2010. Having rejected many other vacation properties in the area we were won over by the excellent description on the website. We wanted an exceptional property and were so pleased to walk through the front door and have our expectations exceeded from the first minute. The house was wonderful and the quiet, convenient location, was an added bonus. The property is clean, well designed and extremely comfortable. The owners are very anxious to make it a home from home experience and absolutely everything has been thought of to make guests feel extremely welcome. The kitchen is well equipped and the lounge has comfortable leather recliner arm-chairs. The bedrooms have hotel quality beds but we couldn't believe that anyone would want to stay in a downtown hotel when this property was available. We spent many evenings in the comfortable sun room overlooking the lake and lights of the city. As the road outside hasn't got bright street lighting the views any time of the day or night were unbelievable. Talking about location, what a convenient place this is. It is within a very easy drive to major supermarkets, downtown numerous theatres and dozens of wineries. This house is ideally situated for all that the Okanagan has to offer and it really has got a million dollar view. This visit was one of the most memorable and restful experiences we have had. After our stay we came home to a very rainy United Kingdom and given the opportunity we would be back in a flash. We have stayed in several rental vacation properties in Canada over the years but this one was simply the best yet. Well done to the owners for making this such a positive experience, thanks for being available at the end of the phone for tips and holiday advice and best wishes for the future.Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

About the owner: We are Dennis and Shirley Ekvall, currently living in Calgary, Alberta.
Why the Owner Chose Kelowna:
We've vacationed in the BC interior for years and determined that the Kelowna area fit our wants and needs perfectly. A bigger center for a variety of activities, easy access to both Kalamalka and Okanagan lakes, great summer weather and all the fresh fruit you can eat from June to October!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our house overlooks Okanagan lake. 180 degree views are delightful at any time of day. Sunrise, sunsets, watching the weather change and approach down the valley, changing landscapes across the lake as the fire-ravaged hillside rejuvinates itself every year - are all great to experience. Listen closely and you can hear the bell at Mission Hill winery a few times each day. Our property affords a peaceful get-away, or a jumping off point to nearby destinations such as Penticton, the Kettle Valley, Vernon and many interesting points in between.
