This cozy, open-concept cabin, filled with light and character, features a loft sleeping area, one bathroom, and a fully outfitted kitchen - perfect for a couple but can also accommodate two more on a queen futon in the living area. The exterior has a fenced-in yard with seating areas and a propane grill.

Why the Owner Chose Crested Butte
Welcome to the magical land that is Crested Butte. We're glad you found us. Both Sheryl and Trevor have a long history with this wonderful town...separately finding our way here sometime around 1993 from New Hampshire and Vermont, respectively. Although we were both ski/snowboard bums around the same time, we never met until we were both daily-grind career types in Boston 7 years later. We shared similar friends in Boston and, low and behold, after our first conversation, we found out we had a lot of the same Crested Butte friends as well. Synchronicity. If you believe in the concept, you'll find it runs heavy here. In 2002, Trevor and Sheryl moved back to Colorado, bought this little cabin and nicknamed it the Love Shack. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

We visited during the summer of 2010 and "the loveshack" worked out perfect for us as a couple with a dog. The house is small but suits 2 people easily and could accommodate 4 people as well. The house had a small but accommodating fenced in backyard with plenty of patio furniture which was perfect for us to lounge around and for our dog to sniff around in the late afternoon. We really enjoyed the excellent location as far as downtown Crested Butte goes. All the restaurants and shops are easily within walking distance. Probably the best part after a long day of hiking would be grabbing a meal and few drinks at the numerous bars/restaurants within walking distance of the house. We had an excellent time and will come back again in the future.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with young children.

I visited The Love Shack with my daughter and 2 grandchildren (ages 4&9) July 28-30, 2008. We absolutely LOVED this cute cabin and the town of Crested Butte. The cabin contained everything we needed to make our stay perfect and the location is superb. We could walk everywhere including great hikes filled with wildflowers. The Love Shack's yard was filled with daisies. We will be back.

We stayed here in the fall of '07 and loved it!! The place is really cute, the location is amazing and the fact that we could bring our pooch was the best!! I hope to stay here many more times! I love Crested Butte!

Our first visit to CB and the first time in the "Love Shack" was everything we expected and more. Although small, the house has all you need and you could not ask for better location. Walk to town, leave for a ride directly from the house are all a plus. The house was very clean and the yard is so cute. Can't wait to come back again.

We stayed here July 28th-August 2nd. Great location...exceptionally clean and well-kept! Very small, but worked out well for us as a couple, and our 2 dogs, who enjoyed the neighborhood walks each day. Kitchen has every amenity. Enjoyed our stay!
