  I stayed in this incredible house for one week with 3 other women. We were in heaven! We had absolutely everything we needed and more! We strongly recommend that you go to the house and check out the kitchen BEFORE you go grocery shopping. We found oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, spices and some canned goods already in the house. We cooked 5 dinners in the house. It was so incredibly relaxing and the beach is just steps away - NEVER crowded. There was an abundance of bath towels and beach towels. The washer and dryer worked wonderfully. This house was a great home base for discovering every corner of the island. Susie was incredible to work with. I cannot wait to come back!

  I hesitate to even share this, because I really don't want to share it and have to compete for the opportunity to stay at this very, very nice beach home. And home it is ... Hale O' Lazy Bay. This is a very complete vacation rental, as soon as you've poked around and found everything ... you realize that you have found everything that you would expect to find at your home. Plus it is clean (immaculate) and comfortable, with comfortable beds as well. And, from what I've seen in Moloa'a Bay they have the BEST front porch of any home in the area. The front porch (and thereby the great outdoors) is easily accessed by opening the 8' wide double doors from the living room ... wow, is that awesome. You'll feel right at home. You don't have to leave the house/porch ... you feel/hear/smell the ocean and beach ... but you can walk the 50' to the beach if you want ... we did. No A/C, ceiling fans in all rooms ... trade winds provide cooling. Moloa'a Bay has snorkeling (you'll have to rent your own snorkel gear, it's the only thing they don't provide), boogie boarding, sun bathing or tree shaded sleeping for a less intense beach visit ... we've personally seen Green Sea Turtles and have heard of the Monk Seals visiting. At low tide, the East side has rocks that I'm sure are great for kids to explore and find sea life up close. Parking ... I didn't mention parking ... there is just minimal public parking for Moloa'a Bay. Which is great because it deters a lot of people, minimizing the people. However, you, you get front row parking every time, all the time. Moloa'a Bay is AWESOME!

  This is our second time staying here. After hours of looking for the perfect house with beach front access, I decided to stick with the house we stayed in 8 years prior. Our return back convinced us of not having to ever look elsewhere for our perfect getaway. The house is big enough with 4 bedrooms and also a fouton pull out in the TV room. We always enjoyed our drive back down to the secluded spot by the beach after a day of sightseeing. We realized though this time that the most perfect snorkeling on the island is actually on the West side of Mooloa bay which is protected by a reef (although there is a current you have to watch) There was such a large variety of fish and the little crabs on the beach that my boys loved. The highlight of the trip was our nightly walks on the beach with flashlights where Sea Turtles rested from their day of swimming. There is a wonderful hike on the trail that leads up the hill on the West Side also. The little river right at the end of the road has a great rope swing also for young ones. We used the grill at the house, the outside shower and found all utensils and house items we needed. The master bed is so very comfortable. There are not enough words to express our love for this house and truly hope we can return one day. We just hope we can enjoy the house for 2 weeks next time we come back to Hale O lazy bay! Thank you for the vacation of a lifetime!

  Many years ago I stumbled upon Moloa'a Bay. I knew that someday I'd want to spend a vacation on the beach there. When I decided to make that happen I looked on the VRBO web site and found Lazy Bay Hi. As soon as I threw open the wall of doors to the beach out front, I knew I was in a very special place. I've now been coming here for many years as have many of my friends. Like me, they feel a sense of ownership about this place. It's that special. I come here at least once a year. I really have to commend Susie and Mark on owning such a well stocked home. With the addition of WiFi and unlimited telephone service, they've got it all. I really like having internet service for sending vacation photos to family and friends. This trip I sent dozens. If you are looking for a restful, low key vacation with a semi-private beach for a neighbor, this is the place for you. In eleven days we turned on the television once to watch 60 Minutes. The rest of the time we read, swam, dined outside and relaxed the time away. The views and the sound of the waves breaking on the beach were all we needed for entertainment. I can't recommend Lazy Bay Hi enough. The location is ideal for going anywhere on the island. I ate in Haena, Hanalei, Princeville, Kapaa, Lihue and Poipu this trip. I spent very little time driving to all these locations and heck, the scenery to and from Moloa'a Bay is some of the best in the world. I hope you give Lazy Bay Hi a chance and find out why I call this special spot on our planet my cloud from heaven. It's that wonderful.

  This was our second year in a row for staying at Hale O'Lazy Bay. We just love the place. Even though it is not right on the beach, it has great access to one of the nicest beaches we've ever enjoyed, and you hear the ocean all the time throughout the house. There is a peek at the bay from the lanai. Mark and Susie provide an excellent house, and it is decorated and furnished in adorable Island Style. It has a well-equipped kitchen, the rooms are clean, and the house is very comfortable. We take Mom with us (87), and give it three thumbs up. We'll be back next year -- what more can we say?
