We stayed at Casa Jose with our good friends from Chicago and their children this past February and had a great time. The house is beautiful - we loved the big open living room and open kitchen because we could watch the kids play while sipping margs at the kitchen island. The outdoor sitting space was nice too because we could get a little shade and you have a direct view of that beautiful ocean. The ocean is just down the lane - one house to the sand. We didn't have a car or need one because downtown is a short walk away. You can even walk to Walmart in 15 minutes. The owners were very helpful - lent us two pack-n-plays, an exersaucer and a couple baby seats. It made vacationing with young kids much easier. Playa del Carmen was such a cosmopolitan destination. There were so many restaurants to choose from. We loved going to the outdoor market and getting fresh produce for dinner. The kids loved the fresh fruit ladies on the walk into town. I would recommend Casa Jose to all my friends. We will definitely stay there the next time we take a vacation in Playa del Carmen! Our friends agree - especially with their short flight from Chicago.
