Antibes apartment description
Imagine yourself in an art-filled and much-loved apartment in the beautiful heart of old Antibes. You’re in an aerie overlooking the rooftops of one of the Côte d’Azur’s most fabled cities, on a cobbled pedestrian street lined with local boutiques and just steps from the town’s Provençal market which bursts daily with fresh foods, locally-prepared specialities, and delicacies from all over France.
The apartment is furnished in a relaxed and cozy style, with beautiful beamed ceilings, cool whitewashed walls and art from local artists throughout.
The sejour, or main room, is a large open space, with two 'Juliet' balconies opening over Rue Sade, comfortable seating arranged around a stone fireplace, and a dining area accommodating up to 10 guests. An American-style kitchen opens on to the room, lavishly equipped with everything you’ll require.
Accommodating up to seven guests, this is the rental for you if you want a 'home from home' plus a taste of Provencale life. You can shop in the Marche - the best on the Cote d'Azur, bursting with local produce of every kind - and prepare dinner in the fully-equipped kitchen with a glass of the local rose or visit one of the plethora of wonderful restaurants within walking distance.
Perfect for two couples travelling together, the apartment has two large bedrooms, each with a private en-suite bathroom, ample closets, and comfortable queen-sized beds. The front bedroom has a double-door balcony high above the street, and the back bedroom overlooks a quiet courtyard bursting with orange trees.
There’s also a cozy den with a television and DVD player and a small selection of cable channels; a sofabed in the den sleeps one adult or two small children. If you require more sleeping arrangements, the wrap-around sofa in the front room converts to a comfortable double bed as well.
Included in your rental is access to the telephone for free local and international calls. There’s wireless broadband as well, which you are welcome to use free of charge if you bring your laptop computer. The apartment even has its own washing machine.
The town of Antibes is one of the jewels of the Riviera, situated on one of the Mediterranean’s finest harbours. The Old Town teems with terrific local restaurants, shopping for everything from locally-grown foodstuffs to the finest fashions, and wonderful cafés and bars. There’s a cinema, a theatre which sponsors performances in English as well as other languages, and world-class museums and galleries.
You can walk to the local beaches, or go a bit further to the glamorous swimming spots along the Cap d’Antibes. In Winter, skiing in the Alps is less than two hours’ drive away. And yachting and boating make up a main part of the Antibes charm; its marina is the best on the Riviera.
You’re a 20 minute drive from the Nice-Côte d’Azur Airport. Less than half an hour’s drive from the front door is Cannes, the glamorous film capital of France, as well as Nice, with its wonderful shopping and beaches. 45 minutes away is the famous hilltop village St. Paul de Vence, Monte Carlo with its casinos and high living population, Cap Ferrat, also known as Millionaires Row, and Grasse, famous for perfumes. Italy is 60 minutes away, Provence an hour and a half.

"All This, And Heaven Too"
Antibes is special. It combines all the features that make the French Riviera such an irresisitible sensual feast with the appeal of a real French town, which also happens to be bursting with culture and art. All this... and then: this fabulous apartment. Decorated with exquisite taste in the spirit of its setting, it offers every comfort, is peaceful, relaxing and exceptionally pleasing to the eye. The owner's genuine desire to share his knowledge and enjoyment of the area seeps through the pages of the information pack, which is full of good tips. Yes I agree, dear Bette Davis, "all this, and Heaven too".

Sunny Aerie in marvelous Old Antibes
Sunny Aerie in marvelous Old Antibes
This floor-through sunny spacious flat is sublimely located in the heart of Old Antibes steps away from the Riviera's most charming farmer's market and a three minute walk to a pleasingly protected beach with excellent swimming. The adjacent marina is remarkable and a great source of diverse and entertaining visitors. Surrounded by restaurants, with a bakery and wine store within 20 steps, this lovely abode is a ten minute walk away from trains for day trips to delightful nearby villages. Moreover, neighbors and shopkeepers are welcoming and helpful. The furnishings are sophisticated/ casual, an elegant contrast to the antique beams. The kitchen is generously stocked and the owner's support team is wonderful. We feel lucky to be able to return again for our fifth multi-week visit.

Our stay at this apartment was excellent. the property was well decorated, airy and comfortable. It had everything one would need for accommodations. the location was fabulous. It was centrally located in old Antibes. It is close to everything. the narrow streets, the proximity to shops and most especially the daily farmers market gives you the feel of daily life in Antibes. The city center is easy walking distance and there is a large variety of restaurants nearby. The local beach along the ramparts was less than a five minute walk. There is a bakery right near the entrance of the apartment, as well as butcher shops, cheese shops and the farmers market displays fresh fruits, vegetables, spices, meats and fish. The apartment itself was spacious, cool and comfortable. this combined with its location made our stay an excellent experience and I would gladly stay there again. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

Lovely apartment in Antibes
Lovely apartment in Antibes
We spent two weeks in this lovely three bedroom apartment in Antibes. Though it's advertised as a two bedroom apartment plus den, we used it as a three bedroom apartment and felt we had tons of space. The apartment was very clean and it was decorated in a very warm and personal manner with original art and pottery, mostly be local artists. The kitchen was very well appointed and made easy for us to cook for ourselves. The apartment is in an excellent location on a very charming, pedestrian-only street lined with all kinds of little shops, including an amazing cheese store (try the truffle cheese even though it's very pricey, it's UNBELIEVABLE), a butcher, a deli, more than one restaurant and more. And it's less than a block to the most beautiful, colourful outdoor farmer's market you could hope to find. The only downside to this is that the apartment can be a little noisy as tourists tend to stay up quite late and then the folks at the market start setting up shop at around 4:00 in the morning. This aside, I was very happy and comfortable in the apartment and I would definitely stay there again!

Manager response: Thank you for your lovely comments. We're thrilled you enjoyed your stay so much. Yes, the front (white) bedroom can be a bit noisy. Earplugs sort that out for us!
