Location: Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, USA (40 miles to Little Rock, 12 miles to Hot Springs)
Accommodations: House, 4 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 3 Baths (Sleeps 9-16)
Keywords: House
You will rarely find a house as nice as this for rent. This house sits on Lake Estrella, a small (25 acre) lake with 210 feet of lake frontage. At this time there are only a few other houses on the lake, so it is very quiet and has spectacular views. The house was designed with lots of large windows for an open and airy feel and to allow every opportunity to enjoy the magnificent views.
This "charming house on a lake in the woods" is our vacation home and is decorated like a REAL home not a rental property. The sheets are high quality as is the furniture and furnishings. We want you to have a lovely, comfortable vacation and hope that you will be respectful and appreciative of our home. It is a very nice place and we work hard to cultivate good feelings and happy times there.
The house has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It is set up to sleep nine comfortably. There is a California king in the master bedroom, there are queen beds in each of the other three bedrooms and one of the bedrooms has an additional twin bed. There is enough room in two of the bedrooms to sleep children on the floor in sleeping bags or on queen sized blow-up mattresses on the floor if you wish.
The living room has three large comfy couches. The great room, that incorporates the kitchen, will probably be where you spend most of your time. A 42-inch wide screen television with DVD/VCR and lots of comfortable seating in the great room (you can steal all the pillows off of the couches in the living room to set up an even comfier spot to watch movies on the floor). There are VCR equipped TVs in each of the bedrooms as well(master bedroom has DVD/VCR).
The great room television as well as two of the bedroom TVs are wired with Direct TV. There is a fairly extensive video collection (shelved in the den) for your use, as well as some best sellers if you prefer to curl up with a book.
The deck at the back of the house is 78 feet long (runs the entire length of the back of the house). There is a table and chairs so you may eat al fresco and lots of seating so you can sit out and enjoy the peaceful evenings. We also have a laundry room with a full size washer and dryer, iron and ironing board as well as a chest freezer if you prefer to bring all your own food and stay for a month.
The house is in beautiful Hot Springs Village, a gated community, with eight public golf courses and one private. The private course, Diamante, is only seconds away from the house, as are two of the Village's other golf courses. Two of the golf courses were ranked in the top 100 in the country by Golf Digest and five of them were in the top ten for the state of Arkansas. The house is within a few steps of the second on the Granada course. The greens fees are very reasonable.
The Village is also peppered with 11 lakes, some large enough for motorized boats and waterskiing. Others, like ours, are smaller and more intimate, good for fishing, swimming and small boats. There are pools within the village as well as public (free access) beaches. There are tennis courts and miles of walking and bicycling paths.
The village has all sorts of amenities including a workout facility, massages, theatre programs and festivals. There are frequently weekend garage sales and church sales for those of you looking to bargain hurt. For those of you who enjoy a nice drive there are all sorts of spectacular roads both inside and outside of the village. If you are interested in day tours, let us know and we can make some suggestions for some of the scenic routes that we've taken.
The house is easy to find. It is not yet visable on mapquest but can be brought up on google maps with a little finagling, I can email you a map to help you to get your bearings once you are confirmed. From the Village's East entrance, off of Route 5, it is just a short two mile drive in to the house. It is roughly 12 miles into the town of Hot Springs and a magnificent, scenic 12-mile ride from the town of Benton (Highway 30 and Route 5 - exit 117). Drive across the village and out the front gate (west) and the Ouachita National Forest is ten minutes away.
We have two rules which are NOT NEGOTIABLE. ABSOLUTELY NO PETS & NO SMOKING !

Two hard working individuals that someday hope to retire to a warmer climate.
Why the Owner Chose Hot Springs Village
We were invited down for a time share presentation in another area of the Village and found out during our stay that they had opened up another area for development. We loved the area and the people and the price was right. We have had fun investigating the surrounding roads and area and visiting Hot Springs spas and downtown shopping district. The people down there couldn't be nicer.
The Unique Benefits of this House
the perfect place to escape the cold winters of Chicago. We fell the house is warm and welcoming and we are able to go there to detox and de-stress and get away from the harsh realities of life in a big city. It is amazing to have a lake in your back yard that you can throw a kayak in or walk out and bob along on a floaty. The deck is our favorite room of the house and we love to hang out there to eat, read or watch the wildlife. With so few other houses we feel like it is our own lake.

We totally enjoyed your HSV Vista Lane home. Though my son-in-law and I have enjoyed staying there several times, my two cousins had not and were totally impressed with the property, situated on the quiet virtually private Lake Estrella, the comfort of the furnishings, and convenience to the majority of the golf courses.. Thank you for your attention to detail of the maintenance of the property adding to the enjoyment of our experience at HSV this year. We will return.

Three of my golfing buddies and I, along with our wives, returned last week from our semi- annual golf event in Hot Springs Village. We stayed again at our favorite house in the whole village (vrbo.com/117420). The golf is great, the fishing for the little bass is fun, and the comfort and roominess of the lodging for the wives, makes for a relaxing time. We always have a great time there and this time we stretched our usual 3 day trip into 5. Even the dramatic change in the weather (temp dropped about 30 degrees) didn't affect our great time. Thanks for the ease and professionalism in which you provide your house for others to enjoy. It feels like home away from home and we always make a new memory event.

A great house for time with family and friends! We had four couples get away for a three day weekend of golf and relaxation and had a blast. We plan to make this an annual event. Very easy rental process and owners are great to work with. Location is in the heart of most of the courses in HSV which was a plus and easy access to the east gate. We golfed all day and dined out late so we didn't have time to enjoy the huge deck and great views out to the lake. Next time!

Perfect House for a Golf Weekend

We chose this house because of it's proximity to the best golf courses in HSV. If you are looking for a house that is near Granada, Isabella, and Diamante then you can't go wrong with this one. It was the perfect place for relaxation after golf. Great deck area looking over the lake made for evening activities of grilling and playing cards. I would definitely stay here again for future golf weekends. This place was a great value for the amenities it offers. No complaints.
Owner response:Our proximity to Granada, Isabella and Diamonte is a big plus and we are glad that it worked out so well for all of you. We chose to make the Deck the "biggest room in the house" since we knew we would be spending so much time out there. We have found that nearly everyone who stays there feels the same way. When you are surrounded by such a beautiful natural setting it is rejuvenating to be able to sit out in it and relax. We are really glad that you had such a great time and would be delighted to have you guys stay for your next golf outing.

My family and I were so pleased when we arrived at the rental property, the homes layout is very spacious, the rooms are very well adorned with a very warm homey feeling. There are a ton of indoor activities the owner already has available, we brought board games and all the titles we brought she already had. They have an enormous movie library with all sort of things to choose from kids on up. The back porch is absolutely beautiful; it's huge and has plenty of seating. The kitchen is well stocked with all needed supplies. We will definitely look forward to staying there again in the future.
Owner response:We are delighted that you had a such great time with your whole family. In designing the house we tried to provide several different living space to allow for different groups to gather and visit/play. I am glad that you found it comfortable and that you found plenty to do there for everyone. It does our hearts good to know that we are able to help facilitate quality family time and foster great memories. We would be happy to welcome you back.

House was great on the inside, bad on the outside, and customer service was ridiculously horrible!!!

Our family stayed at this house for Labor Day weekend. The house is awesome on the inside and sits by a lake as described. The outside of the house was not kept up well at all. The lights outside were not working (since there were no lights leading the path to the lake it was dangerous at night). The landscaping was horrible. The worst part about the house was the owner's customer service. I e-mailed her prior to arriving to confirm that they had DirecTV as described on this website. Upon arrival, the main television did not work (important to our 5 children). Finally on the third day, it was fixed. Sounds like not a big deal. Probably not until you find out how we were treated when we called the owner. Her attitude was very nonchalant and rude. We asked her to compensate by ordering a pay-per-view football game, and she acted like we were asking for a free night or something. We did receive our deposit back (as we should), but there was no monetary compensation for not offering the home which is described on this website. Her rationale was that she had to send the housekeeper three times which cost her money. The money DirecTV reimbursed her for the outage was not very much; therefore, she would not reimburse us anything. We even got a letter that explained this all in great detail. She calculated how much it cost her. Not our problem. Offer the house that is described on VRBO The point I am trying to make is this: If you describe something for sale or rent, and you are in the business of customer service. You should treat your customers with respect and offer the product or service that you describe. When you don't offer that product or service as described or your customer is not happy with the product or service then you should do everything in your power to make that customer happy. The owner of this property did exactly the opposite. Rather than eating some of the cost of the rental or doing something as simple as ordering the pay-per-view game we wanted to watch she could have avoided this bad review. In response to the letter you sent us, I would like you to do a little more math. Imagine if one person who reads this does not rent your house. The money you will lose on a daily rental, weekly rental, monthly rental. A lot. Pretty powerful math for treating just one customer disrespectfully and having poor customer service. I'm there will be a reply. Readers take her reply with a grain of salt. Sure it will be good
Owner response:We have been renting out our home since 2004 and have had over 300 rentals. This is our first negative review. It was unfortunate that one of the Televisions was not working and we were all over it with Direct TV immediately. The House has 5 televisions and of the 3 that have Direct TV two were still working. There was also a video library of over 200 films available to watch. We were taken aback at the demands made for $200 in compensation and the request for Pay-per-view since we do not have it available on our televisions. Our Landscaping is a naturalized forest setting to save on expenses and to help keep the cost to the renters down. The border lighting is new this year and we have had trouble with it blowing the breaker, it will be redone when we get down in November. We are truly sorry that these people did not enjoy their vacation. We feel that we did our best to get the TV working again and they did have it for the last part of their stay. We really feel that we do our best to make sure our renters have a great vacation.

This is a beautiful home on a nice quiet lake. Probably one of the nicest homes we've rented on VRBO. The house was spotless, beds were comfortable, kitchen was amazingly well-stocked, and the common areas were great for family meals and games. This was our first visit to Hot Springs Village. Unfortunately, it was too hot for much golf, but we enjoyed HSV nonetheless. This home would be ideal for a fall golf getaway!

My family has been property owners in HSV since 1987 and use it as a week end retreat several times a year. Your home is by far the best place to stay in HSV that we have found. We have stayed there 3 or4 times and will back soon.
Owner response:Thank you Foyd! Delighted you all had a great time and that you liked the house. You were great renters and are welcome back any time!
