The area is world renown for it's fishing. Many catch their dinner directly off of the dock. Everglades City is the crabbing capitol of Florida. Blue crabs and world famous stone crabs are seasonably available at unbeatable prices. Many friendly and knowledgeable guides are close by, if that is your preference. Fishing, boating, picnicking, exploring and relaxing are the routines on Pleasure island. This is a unique unspoiled area on the edge of the Everglades that happens to be one of the best fishing spots in the USA.

For larger groups and family vacations two identical side by side
cottages are available .These are the closest,on the island, to the dock,ferry,and your boat should you bring it.
