Our lovely vacation home is ideally located between Islamorada and Key largo. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, master which includes a queen bed, french doors with oceanview and a bathroom featuring custom tile and granite vanity, the other bedroom has two twin beds (can be converted to King size) and a full bath. Spectacular Travertine tile throughout. Additionally there is a queen sofa bed in the living room. Custom cabinetry, granite countertops, dining table with room for 8 are just a few of the features our lovely kitchen offers. There are also breathtaking ocean views through french doors in the living room. The screened balcony is spacious with chairs and hammocks to enjoy the view. Downstairs is a large living area with tropical decor, a full kitchen and bathroom for ground floor convienience and for use during your daily activities. Lounge chairs, tables and a gas BBQ on the patio next to the pool. The pool area and patio is surrounded by coconut palms and landscaping giving it privacy and a tropical feel. There is a small sandy "beach" at one end of the pool.
There are 4-5 offstreet parking spaces and dockage for 2 boats and a fish cleaning station with running water. Our vacation home is beautifully appointed and has everything you will need to have a memorable stay including hi speed wireless internet, cable TV, DVD and games for the kids.
Close to Harry Harris Park for boat launching & swimming at the protected beach.
The house is conveniently located oceanside near restaurants, shops & grocery stores. Like to take a morning walk? Stroll through the quiet neighbohoods of quaint cottages just to the south.
Activities nearby include the family water park, diving tank & olympic pool at the Jacobs Aquatic Center. World-renowned diving/snorkeling trips, glass bottom boat rides, canoe rentals at Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. Theater of the Sea Adventure Park where you can swim with the dolphins and sea lions. Founders Park offers a fishing jetty and a beautiful swimming beach on the Gulf of Mexico. Feed the pelicans at the wild bird sanctuary. Offshore the patch reefs are 10 minutes from the dock and bluewater 15 minutes. World class bonefishing & back country fishing via Tavernier creek 1/2 mile south.

Why the Owner Chose Tavernier
I've been diving and fishing in this area since the 60's, it is the best location for proximity to oceanside reefs,lobstering and fishing(back country and offshore), sand bars and beaches. Being close to shopping, grocery store and fuel along with being on a very private street helped us make the decision to purchase this house. Making this house available for vacation rental, due to it's great location, was also considered in our decision. Attractions, parks, etc are close by for vacationers that are not water sports enthusiasts.
The Unique Benefits at this Single Family Home
Early morning coffee on the balcony as the sun rises, lounging on the patio by the pool, barbequeing in the evening with the family and friends. The boat is right there in the backyard ready to go, no long walks out to the dock here!

Our family is from South Florida. Cyndi is a former professional horse trainer and Tom is a Vetrerinarian. We have three children, our boys are into water sports and motocross racing, our daughter loves horse showing and is trained by Cyndi.
