This spacious, luxury home, built in 2003, offers an open, welcoming floor plan in the common areas yet plenty of privacy in the sleeping quarters. For beach lovers, a two minute walk down the access path over the dunes takes you to the ocean across the street. For pool lovers, relax in your own private pool with spa or rest under the palm trees with a good book.
The large kitchen with 2 refrigerators, separate ice maker, wine refrigerator, and large pantry easily accommodates multiple cooks and helpers preparing meals to be served at the big family table. The outdoor kitchen in the pool area makes barbecueing easy and fun. The spacious great room provides plenty of seating for gathering friends and family while the library/media room provides a calm refuge for curling up with a good book from a diverse selection offered or for watching a movie on the large flat screen television. The screened porch is a great place to end the afternoon with a cool drink watching the kids play in the pool while the sun sets. Huge windows everywhere in the home bring in lots of light and provide beautiful vistas for all.
The entire house and outdoor entertaining areas are all oriented toward the ocean to maximize ocean breezes and views. The kitchen, dining area and great room flow to the screened porch which overlooks the pool. That means those on kitchen duty can still be part of 'the action' while preparing meals.
Five of the six bedrooms are located on the second floor, including both Master Suites. All have at least some view of the ocean and there is a lovely covered deck off the 2nd floor hallway which is great for early morning coffee and watching the ships come and go from the harbor. There is a large bedroom on the main floor with private bath which is perfect for older children who may be out later in the evening or for older couples for whom stairs may be difficult. Each bedroom has its own television plus there is a large screen tv in the media room and another television in the great room. There is also wireless internet service for those who need to do a little work while on vacation.
There are several good restaurants and local pubs within walking distance and excellent shopping and a movie theater 10 minutes away. The Isle of Palms marina offers fishing charters, boat rentals, jet skis, parasailing and barrier island tours for the adventurous. The two Tom Fazio designed golf courses at Wild Dunes are available for your use and are just 5 minutes away.

Dear Linda, I apologize for not getting back to you sooner! Your home is absolutely beautiful and we had a wonderful week! What a blessing it was for all of us to be together! The weather was perfect, and we just had a sweet time being together and doing projects for the wedding. My parents and in-laws are all in their 70's so we were so grateful for this time together. My daughter's wedding was absolutely perfect, thank you so much for your note, champagne and now your sweet email. I truly hope we can all spend another week there together sometime. Thanks so much for reaching out. The house was fantastic! The Weather not so much. It rained the entire time so we never even had a chance to take the pool cover off. We did go into Charleston twice and had a lovely time. We also lounged in the house which was perfect and comfy. Hi Linda, Thank you for your email! We had a wonderful time, and the house was perfect for our needs! We had a total of 15 including a one and three year old whose parents brought little beds for them. The breakdown was 9 adults and 6 kids. The children especially enjoyed the pool and while we had some issues (the cover needed a repair and the heating element for the spa pool wasn't working), the company was very responsive and the heat was finally working by Friday evening. We probably didn't report that until mid week. Also, Erin allowed us to start moving in supplies around noon so that was very helpful. We were making several trips from our house to yours and wanted to be as prepared as possible when the first family arrived around 5. We try to get together like this about every two years, though it had been three since we last gathered all in one house. At any rate, everyone agreed the house suited our needs perfectly. We especially used the large table for games as well as meals! The media room was enjoyed as well. Our 16 year old granddaughter enjoyed trying to sunbathe on the top level porch, though the week was a little chilly and windy. It might take me a few more days to recover from the cooking and constant activity but the memories are all good ones. Dear Linda, Thank you for your e-mail. Our group had a great time. Your home is beautiful and was perfectly sized for our needs. The weather was sucky (rain all day Friday and Sat) so we weren't able to use the pool or the outside patio. That said, for a retreat, the bad weather made it much easier to be happy inside... and not at the beach. Thank you again for every thing.
