These two 1930's traditional French Window beach cottages come with a private beach right out front. The homes have been remodeled and re decorated in a fun theme but have maintained the original charm. Lots of red colors and knotty pine. This is one of only a few cottage on Birch Bay Drive available as a vacation rental with a private beach and parking for 8 cars.
It is most often enjoyed by two families vacationing together who also want private space.
The front home, Shady Nook is a one bedroom (captians built in under bed dresser drawers), The rear guest house, Sleepy Hollow, is a smaller one bedroom and both homes also have new Ikea drop out sleepers in the their living rooms, plus the front home has a set of antique bunk beds and a set of flip off wall children's cot bunks and it even comes with a pop up back yard dome tent. And and 8 foot pram boat which may or may not have oars. Some guests have parked an RV to the side of the front lawn.
What makes this place so enjoyable is the 100+ feet of deck that begins 30 feet in the front and wraps around the side walkway to the courtyard sunning dining area with an apple tree growing in the middle of it and the deck connects to the guest house, Sleepy Hollow.
Many families including our own have spent many wonderful days and evening dinning on the courtyard deck having fun and relaxing together there. Don't miss it.
