Okay! You’ve just been assigned the task of finding a place for your family to vacation. You break out in a cold sweat, and get a huge knot in the pit of your stomach, because you think it will take forever to find something for everyone! Activities for children, activities for teenagers, activities for adults, one person wants a pool, one wants the ocean, etc!.. you get the point!

"Sweet Dreams" is a gorgeous new Florida dream home, with 4 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, and a cozy carriage house! The best part is that it is located in the controlled access community of Dune Ridge at WaterSound Beach! This house is only one lot away from the beach, and has a panoramic view from the Cupola that will leave you speechless!

This beach home is designed by Dungen Nequette Architects with top-of-the-line features throughout including Heart of Pine hardwood floors, Travertine tile in the bathrooms, stunning Stucco/sea shell interior and exterior fireplaces, and Wet Bars on both the 2nd and 4th floors. The staircase is supported by natural, multi-floor tree beams, which make this house truly unique. The Cupola is a great place to have a glass of wine, or a drink, and enjoy the kaleidoscope of colors bouncing off the water as the sun slips slowly out to sea.

As you can see below the rooms are warm and inviting! There are coffee makers in the kitchen, second floor living room, and in the carriage house. In addition to the sub-zero refrigerator in the kitchen, there are three additional bar refrigerators - one in the second floor living area, one in the Carriage House, and one in the Cupola. The decks are all equipped with plenty of seating for sunset watching, book reading, or just some good conversation about the day’s adventures.

The kitchen is fully stocked with state-of-the art Wolfe appliances, casual china, stemware, stainless service for 12, and all the pots and pans necessary to prepare the perfect meal. The kitchen flows into the dining area and is the perfect place for family meals or conversations about all the fun and exciting experiences of the day. A portable crib and high chair/booster seat are also provided for your convenience.

The main living room has a queen size sleeper sofa, a 60” plasma television, DVD player, and plenty of connections for children’s games. Wireless internet is also provided for the tweens and teens who can’t stay off “My Space”! The second floor living room also has a queen size sleeper sofa, a 38” LCD television, DVD player, video connections, board games, and a game table for hours of Monopoly or Go Fish!

The main floor master suite has a king size bed, a 38” LCD television, and a cozy deck with Adirondack chairs for two waiting right outside. The second floor master suite also has a king size bed, a 38” LCD television, and a private deck with Adirondack pub chairs and a pub table which is another perfect place to sit and watch a beautiful sunset!

The Carriage House, while apart from the main house, it doesn’t have a separate entrance from the street, which makes it the perfect hideaway for teens, or grandparents who need their own space. It has a small cook-top, refrigerator, and table for two, which makes it the perfect place for a cozy breakfast. There is a queen size bed and a sitting area with a 20” LCD television and DVD player, and a bathroom with a full-size tub and shower.

The “Bunk Room” has a twin over full bunk – just in case you have an “all adult” trip planned so you don’t have to draw straws to see what couple has to sleep in separate beds! There is private access to the hall bath from the bunk room.

The Cupola…well…it’s just something you have to see to believe! There is seating inside, as well as pub chairs on the deck – perfect for morning coffee and a sunrise, or cocktails and a sunset.

WaterSound has a serene coastal environment, stunning Gulf views, direct access to the beach boardwalk from the house, beautiful parks, swimming pools, and quiet nature preserve areas for that valuable peace of mind.

There are plenty of activities for the children and teens, including putt-putt, biking, kayaking, swimming, and of course, playing in the sand. Shopping and fine dining are located within a short driving distance. Please come enjoy our home for a most memorable vacation.

  • The house is in the Watersound community near Rosemary Beach. This is a beautiful new development by the same folks who created Watercolors. The house across the street was still under construction at the time we stayed there, but that's to be expected in a new community and it should be completed in a few months. Between the panoramic views from the cupola, the expansive bedrooms, the spacious great room, I can't say enough nice things about the house. It really is a destination getaway for those not interested in crowds. There's about a 150 yard walk across beautiful sand dunes to get to the white sands beach, and the community pool is only 1 block away. We'll definitely be back!

  • Wow, what a Great house! We rented this house at the beginning of June '07. It was more than I expected. Everything was 1st class. The guest house was a perfect place for my young teenager and his friend. They couldn't sneak out the house. They had a blast riding bikes and their wave- boards on the boardwalks leading to the beach. The pools were great. Where this house is located is perfect for the beach, pool, and view of the beach. I will rent this house again. My kids loved it and so did all the friends we were with. Thanks to Sharon for making everything easy and special.
