This beautiful, luxury log home is located right on Steamboat Mountain!! Here at the "Burgess Creek Chalet," you can enjoy one of the most sought after locations in all of Steamboat Springs, Colorado!!!

Although the Chalet is just minutes from the "historic" town of Steamboat Springs and the Mountain Village. We offer an on-call shuttle service that may be taken directly to the Thunderhead High Speed Quad Chairlift (Thunderhead is just a few minute walk from the "Chalet"), the Gondola or even to the grocery store.

Our home is tastefully decorated with custom log furniture throughout. We pride ourselves on providing a first class experience and offer amenities such as: Bathrobes for each of our guests, Brand new ski rental and demo equipment which are brought "straight-to-you" and fitted at the "Chalet", a chef and or catering services are also available upon request.

Both levels offer master suites with attached bathrooms and custom log beds handcrafted locally. Each of the 4 bedrooms have their own private full bathrooms offering privacy and space. Unparalleled features include 18 foot ceilings, oversized soaking tub and breathtaking views of Mt. Werner. The loft, has a custom entertainment center, for your multi-media enjoyment and large wrap-around leather couch. The lower level is also inviting with its expansive 9' ceilings and open floor plan. There is an additional entertainment center along with comfortable furnishings which include a pull-out leather couch, gas range and a beautiful Aspen log granite island.

With vaulted ceilings throughout, a wrap around deck with deluxe gas BBQ and private hot tub, this home not only offers lavish features, but even more, is an inviting and comfortable home away from home to share with friends and family.

The hot tub on the deck is the perfect way to unwind while watching the sunset.

VRBO Bear stayed here - 08/10/2007 Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful - We loved our stay at the Burgess Creek Chalet in Steamboat, CO. There are gorgeous views of the mountains here to behold. The chalet is nestled into the mountainside.

It was an amazingly large wrap around deck where we spent our summer evenings taking in breathtaking views, watching wildlife, or enjoying the hot tub. The home is in a great location: five minutes to the mountain base for skiing or to nearby restaurants and ten minutes to downtown Steamboat, while still feeling secluded.

The home has windows that make you feel as if you are outside enjoying the view. There are two master bedrooms with comfy king-size beds and bathrooms, two additional bedrooms with queen-size beds as well as a futon in the lower level, and a pull out in the loft and in the living room, for a total of four bedrooms and four bathrooms.

There is a main kitchen upstairs fully stocked with whatever you will need. There is also a kitchen and family area in the lower level of the house. The home has a cozy fireplace, games and movies for cold winter nights.

The owners took great care to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay here, which we thoroughly did. I hope to visit again!

  • Our large family so enjoyed our stay. The home was well-appointed and cozy comfy. The Christmas Tree added sucha festive spirit. We appreciated the two kitchens as we served not only our family but two others who were staying elsewhere on two different nights. Our grown children enjoyed the hot tub as well as the downstairs area after hours when we old folks headed to bed. The shuttle was great to get us to the lifts or to the accomodations of our friends. I know that Stefan did not order this especially for us but we so enjoyed the call of the coyotes and the yips of their pups. In the morning we awoke to see the prints all over the front lawn. Stefan and Eve were so easy to work with and had everything ready for our arrival. we will definitely stay with them again. Call if you have any questions.

  • We rented this log house from Stefan for our yearly ski trip to Steamboat (3 families with infants). This house was great for our vacation. The views from the hot tub were great, the deck was super (after removing the 2 feet of powder that dumped the night we got there, oh yea!!). Easy access to the slopes by walking or by shuttle. We could not have been happier with this property. This is an easy choice for anyone looking for a place to stay in Steamboat. We will certainly be knocking on Stefans the next time we head to Steamboat. I would love to see this place in the summer.

  • The house was well-equipped and very comfortable. The shuttle service also worked great. All the drivers knew the house with the blue skis in the front! Fortunately the house was warm since the outstide temperatures never got above zero!

  • Our combined families of 12 stayed at Stefan's home the week prior to Christmas. It was perfect for all --- beautiful, comfortable, and close to the slopes. Stefan and John even helped with special arrangements prior to our Sunday arrival. We'll be back!

    For the past 2 summers, we have rented Stefan's beautiful chalet in Steamboat Springs for the entire month of August. Stefan has been a terrific "landlord" and could not have been more accomodating. The Burgess Creek Chalet quickly became our "home" and we loved every minute of our Steamboat experience. From the hot tub to grilling out and dining in the mountains on the wonderful decks, Colorado's beauty surrounds you. If we weren't in the middle of a move, we'd be back to our "home away from home".
