A waterfront cottage in Thousand Islands Park, with an outstanding view of the River from two fabulous porches. See almost to Lake Ontario and watch the ships go by. You can almost touch them. Swimming cover outside the front door with a sandy area for the children. Nice family oriented community with summer activities. Small grocery, ice cream parlour, restaurants, and some shops.
You will spend all your time on one of the two screened in porches. The one downstairs is very large and the upstairs porch is smaller and very nice for reading and having your coffee. NIce breeze off the river. The living area is huge and there is a large rear yard with BBQ and table. There are beds for seven, but there is a double futon in the large living room and room for portacribs.
The cottage does not have a dock, but dock space is available for rent at other sites in the park.
Parking is in back of the cottage.

Why the Owner Chose Thousand Island Park
I fell in love with the river the first time I saw it. The community of Thousand Island Park is a lovely little village with lots of Victorian charm.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
It doesn't get much better than sitting in a rocker on the porch, reading a book and seeing an occasional freighter go by. The weather is great most of the time with blue skies and puffy clouds. Even when it's hot, there is a good breeze on the porches. If I say so myself, the views don't get any better than the ones from my porches.

We chose the Thousand Island Park along with this vacation rental as a last resort because my husband is on chemotherapy. So, he cannot fly nor be around large crowds. Little did we know this would be the beginning of a yearly family tradition as a result of experiencing the wonderful beauty of the Thousand Islands. This cottage was THE best. Homey, cozy, kitschy, and practically laid out with large rooms and a fantastic cottage decor. Everywhere we looked there was a detail the owner had personalized such as fishing lure ceiling fan pulls, her own artwork on the walls, handmade tile mosaics, and a well stocked library including literature on the Thousand Islands. This cottage is ideal for families with school age children as it is very close to the swimming cove. We watched not only a river otter and blue heron from the screened in porches, but also gigantic shipping freighters. The water is so clear I named the area "the Caribbean of New York". I think the interior photos of this cottage do not do it justice, much cuter in person. The only reason I would hesitate to recommend this property to anyone would be that it might make it more difficult for us to reserve in future years. We plan on staying for two weeks next year and we already have a beautiful summer home on a river!!!
