Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit our listing. We tried to create a home away from home for you in lovely Waikiki.
This unit is on the south east corner of the 14th floor (Tower I). Corner units are larger (10%) than middle units in the Banyan. The kitchen is separate from the living area allowing a larger dining space.
The Waikiki Banyan is located at the east end of Waikiki. It is within walking distance of most the attractions in this area.
If you decide to rent a car, we provide free covered parking.
The kitchen has pots, pans, utensils, and a complete set of dishes, everything you will need and more, except for food of course.
In addition to the items listed in the rental features section below, we have provided the following: Iron and board, hair dryer, small cooler, boogie boards, snorkel set, beach chairs, mats, beach towels, pool toys for the kids, tennis rackets. We have tried to alleviate some of the packing you will have to do.
The recreation deck provides activities for the whole family. You can BBQ on one of the many gas grills provided, play tennis, soak in the Jacuzzi or just go for a dip in the pool. There is a practice putting green and much more. The whole facility was recently renovated and has a resort atmosphere.

If you already know you want to stay at the Waikiki Banyan, we liked this unit a lot. It is low enough that you can look out the Lanai and see your friends in the pool or hot tub, but high enough to be able to overlook the city and ocean. It's at the end of the hall, which I liked - being a corner unit gives views out two directions (the kitchen window is smallish but hey, you can see the ocean!) The trash chute and laundry is right next to this unit so easy access to those, and you have the laundry next to you instead of a neighbor. The TV just seemed normal, but did not turn it on more than a few minutes, but it was not huge and was not a Smart TV (maybe it was, I didn't really check it out much). The pool and hot tub closes at 9PM, which is annoying, often we did not get back till about then leaving minimal time to enjoy, but that is for the whole building so oh well. Double check that the pool will be open, we saw notices of upcoming pool closure for repairs, but it was open for our stay. Pool/hot tub access is super convenient. Take elevator to floor 6 and it opens right to it. Parking spaces are a bit tight, but our rental car did not get any scratches during our one week stay. You get a parking pass and then park wherever you like in the garage. They have a scale at the lobby to weigh your bags when getting ready to fly home. The other reviewers who said the bathroom door is falling off it's slider are right. We just got used to it. The bathroom door does not really close because of this, but it opens to the sink and mirror area so it's not really a big deal. The bottom shelf in the fridge is sagging, so it is still usable but we mostly used the upper shelves. Kokoresorts (floor 5) gave us an extra air mattress bed. You just plug it into the wall and it inflates/deflates very quickly. Overall we like staying at the Waikiki Banyan and we liked this unit for the above reasons. We have not tried or seen other units here to compare with, so next time we go we may try getting this unit again or we might feel adventurous and try a different unit. If you do stay at this unit we donated a hot air popcorn popper to the collection of kitchen goodies. The location was nice we were in walking sitance to beach and some restaurants. The photos make the place seem larger than it actually is it is rather small crammed with a lot of furniture. The condo was clean but was dated and had cracks on the ceilings and walls and the bathroom slider door kept coming off track. The amenities listed were not provided we asked if there was a pack n play for a young one and we were told yes but there was not so we called and had to wait for about an hour to get one delivered. Also there is not any pool toys or toys for the kids no boogie boards, snorkel set or tennis rackets like it says and there was just one beach chair that was all. Overall I was not too impressed one of the beds was like sleeping on a rock and the futon was not much more comfortable. There was no paperwork when we arrived with information about how to get towels, wifi password, trash chute nothing we had to figure it out on our own which was dissapointing we played phone tag for a bit to trying to get a wifi password. There was also not even a guest book which we look forward to reading to fnd recommended places to go see and places to eat at. Overall we enjoyed our time in Waikiki but wish we had found a place with a little more space a better view and comfortable bed and not as much street noise throughout the night all you heard was sirens and phones ringing. The parking pass, price and location was the only perk I found about this condo. Oh and not to mention it's been a month and we still have not gotten our security deposit back!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: I am very sorry to hear of this experience. It was unfortunate that as the owner I moved out of state and hired a property management company. In the transition, it seems a few of the normal amenities were not in the condo as they usually are for the guests. I have since spoken to the cleaners and this experience helped us to improve. I have had many happy guests stay at the condo and we do respond to any issues that arise. We have now made sure all the items are in the condo for the guests. It is located in a storage locker for your convenience. We do have free high speed internet provided for our guests and will start giving that password out prior to check in to prevent this in the future.

After several trips to Waikiki and staying in hotels and other condos, we finally found the place that we plan to make our home on future stays on Oahu. Located on the eastern end of Waikiki just a couple of blocks from the beach and the Honolulu Zoo, we think of this section as the quite side of Waikiki. If you are accustomed to staying in hotels with maid service every day, then a condo rental is probably not for you. But if you are looking for a place to feel at home and comfortable in the surroundings, then you should give this unit a visit. We stayed there for 1-1/2 weeks and it was almost like being at home. The furnishings are nothing fancy, but are entirely adequate. Cable TV and Internet service were a plus. Having a kitchen and refrigerator can sure save $$$ on meals. If you have never been to Waikiki before, you will be in shock at what you have to pay per day for parking at the hotels-$25 per day and more. This condo rental includes free parking in the Waikiki Banyan parking deck. We spent a lot of time out and about in a rental car and it was great to have the free parking and not have to worry with a valet.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

it was just ok from the deck you look over the pool. with views of adjacent condo buildings, out small kitchen window u see a little view of the ocean. It was pretty loud all the sounds of the street and emergency vehicles. I guess good for the price,Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, families with young children.

We totally enjoyed our staying at this place for 6 nights in April 2011. First of all, the owner is very responsive in answering any questions via phone and email. The place is also conveniently located for walking to the Waikiki beach and restaurants on Kapahulu Ave. The room is clean and can fit up to 6 people. There are also supplies for cooking and toys for kids to play with in the water. We also felt safe parking the rental car in the attached garage. We would recommend it to our friends and family.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Everything that the listing said about this rental was very accurate if not a little humble. The unit has everything you will need for a very comfortable stay. Right from the box of island candy and coffee, that was complimentary and left for us to enjoy, to the free parking in the parking garage. The owner even had left a GPS for us to use while we traveled the island. "It sure did come in handy". It is a very clean and well maintained unit. The views are awesome, from all windows and the lani. Within walking distance to everything and the beach is 1 block away. The owner was very accomodating and nice to deal with. I will definately book with this owner next time i have the chance to visit beautiful OAHU. Stayed at this property for about a week and was absolutely perfect. I expected a lot from the owners description and it exceded those expectations. Everything you can think of you might need during your stay, the owner has already supplied in the condo. All the amenities around Waikik where within a short walking distant and was a lot closer to the property than i expected. Any questions or concerns prior to checking in where answered immediately by the owner, which gave me peace of mind knowing this owner wanted you to be satisfied choosing this property. Will definitely stay again. Hopefully i can get a confirmation soon on the dates for a wedding before the property books up in June. Was everything owner described. Great location, close to beach. Full kitchen ammenities. Stayed for two weeks, and would definaltly rent this property again. Pool, hot tub, in a nice building. Owner was easy to work with on rental accomodations.
