Unit 4 is perched amongst a canopy of oak and birch trees - you can stand on the balcony, reach out, and touch leaves and branches nearly 3-stories from the ground! Unit 4 is one of eight condominiums in a building nestled within a mature birch/oak forest with views over the Lake Wisconsin valley. Casual, whimsical, bright furnishing. Italian ceramic floor in bath and kitchen. Woodburning stove insert in the original, beautiful, stone fireplace. Lovely, new, oiled-teakwood laminate floors LR and Hall - carpeted bedrooms.
Lots of wildlife - deer, turkey, raccoon, owl, and birds of all sorts fly over or walk through these remarkable surrounds. Marvelous earthrise and earthsets. I think the trees up here talk.
Parfrey's Glen official entrance is a 20-minute walk away. Devil's Lake is a 10-minute ride. Devil's Head Ski/Golf Resort is 200 yards down Bluff Road. Quaint Merrimac FREE ferry (seasonal). Cascade Mountain Ski/Snowboarding is a 20-minute ride. Wollersheim Winery in Sauk City is a 20-minute ride. Attraction notebook available in unit.
Plenty of QUIET. Noise restriction after 11p. You could write your book here! Remarkable views. Friendly condo neighbors.

Why the Owner Chose Merrimac
How could I NOT have fallen in love with this place!? (I didn't mean to...it was a first project for me/my brother.) Although not a skiier or golfer, I AM a walker and I just step out the door and I'm nearly in the woods...AND from the balcony I can touch the nearby oak tree high, high up. Only squirrels or cranes get a better view.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
Peace - to watch the trees 'converse' with each other - the neverending changes framed by each window to the forest - the very occasional concert (Los Lobos a several several years ago) or fireworks from Devil's Head Resort on New Year's Eve - sitting around the firepit on a summer or fall evening - the water from a quartzite well in the basement (it bypasses the water softening system otherwise required for the building) - staying up the nights male owls joust in the air above our parking lot (I always think of the Quiddich field from Harry Potter.

My best friend (of 50+ years!) and I meet for one weekend a year to catch up -- we stayed in this great condo this year!! It fit all of our needs perfectly -- plenty of wood for an ongoing fire, TV to watch a couple of movies, free wifi, stocked kitchen for simple meals, and super beds for a great night's sleep! We hope to travel back there again... for a longer stay! Lesleigh was also a wonderful hostess... answered all our questions! (oh, you do need to walk up two flights of steps to her condo... just an FYI if that could pose a problem...)

What a beautiful and relaxing place. Very comfortable accomodations. My friends and I arrived late on a Friday night to a warm inviting fire in the fireplace that Lesleigh was kind enough to prepare for us. Really close and convenient to Devil's Head Ski Resort. A few friends and I drove up from Chicago for a short ski getaway. We were thrilled to be welcomed into such a comfy and cozy home. The condo was stocked with everything we could possibly need or want. Lesleigh was kind and welcoming and even made sure that we were fed when we arrived late after getting caught in a snowstorm. The home is beautifully decorated to match the beautiful scenery outside and even our dogs were welcomed with love. Rocky Glen is a great place to stay for skiing or for a simple getaway.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, pet owners, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

A very comfortable home in a quiet, beautiful part of the Baraboo Bluffs. The natural wonder of God's creation at the door step of this "condo". Our ten days were far too short in this spot.

We had a great time at the condo in Baraboo over Memorial Day weekend! It was beautiful and relaxing and everything we hoped it would be. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is taking a trip in the Dells area.

We had a spur of the moment getaway at this condo. It was truly an amazing and relaxing experience, exactly what we had needed. The nature, serenity, and Lesleigh's beautiful condo, we had felt so completly comfortable here and a little hard to have to leave! We would recomend her condo's to everyone who feels that need to wind down, thanks Lesleigh!!!

This amazing building is 3 stories high in total, but only 2 stories high in any one place. There are 4 bays consisting of two condos, one atop another. Each bay juts out and/or into the bluff and forest. Wonderful design!...and it is a wonderful healing place. We hope you enjoy sharing the magic up here.
