Wow! Vacation homes like this don't come around very often. The Lady Slipper Lodge is located in the heart of the Chippewa National Forest in north cental Minnesota just 3 1/2 hours north of the Twin Cities. It offers privacy and serenity on a 30-acre woodsy point between a 54' deep 80-acre lake and a 25' deep 60-acre lake. The Lodge is just 90' from the the lakes on both sides of the point and there is a lake view out of every window.
The Lodge is the only home on one of the two lakes and it shares the other lake with only one other lake home. All the rest of the land all around both lakes is National Park, state or county land.

Other Amenities
If you like peace and quiet, this is the place for you. You will be more than a mile from the nearest tar road at the end of a 1/2- mile driveway where nearly the only sounds you will hear will be those of nature. You may see another boat on the lake because there is a public access and it is a great fishing lake for sunnies, crappies, bass and northern. However, during the week, there is a good chance that you won't see another person at all.
The Lodge was built in 1996. It has 23' high vaulted ceilings in the great room and an open foor plan so people in the kitchen can still be part of the festivities. The walls in the great room are knotty pine for that "up north" atmosphere and the walls of the 3-season porch are a wonderful aromatic cedar.
The Lodge is a 2-story walkout with a deck on 2 sides. The upper level is the main living area with 2 bedrooms with queen-sized beds and walk-in closets. The lower level also has 2 bedrooms with queens.
Suitability
Pet Friendly: Well-trained and well-behaved dogs are welcome in the Lodge but we ask our guests to clean up after their dogs and to be very careful not to let their dogs in the Lodge if they are dirty or wet. Sorry, no cats.
We and our other guests will be grateful if you will make sure to remove any dog piles from the yard before you leave.
Kid Friendly: What child wouldn't love to romp over the 30 acres of trails, swim in the lake or play in the tree fort.
