The Villages is one of the premier, gated, adult communities in sunny Florida. It has been highlighted on National TV during major golf tournaments, and in magazines such as Reader's Digest, AARP, etc. There are so many activities (500 per week) that you can find almost anything to your liking. If you just want to relax, the community has lakes, many beautiful vistas, nature preserves, and walking paths. If you want to go to the beach it is only about an hour to Daytona Beach and 1.3 hours to Clearwater. Go to the beach in the morning and come back in the evening. Disney World is only 1.2 hours away... Go yourself or take the grandkids.
The location of our rental home is particularly advantageous because of its proximity to golf courses, practice greens, tennis clubs, recreation centers, country clubs, and shopping. The Mulberry Grove shopping center with a grocery store, restaurants, and department stores is not far away. All these can be visited with the included custom Golf Car. There are golf cart paths throughout the Villages that allow your to travel by this means if you should choose.
Also, if you are a Veteran, there is a brand new 99,000 square foot Veterans clinic approximately 1.9 miles away.

There is every cuisine imaginable at or near the Villages. There is Italian, Greek, Thai, Chinese, etc. There is also casual or fine dining at any of the nine Country Clubs onsite. There are 15 heated pools, 40 recreation centers, 29 nine-hole executive and 9 championship golf courses, two 32 lane bowling centers, 9 softball fields,12 fishing lakes, two polo fields, a Regional Hospital, a large VA Veterans Clinic and Villages own radio & TV stations. Over 500 scheduled activities per week including sports, crafts, clubs, music, lessons, fittnes, etc. The house comes with FREE use of a custom, four-seat, night drivable, all weather, gasoline powered, Yamaha golf car. I am a retired engineer and my wife Lisa is still working in the child medical health area. I am an avid tennis player, pickleball player, and play a little golf. My wife is an avid reader who also enjoys needlepoint and hiking.
Why the Owner Chose Chatham
We like the weather and the friendliness of the The Villages. We also enjoy the many activities available and the many fine ethnic and american restaurants. The Nancy Lopez Country Club/Restaurant/Lounge nearby has the best food in the Villages. The lounge often has live entertainment such as a keyboard player and guitarist. Great music!
The Unique Benefits of this House
We play golf on best Executive course(Amberwood), tennis, pickleball, walk on the only walking path in Villages, play cards, and go to the town squares in the evenings where we listening to the live music and go dancing under the stars. We also enjoy the many wonderful restaurants in the area, some with an ethnic flare.
