This was our first time at Gulf Shores.... and were lucky to find such a nice place to stay. The views were fantastic and the condo was clean and well kept. The balcony was wonderful. We loved the idea that each bedroom had a private bath. The beaches were beautiful. Thanks Brett for helping to make our vacation so perfect..... we would love to return!

This was our first time at the Freebird and it was great. Brett was easy to work with and the condo was outstanding. We all fell in love with the beach and view and hated to leave. After a week, we left and went to Orlando but we wished that we'd stayed the extra week at the Freebird. It was our first time in Gulf Shores and we couldn't believe how we lucked out picking this location. It was centrally located and close enough to highway 59 (north towards Foley) so that you had easy access to many different restaurants and stores. There was so much to see and do; even over Christmas week. We have 2 girls, 8 & 12, and we took them to see the USS Alabama, Fort Morgan, and the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensecola and they loved it all. Overall it was a great stay and I would definitely recommend it.

My family and I went to Gulf Shores and stayed at the Freebird the week of my wedding. My husband and I fell in love with this place and so did our children! Brett is amazing and is very helpful with everything! I HIGHLY recommend this condo for any vacation! :)

The condo was clean & ready for us even though we arrived early. Brett is very easy to work with & extremely helpful. The beach is fantastic & everyone was very nice! We had a great time & really enjoyed our family time!!

Another GREAT vacation at the Freebird!

This was our second stay at the Freebird. We had a great time. Even on the rainy days we enjoyed the balcony and the views! We saw dolphins, stingrays and scates in the water in front of the condo. We had a light show one night in the eastern sky when a storm out in the water produced incredible lightening. There is always something to see - because the views are great from both balconies. Thank you Brett and family for another incredible beach experience. We really enjoy the Freebird!

AWESOME VACATION @ The FreeBird

Brett was great to work with as far as getting our time set up.. My mother in law was with us and sat on the balcony every morning enjoying the view, all of us enjoyed the beds in The FreeBird they were so comfortable, I was pleased with all the kitchen and all the utensils so we were able to cook most of our own meals, and our kids 17, 10, & 4 were able to enjoy their home away from home.... We were able to watch the dolphins playing each morning about 5:30am-6am, I could keep up with the wife and kids on the beach, and again the view was so AWESOME..... Thanks Brett for sharing the FreeBird with us....

We chose The Freebird for our 2012 family vacation and it was the BEST decision we could have made! Not only is Brett the most caring & helpful owner we've ever dealt with The Freebird was beautiful, the view is breathtaking & the building was quite and family oriented. Picture do NOT justify this 'home away from home'!! Our youngest son is 2 and this was his 1st beach trip and I'm very happy to say he loved it and we will be returning next year!! Even he felt at home! He slept well in the twin bed and our oldest son said he could live there. :-) The Old World Pizza is the BEST pizza we've ever had!! MUST eat there! Desotos Seafood was amazing as well. Go early for both places. Also, check out the Zoo and run over to Pensacola to the aviation museum! it's just right down the road!!! Thank you, Brett, for helping to make our vacation wonderful!

I was needing a place to stay while my mother went for her cancer check up, I emailed about the property and Brett responded very quickly and with these pictures what girl could say no, right? It even gets better how easy he was to work with and when I arrived it was so comfortable there! I needed a place to relax and this was the perfect place! I lived in Gulf Shores years ago so knew most everything about it, I didn't realize something so beautiful could come through the windows, it is the best view on the gulf in my opinion. If you are debating between places to stay STOP and rent this beauty, you will not regret it ! Brett, I really appreciate how easy you were to work with and would not even question where I will stay on my next visit there! This could not have been a better visit and got great news about my mother too! Thank you again and you own a real diamond there! I could never say thank you enough !

This condo is a great place to stay. The view was amazing. We would sit on the balcony in the mornings and watch the dolphins. Everything was just as it was pictured and it was very clean. Thanks to Brett for working with us and letting us enjoy their beachfront home.

My husband, mother and dad, and I went to Gulf Shores in mid-July 2011. We found this condo info on VRBO and feel in love with it sight unseen! We started working with Brett to finalize our plans. Brett was so easy to work with and when we arrived at the beach, everything was just as beautiful as the property description indicates...maybe even more! The views from this unit are spectacular! We even caught a twister on camera over in the State Park from our balcony! There are stunning views on both sides of the condo, and of course, we had several dolphin sightings while we were there. We loved the Keyless entry...but I hesitate to rave too much, because we don't want this unit booked everytime we try to book it for ourselves! Seriously, you will not be disappointed to rent the Freebird! We plan to return the summer of 2012!

what a fantastic condo. to stay in! brett worked with us in 2010 when we couldn't come down, and was very accomodating to us for our 2011 stay. the condo. is beautifully furnished, has the best views anywhere, and you awaken to a gorgous sunrise every morning. i recommend that everyone try to stay here; brett is wonderful to work with & does everything he can to make your stay a comfortable as possible. the keyless entry is especially nice; you don't have to keep up with a key! you will not be dissappointed with your stay at the freebird!

This Condo was the perfect place for our Family vacation. The view was amazing and we loved sitting on the balcony in the morning! There was several mornings that we saw dolphins playing and swimming right in front of the condo. It was very neat and clean and had everything we needed for cooking and cleaning. The kids say they want to make it a yearly visit! It looks like we will be returning!

Just returned from our vacation in Gulf Shores. This condo is so perfect. Everything anyone would need is there. Most comtortable beds, beautiful furnishings, bathroom for each bedroom. Everything was very clean and well maintained. View from balcony and dining room window was just breath taking. You can see all the way up the beach on the east side. The living room was very relaxing if you wanted to just stay in and watch some tv on the large 50" screen. Everything is just as it is listed. We could sit on the balony and watch the dolphins. Brett called after we got there to check and see if everything was okay. That was the first time we ever had a owner do that. It was very nice and thoughtful. I have stayed in several condos in Gulf Shores and I would have to say this is the best of all them. Thanks so much Brett.

We LOVED our stay in this unit!! The property was perfect for us, our friends, and their two kids. The bed in the master bedroom was so comfortable and leaving the balcony door open at night to listen to the waves was perfect! Brett was so easy to work with and helpful throughout the entire process. The condo was exactly as pictured... and we loved the perks of having a bathroom for each bedroom and having a washer and dryer! The beach chairs and sand toys were a nice touch as well, as it saved us the $25 it costs to rent chairs on the beach daily! (And I was pleasantly surprised that we were able to lounge on the beach and swim in the ocean in March!!) The views from the balcony were awesome. I could sit in the lounge chair and see nothing but blue water... and the dolphins were very active in the mornings! I wouldn't have traded that balcony and view for anything!! Thanks again, Brett, for everything!! Everything about our vacation was perfect... except the fact that we had to come home! :) Oh, by the way, eat at DeSoto's! Best food (and most reasonably priced) out of all our meals in Gulf Shores!

Wonderful Vacation Condo

Looking for a condo rental for 4 adults and 5 kids was a huge task. We were so thankful to have found Brett's condo in Gulf Shores. The condo itself was immaculate. Tastefully decorated and such a homey feeling. We enjoyed cooking each night and taking to the beach or local attractions during the day. Brett was an absolute pleasure to work with (always so nice and kind on the phone and in emails). Was there enough room for all of us??? Absolutely.. It was girls and kids week(end). Plenty of room in the condo and balcony for all. As I think about our beautiful vacation, I am considering another trip to the Gulf this fall for my sons Fall Break! Thank you Brett for a great place to stay and working with us (that pesky door!) LOL.. Oh and the view was AMAZING. I was up almost every morning for sunrise and once my son (6yrs old) realized the beauty of the beach at 0700, he was too!

Owner response: You are so right, the view is awesome and i also find my self getting up to see it when i can... (then go back to sleep.. :-} ) And those pesky screen doors are magnets for things! those things happen. The new balcony furniture will be in soon and will be waiting for your return.

The location is great. The view from the balcony, which is very large, is great. A super, super nice condo with everything you could possibly need. The condo owner was very helpful and provided all the details in advance. Pool and hot tub was great. We came down in the off season and cannot complain about a thing. The keyless entry is a very, very nice touch. This was our first time renting a condo and the experience could not have been better. If you want an awesome view and a first class condo, this is the one. By the way, the 50 inch TV was great for crashing on the couch for some relax time.

Best Condo we have ever rented!! Great Views and upscale accommodations

If your looking for an unscale luxury condo, then this is exactly the condo that we would reccommend for you. We have rented many condo's in Gulf Shores and this one far exceeds the rest of them. The pictures do not do it justice. It's located on the quiet side of Gulf Shores yet centrally located so you are close to everything. We walked to the pier and then the next day we would walk in the other direction to the inlet where the lagoon connects to the gulf. The views are just astounding with no condo to obstruct your view. We would sit on the balcony for hours morning, day, or night. We saw dolphins, schools of fish, and yes even a small shark. We loved the TV too although we hardly ever watched it because there was so much to do! The condo was much more than we expected and far exceeded our expectations. Thank you for providing a clean, well maintained, and well stocked condo. We can't wait to come again!!

We've used VRBO for the last several years to rent condo units for our summer vacations. Dealing with this owner and the quality of the unit was one of the best experiences we've ever had. Friendly, easy to work with, excellent location, wonderful view, clean and spacious unit, great value for the money. My family can definitely say that we will rent this unit again and recommend to friends and family. Owner was extremely helpful in returning some items accidently left at the unit; a huge thank you! If visiting, be sure and take your family to The Hangout restaurant down the street. Very kid friendly, fun and good food. We wish we went there sooner!

Freebird is a great place to stay in Gulf Shores. It is everything that it is advertised to be. My family and I enjoyed our week-long vacation there very much. This was a ladies get-a-way weekend and all of the ladies loved the condo. We were very comfortable and loved the view! Mr. Crow made the whole process very easy and always willing to be available for any questions you might have about the condo. I received my security deposit back a week after our trip. Our group wants to make this an annual affair and we will most definitely come back to this condo!

Im a little slow, we stayed here in October and had a wonderful time. Everything was as advertised. Wonderful views, great location, plenty of space. We were able to walk to the shrimp festival and were only a short drive to everything else. Brett was also extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this condo for about three weeks and absolutely loved it! The views and location were tops. We have stayed at three other condos in the past in Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area and this one by far exceeded our expectations. I was worried about having enough room, but when our children and spouses visited us during our stay, we had plenty of room. This is the first time for us to rent from VRBO. We found Mr. Crow to be very helpful, and he truly wanted us to have a good time. We have no negative points to convey. In additon to the great views and location, we also liked the pool area, the workout room, the beach access,and the large balcony. I must mention that the keyless entry was a plus when our children arrived.

This is the second stay for my family! We love this condo, we visit the beach with my parents and our two kids, the condo is great because we have plenty of room to spread out! Our family of 5 had a wonderful time this year as well as last year. The children had their own room with plenty of space to play and watch their OWN tv. Clean and spacious rooms. My wife and I celebrated our 31st anniversary at the freebird and it was fabulous not to mention what a grand host Mr. Crow was. The sunrises, the sunsets,the food, the people and the laid back atmosphere was wonderful. We with out question will stay here again. This was one of the best if not the very best vacation spots my wife and I have ever visited in the good ole U. S . of A. This was a wonderful experience staying in this condo. The unit was everything we expected and much more.Furnishing were very nice, the view was beautiful, the location was very good and close to anywhere we wanted to go.I really appreciated the owners allowing us to stay in this unit. I looked for a big condo,a beach not crowded, and I had to have a perfect view. I found it!! The balcony was perfect. It really did feel like you were floating on the water. I got up before sunrise every morning started a pot of coffee and watched the sun rise from the balcony or the beach. I even got a great picture of a rainbow that started right on the beach in front of me. The guy was right about old world pizza. Try the spaghetti and meatballs. I loved this place!!! Will be back!!!

My wife and I stayed in your condo for 10 weeks and had a very enjoyable time. Walks every day on the beautiful white sand beach was a real highlight of our stay. We love the water no matter where we go and the ocean sound at night was just great. The condo is very comfortable and there was enough room to accomadate our children when they stopped down in January and March. The proximity to all the wonderful resteruants is a plus. I would like t put in a plug for DeSotos resteraunt. Their food is wonderful. If you are in the mood for pizza, the Old World Pizza in right next door and they deliver a really good pizza at a good price. There are so many places to eat and shop nearby that makes your location wonderful. I hope we can see fit to return again.

Freebird Review We had an excellent, restful stay in this beautiful condo on a wide white beach, at Island Royale. The furnishings are new,attractive, and comfortable. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped and a heavy duty washer and dryer made life really easy. The views are breathtaking with windows on three sides and a spacious balcony overlooking the gulf, with room for eating and sunning. Everyone enjoyed the huge screen t.v. and there were t.v.s in each bedroom for games or personal program choices. The facilities in the building were well-maintained and we used the heated pool, hot tubs and fitness room and sauna most days. The location of the condo is close to fabulous seafood restaurants , grocery shopping, and a Wal-Mart Supercentre. Movies, golf, Gulf State Park and a discount mall are only a short drive away. The parking is covered and convenient for unloading, as well. The Killans from Ontario and British Columbia

WONDERFUL!! The condo and view speak for themselves, but the owners were extremely hospitable!! We had a death in our family a couple of days prior to this vacation and the Crow's were very kind to us. We would definitely come back to this condo!!

We have been visiting Gulf Shores for over 20 years and this is the best condo experience we have ever experienced! This condo is more like a home. It is so comfortable and has everything that you could ever want or need. I just want to say thank you for sharing your beach home with us. We had a fantastic time and will definitely return next summer.

What a great time!! The weather was the best it has ever been!! We loved everything.The condo was perfect and the view was beautiful!! We can't wait to return to the gulf.

Condo was great; View was incredible; Accomodations were excellent - had everything we needed. I thought it was very nice to allow use of beach chairs etc - next time we won't bring ours! We'll definitely be returning!

The accommodations were perfect. The condo was modern, comfortable,and clean. The kitchen and living room furniture and the beds seemed brand new. We converted the two twins into a king using a kit, and it was still comfortable. Everything we needed was already there (dishes for cooking, beach chairs, skimboard, etc.). The view was spectacular and the private beach was serene. The owners were caring and a pleasure to work with. We really could not have asked for anything more. We will definitely rent this unit again. Except next time, we will stay longer.

Stayed a few days during spring break 2007 and had a great time (my wife and I along with our two daughters 16 & 13 and each brought a friend). The condo was great and the view awesome. Unobstructed/direct ocean front!! The description is exactly as the information states. All furnishings are in excellent condition. Close enough to walk and shop for souvenirs. Hoping to be able to visit again.
