Scenic Smoky Retreat not only offers the most stunning views of the Great Smoky Mountains, but also borders the park!! Located just 10 minutes from the main national park entrance, 10 minutes from the Gatlinburg "strip" and excellent restaurants, and 5 minutes from Ober Gatlinburg, Scenic Smoky Retreat offers the perfect location for launching a foray into the park, a day of shopping the local craft shops, or just staying at the chalet taking it easy in one of the chaise lounges on the upper deck or relaxing in the large hot tub looking out at the gorgeous view of Mt. LeConte and Sugarland Mountain (bring your camera)! During those cool evenings, take in the warmth, comfort, and cozy atmosphere in front of the gas fireplace, or simply enjoy a game of pool in the upstairs gameroom. After a long day, retire to one of two "king" sized beds in bedrooms with adjoining baths (upstairs one with large Jacuzzi tub) and cable tv, and awaken in the morning to sunrise over the mountains out of the large windows facing the park. Living room sofa is a queen sleeper model to accommodate two more guests if desired (chalet sleeps up to 6). Economizing on eating out? The kitchen is fully equipped, including refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, gas oven with separate gas broiler, microwave, and on the deck by the kitchen door is a 3-burner propane gas grill. There is ample seating for 6 at the dining room table with more seats at the kitchen bar. Washer and dryer also. You can also take advantage of the large swimming pool, with adjacent kiddie pool, two tennis courts, playground, and gameroom at the Chalet Village Owners' Club during the warmer months.
