This a new listing on VRBO. In the past we've used a full service rental agency, but this year we've decided to rent our beach cottage directly, which allows us to offer a lower rate than previous years. Check out the pictures in our personal website shown below.
The house itself will give you all the comforts needed for a great family vacation. My Seabrook Cottage will serve as the central point for your family’s vacation. Do something different each day. Choose from among all activities that the island has to offer: Spend the early morning at the beach, combing the wide open space for sea shells, or swimming, or fishing, or tanning or just strolling along the three-and-a-half miles of open beach. Later, choose one of the great swimming pools. With the Amenity Card that we provide, you can go to the pool without charge and not worry about towels, as they are provided poolside. Ordering burgers by the pool is a great way to catch a fast and tasty meal.
Be sure to sign up at the Equestrian Center early in the week to make a reservation for your horseback ride on the beach. We have bikes for you use to tour the island, ride to the beach, or get lost exploring the island. Spend some time learning to crab down at the crabbing dock or fish there.
If you really want to get a unique perspective of Seabrook Island, rent a kayak and explore the salt marsh canals. If you kayak through the Salt Marsh out to the ocean, a couple of dolphins will almost always be there to greet you and swim next to you.
If you have kids, you can choose from several day and night programs at Seabrook Island’s Kids Club. Finally, don’t forget about working out at the fitness center, scheduling a tennis lesson, or hitting a round a golf on one of the two great Island courses. If this sounds like too much activity, just grab a book, relax, and read on the porch swing.
You’ll want to make sure you eat at the Seabrook Island's Seaview Restaurant on Friday evening, when the restaurant serves a delicious seafood buffet. The Island House restaurant is also a fine dining experience. The many world class restaurants located in Charleston, just speak for themselves. The new Freshfields Village, just outside the Seabrook Island gate, a few minutes away, provides an amazing assortment of shops, restaurants, including a gourmet grocery with everything from Starbucks to fresh sushi. This is a great place to stock up on delicious snacks, take-out meals, fresh seafood, and more.
My Seabrook Cottage is tastefully decorated. One of the owners was an art teacher. Her unique knowledge of color and balance is evident when you walk through the door. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed with its own full bath. The master bedroom also has a television with dish network to be used only if your curiosity about the status of the rest of the world overcomes you.
The second bedroom has double bed and shares a full bathroom with the third bedroom. In the third bedroom there is a daybed with pullout trundle. It has a TV and DVD. Finally the sleeping loft, above the living area, has two twin beds. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a full meal. The dining area is located off the kitchen. In the living area there’s a sofa, loveseat, and a chair with an ottoman, which comfortably seats six to eight people. The living area has a TV with dish network and DVD, faces the screened-in porch.
Bottom-line - Seabrook Island and the Charleston area combined offers one of the most amazing family vacation locations. With an infinite supply of activities and natural beauty, your family will build memories, relationships, and re-charge batteries. As a guest at our cottage, you will have a central location on Seabrook Island to make your vacation plans a reality.
* Free Amenity cards are included which give you free access to the pools with free towel service there. The Amenity cards also give you discounted access to golf, tennis, fitness center, equestrian center, and restaurants. The rules changed in 2008, limiting other owner's ability to offer FREE amenity cards... but we still do.

We stayed at "My Seabrook Cottage" during the winter, not the usual time for a visit to the beach, but it was wonderful. The cottage is bright, airy, and immaculate. Great location for exploring Charleston, Edisto Island, and Folly Beach (short walk to wonderful view of Morris Island Lighthouse and the new Arthur Ravenel Bridge. ) The Freshfields marketplace is excellent for shopping and dining. Check out the hot fudge sundaes at Vincent's Drug Store and Soda Fountain. View of the lagoon and golf course from the back screened-in deck is great. We also enjoyed the daily visit to the beach to see the gorgeous sunsets. We would recommend this cottage to everyone, but we would actually like to keep it our little secret.
Owner response:Thank-you for your kind comments. Seabrook/Charleston is just a great place year round. Hope to see you again!!

Though I only stayed one night, this property worked out absolutely perfectly for my needs. Running in the Kiawah Island Marathon, this beautiful vacation home was the ideal spot. A good night's sleep on a comfortable bed in a clean house, close proximity to the activities, plenty of room, it was wonderful. I hope to stay there again sometime, the next time for a little longer visit. Being a preacher it is a little tough for me to get away for a whole weekend, but my wife and I are definitely looking forward to going there and taking advantage of the great location and amenities. We want to spend some time at the beach and also exploring Charleston, and this place will be ideal. And there's a lot of fun to experience right there at Seabrook as well. I ate at one of the onsite restaurants and it was delicious with excellent service, a very yummy dinner. The owners are wonderful, and will go out of their way to accommodate you. I highly recommend using this beautiful home, and can't wait to stay there again!
Owner response:Thank-you for your kind words. Glad you had a great race!!! Brian

My family and I stayed in this cottage for the Kiawah Island marathon weekend along with our preacher, who is my husband's running partner. The cottage is easy to find and is in a quiet and charming area. The inside is homey and quite comfortable, and can house several people. My youngest loved the loft, which is great for kids! Thanks for a restful stay:)
Owner response:We are glad you had a great time, and finished the marathon too!!

The cottage is exactly how you see it in the photos. (nicely decorated and well maintained) Everything is within a 5-10 bike or car ride (pool club, beach, shopping). You may see dolphins at the beach or even the alligator in the lagoon. Charleston is a short drive away for great history, restaurants and activities. The area plantations are also close by (we went to the Magnolia Plantation). We have already recommended this cottage to friends and would love to stay again in the near future. Seabrook Island is a wonderful place to visit as a family etc. thank you!

Had a wonderful time in your Seabrook cottage.Everything to hand to make a memorable holiday. All four of us are in our sixties and made use of your island bikes and crabbing deck. Alligator watching and dolphin spotting was a great past-time. The atmosphere on the island is so relaxing and we will certainly be returning to this little corner of paradise. We all loved the cottage on beautiful Seabrook Island. It is well furnished and the colors of the rooms are perfect for the beach. The added amenities like the bikes are wonderful. Seabrook is the perfect place for a fun and also relaxing vacation. Go to Chez Fish for an excellent seafood dinner. The She-crab soup is to die for.

You have a beautiful cottage in a very nice area. My wife thought she was staying in a page from Cottage Living. Somebody has a real talent in decorating department. You've also furnished it with all the modern necessities: DVD players and Wireless internet. The pools were nice and the beach was beautiful. Saw lots of dolphins very close to the shoreline right outside the pool area! Enjoyed riding your bicyles around the area and to the beach. The local Freshfields "town" was very cute. Charleston is great.
