Why the Owner Chose Litchfield Beach
We were fortunate to have been able to purchase a house in 1983 in South Litchfield Beach.We sold the house in 2000 and purchased the Bridgewater 101 unit which is in " Litchfield by the Sea",a private, family oriented development located between the North and South Litchfield Beaches.We have been very happy with our unit.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
The "Litchfield by the Sea" development is gated, very private,beautifully landscaped, and offers a family oriented vacation experience.It is uniquely located between historic Georgetown,one of the earliest port cities in the US, and Myrtle Beach so there is something for everyone within 30 minutes in either direction, Charleston SC is approximately one hour South. The Bridgewater is an oceanfront complex within the development which has all the amenities as well as beautiful, coastal landscaping
Beautiful gardens,sculptures,river rides,and wild life. Ten minutes north
Our favorite seafood place. Have known "Granny" since she opened..cannot beat it. Five minutes north. Try the broiled flounder and shrimp and Manhatten clam chowder
Behind the shopping center across Hwy 17. You have to look for it.Fine Italian...locals place.Three minutes north.
Great sandwiches and good lunch place. Fifteen minutes south at Pawleys island on 17 south.
The breakfast place for locals. It looks like a little Diner but you cannot beat it. Ten minutes south.
Historic Georgetown has many fine restaurants on the River (we like the River Room if you want more expensive the Rice Paddy ) and sightseing in the Historic District. Twenty minutes south
Historic Charleston is one hour away south on 17 It is among the most unique cities in the South and still has 18th century charm for those who like history

My wife, children, and I have lived in the Blue Ridge mountain area of upstate South Carolina all our lives but have learned to appreciate the beauty and serenity of the low country coastal areas of our state.Since the 1960,s we have vacationed in the Litchfield/ Pawleys Island area and although visiting many other vacation sites,have ,for us ,found no equal.We think you will find the same to be true.

The property was as advertised: clean, well furnished and right at the beach. Limited ocean view due to sand dunes and foliage (unit is on lowest floor), but overall a nice place to stay. Perfect for a family of 4. The best thing about this rental was how easy the owner was to work with. I called only 2 days in advance, and he quickly responded to my email and gave me a fair price. A very easy process! I highly recommend Flo's Place (Murrell's Inlet) for great seafood.
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children.

This condo was perfect for our family of 5. It was very spacious and comfortable. Being on the end also made it very quiet and had great views of the dunes and ocean. The kids especially enjoyed the indoor pool and the lazy river (it's heated in the off season). It is convenient to attractions in Myrtle Beach and restaurants in Murrells Inlet but we hardly had to leave the resort. Next time we'll bring our bikes to take advantage of the bike paths. Thanks for a great stay.

We took a family trip the first week of June. We had five adults and one grandchild. The views from the condo were beautiful. The girls loved the beach and the pool. The boys loved how many golf courses were close to the condo to choose from. They had so many options to choose from and were excited to go golfing everyday. It was our grandson's first trip to the ocean and he loved it. We felt safe because it was a gated community and everyone was very nice. The patio doors are a little difficult to open but other than that, the condo was comfortable for all of us. Having a washer and dryer came in handy. I would recommend this condo to my family and friends.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bridgewater 101. Lovely view from the balcony of the ocean and pool area. The whole area was beautifully landscaped and well kept. We ate breakfast at Webster's and it was very good. Also enjoyed dinner there one evening. On our stroll back to our unit, we even saw a live alligator taking a nap on someone's lawn! Lots of excellent restaurants in the area including Hanser House and Quigley's. Both places were excellent. Overall, we'd definitely stay there again!
Recommended for:Sightseeing, age 55+.
