The home is a destination in and of itself, giving you the feeling of being in your own private desert oasis! The Santa Fe/San Miguel style home, with rustic, rough hewn beams, is filled with treasures of Old Mexico, Native America, and the Old West, blending the rich styles that reflect the history of the Sonoran Desert Southwest.
Two romantic bedrooms are perfect for two adult couples. The master bed lies on a raised platform under skylights that can be opened up to the stars at night! (The master bath has a Jacuzzi tub for two.) The second bedroom is a cozy, private, retreat for relaxation.
The backyard side of the home is a two story wall of wood windows that bring the richness of the wood and natural light throughout the interior space. The windows/doors can be opened to the professional, lush, mature, landscaping surrounding the waterfall, tiered pool, and spa. Multiple levels of terraced entertainment areas provide the opportunity for dining and relaxing poolside. A choice of fireside ambiance is available for cool nights.
Wildcat Retreat is located in North Scottsdale between downtown Scottsdale and Carefree/Cave Creek. Whether you want to shop in Scottsdale, dine its fine restaurants, shop the galleries, or visit the colorful character of the little town of Cave Creek, you are situated right in the middle of it all! Golfing at some of the finest courses in the world is all around you at The Boulders, Troon, Desert Mountain, Legend Trail, Pinnacle Peak, Grayhawk, . . . too numerous to list them all! Day trips to The Grand Canyon, Sedona, Jerome, Tucson, . . . will keep you busy sightseeing. Mountain biking, hiking, desert jeep tours, and two lakes are nearby for the adventurous.

Designed by an Italian architect and reputedly featured in Sunset Magazine, the original owners designed the property to house their pets, Wild Cats! Rumored to be a lion and/or tiger! Neighbors, real estate agents, and previous owners have added to the story . . . In the spirit of the history of the property we do have many animals on the property. Amongst the mesquite and palo verde trees, the saguaro, ocotillo, and other cacti, you may spot quail, cardinals, roadrunners, javelinas, coyotes, and a family of bobcats! Wildcat Retreat does have facilities for boarding your horses on the property during your stay with advanced arrangements.
Wildcat Retreat is available for special events by prior arrangement.
