Ocean City, America's greatest family resort! This home has been family owned for 3 generations enjoying all the wonders of the Jersey shore. This first floor unit has been completely renovated to provide all the modern amenities, while designed to maintain a historic appeal. Refinished original hardwood floors, solid wood 5-panel doors, oversized baseboarding, accents of seashore tiles, and a stained glass transom. All mattress sets are "Heavenly Beds" by Simmons for luxurious comfort, and all bedrooms along with living and dining room have ceiling fans as well. In fall/winter of 2011, the front concrete has been re-poured with fencing installed to make an outside private area for sitting and grilling!
The newly designed kitchen, with all stainless steel appliances, provides open access to the living area and front porch, great for family gatherings and entertainment. Granite countertops include a double sink and additional bar sink. The front porch also includes a breakfast nook complete with a built-in window seat.
High-speed wireless internet is also available.
Actual address is 831 St. James Place. This unit is 1 block from the beach and the start of the boardwalk. Our end of the boardwalk hosts the 1st street lifeguard station with bathrooms and first aid, if necessary. Closeby on the boards is Brown's restaurant,famous for their fresh morning donuts, and Anthony's Water Ice for those hot beach days. The property also has a newly built outside shower and changing room for rinsing off after returning from the beach. At the opposite end of our block from the beach, there is a deli, restaurant, pizza shop, and ice cream parlor within 1-3 short blocks. Once you are parked, unpacked, and comfortable, you don't have to get back into your car until it is time to leave! We offer 6 beach tags, boogie board, horseshoes, and family board games to get started on your fun.

Hello, I am Tristin Thompson, 3rd generation home owner to this property. I spent my summers in this house on the 3rd floor while tenants rented the 1st and 2nd floor. I was responsible for cleaning the rentals on Saturdays before I could go ride my bike or explore the beach and boardwalk. My father still uses the 2nd and 3rd floor during his summers. I reside in Kentucky and only get to visit Ocean City for short durations to get the property ready for the summer or to close it down. I love staying there and I love how the entire renovation provided new updated conveniences but still gives me the comfy feel of summer at the beach!

This house was just the best! The decor and nautical theme were so inviting.....newly upgraded, the amenties were great...everything you could imagine was there! More than we expected....Small yet spacious...we felt like we were literally home away from home. We plan on coming back next year. Perfect for families and kids...our daughter had a blast!

The home was tastefully decorated...shabby chic. I loved it. Close enough to the beach. Close enough to the boardwalk. I found it to be so inviting that I hope to continue renting the property for many years to come.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.
