Locally named Ka Poli Aloha ("embrace of the mountains"), to describe the magical beach and mountain setting. To your immediate left, snorkel the reef beach (octopus for breakfast?); kayak the magnificent Kahana Bay on your way to local art galleries, the Polynesian Cultural Center, and Turtle Bay Golf Course.
To your right, languish, fish, and barbecue at the Kaaawa Beach Park; surf the right point, bike/jog to Chinaman's Hat, Kualoa Ranch (Fantasy Island, Jurassic Park, historic WWII emplacements, riding, tennis) on your way to Kaneohe Bay. To your front, swim, windsurf, scuba or suntan on a sandy beach garnished with palm and almond trees.
Dine "local kine grinds" at Bobo's, more formally at the Crouching Lion Inn, or spontaneously at the beach park. The rejuvenation is unforgettable; this remarkable enclave is true Kama Aina (love of the land) Hawaii.
