This location is truly perfect for visiting Paris ! If you're going to cook you have everything you'll need in the stores on the same block ! We were worried the apt might be noisy at night - but not at all - very peaceful. Fond memories ... thx RentParis.

We had a really pleasant 3 day stay at 29 rue Rambuteau. It is superbly situated with every convenience on the doorstep. There were 4 of us including our 5 year old grandson who was amazed at the spiral staircase. There was everything in the apartment that we needed, but the kettle needs replacing as it was in quite a dangerous condition. We would certainly consider returning there in the future if we ever visit Paris again. David & Paula Boocock, Brittany, France and Jo & Eliott Swan, London, England

Bonjour! We really enjoyed our stay at 29 Rue Rambuteau during the recent Christmas period (22 to 28 Dec 2009). Due to severe delays on the Eurostar service from London to Gare du Nord, we arrived a couple of hours later than originally planned but our contacts in Paris (Fabrice & Jean-Pierre) were extremely helpful and flexible, and we were met at the apartment at the revised time by a very friendly and helpful Jean-Pierre. The apartment itself was warm and cosy (most important, given the prevailing cold weather)and it is of course extremely well located for shops, restaurants and the Metro. Before leaving, we recorded our highly favourable impressions in the visitors' book in the apartment. However, there are a number of minor points which may require attention before the next visitors arrive: a. Batteries need replacing in one of the TV handsets (for national TV) b. Light bulbs above oven need replacing. c. The selection of wine glasses is very limited. These are minor points. Overall, the apartment was ideal for two persons and we hope to stay there again.

We stayed on Rambuteau for 6 weeks, our third visit - the fact that we have returned says it: this aparttment is well-located, is a nice size, and is well laid out. With the separation of the LR and BR and the washroom between, it is a good space for more than 2 people (the only problem that the LR door does not stay shut). J-P is a friendly and helpful host; the weekly cleaners do a fine job. My only suggestion is that the apt should have an annual inspection to pick up on small items, such as the broken light switch in the LR, the worn down door stop, and mildewing on the grouting in the shower, which we cleaned with bleach (this time and 2 years ago) to return it to white. Also, the washer needs to cleaned as it has an odour which passes to the clothes. I cleaned the laser on the CD player which would not play when we arrived. I doubt the owner wants his fine apt to decline.
Owner response:Bonjour John, Thank you for your msg. As listed on the welcome book, we are not living in the apartment, and we ask to the clients to pick up the phone and to let us know if there are any problems have to be fixed. I regret that you didn't take the time to call me (free phone call from the apartment). Regards, Fabrice

All our family of four found the appartment to be a quiet and comfortable shelter where we could come and rest from the wild activity of the streets. Not to say that we enjoyed it very much! It is suberbly located in the center of the city with all amenities around including animated pedestrian streets. The appartment itself inspires wellness with good natural light, nicely furnished and equiped. We would surely recommand it or come ourselves again. Our stay (me and three others) in the Rambuteau apartment was fabulous! We really appreciated the proximity to the metro, the museums and sights nearby and the wonderful amenities on the street below. The apartment itself was extremely well equipped and also managed to retain a sense of character and charm. At times it was a little hot (at night) but the fan helped. We were happily surprised by the size of the apartment, which used the space effectively and easily housed four. The check-in process was efficient and easy. Overall, we would definitely stay in the apartment again and would recommend it to others. It has everything you could need! Jasmine, Jesse, Katie and Sam

Our stay in the Marais in this apartment was outstanding. The apartment was like a home away from home and the absolute perfect way to enjoy Paris. We stayed for a month and really made the apartment home. We were sad to leave - but we will be back. We want to return and will use RentParis to explore another Arrondissement. The on site staff were excellent, whatever we asked for was done without fuss. The best praise we can gice is that we will definitely be back and we will use RentParis to select another great apartment. Merci beaucoup!!! PS - A DVD player would be a worthwhile addition.

We just got back from France where we spent a 1 week vacation. This appartment was a very good choice - all the described features on RentParis web page were available. It was quiet and comfortable. We are a family of 4 and it did a great job for us. There is easy access to public transportation via Metro (if you thought about renting a car in Paris, think again!) and there are also a lot of choices for grocery shopping or restaurants in the nearby area. We also had wireless internet and it worked perfectly. I have 2 suggestions - the floor is quite squeaky and it would probably deserve some adjustments. Second - the use of the washer/dryer is a "guess" work: although Jean Pierre explained us how to set it up, it still didn't do a very good job, leaving some of our clothes poorly rinsed. All in all it was a very good experience, kids loved Paris and my wife and I are looking forward to our next parisian vacation, which we hope to have it arranged through RentParis again.

Even with the very squeaky floors it was a great place to stay. The space worked very well for three of us. Linens, towels, kitchen utensils etc. were all completely adequate and the price was very reasonable for the location and type of accommodation. If we were ever in Paris again we would certainly try to get into this apartment.

This was our first trip to Europe, and our 11 nights stay in this lovely Paris apartment was a wonderful experience. The apartment is located in a lively yet not noisy area, and is within walking distance of many of the major sites. After researching the area and reading reviews we had been looking forward to eating pain au chocolate (amount other things) from the nearby boulangerie; delicious! We went down each morning and bought one or two items to have with our coffee back in the apartment while planning our day. The market across the street was very convenient as well, and there are many other dining options nearby. The bed is super comfortable and the apartment had everything we needed to make our stay very pleasant. We walked to many of our destinations but were also happy to have a Metro stop so close by, and were able to take advantage of that as well. Jean Pierre met us at the apartment when we arrived in town and showed us where everything was inside, how to use the washer/dryer, etc. Overall, we had a fabulous stay and would definitely recommend the apartment to others! Everything was handled very smoothly with this rental. Although it was August, we stayed very cool and did not miss the ac, which was somewhat of a concern at first. We shared with our 2 teenage daughters and had no space issues. The boulangerie is just next door, and a market which is bigger than it appears, is right across the quiet street. The neighborhood is the best (including short walk to L'as du Fallafel where we actually ate twice!) Absolutely recommend.

Fantastic! The Marais is amazing and the apartment could not have been more ideal. We will never stay anywhere else in Paris. Although we did not meet the owners, Benny and his associate made us feel very welcome upon our arrival. Le Marais is a treasure trove of architecture, shops, restaurants, markets and history and 29 rue Rambuteau is right in the center of it all. To the owners: thank you so much for our home away from home!

Simply perfect...we spent seven nights here after Easter and it was truly magical. The location is fantastic. Close to everything, be it notre dame just down the road, the pompidou across the road and then the marais, a warren of enchanting streets and restaurants. the Metro is on the corner and the 29 bus from galeries lafayette, literally stops outside your door. the Rue Rambuteau is a great place to pick up food for dinner if you want to save a little money - exquisite traiteurs, fruit shops, and patisserie; the children went down stairs each morning to pick up baguettes and croissants. The apartment itself is great. Comfortable for a family of four. The sofa bed is easy to open as soon as you figure out that you have to unzip the cover at the back. The washing machine works fine just takes along time. The only danger for us is that we left our hearts in Rue Rambuteau and will have to come back soon and find them. Enjoy!

Very nice, comfortable apartment strategically located for visits. Quiet with the windows closed, but some upstairs neighbours are a little noisy in the evenings. Very well equipped. Even after a heart attack and heavy books the stairs were no problem! Hope to be able to come back later this year. Thanks!

29 Rue Rambuteau was wonderful. I was pleasantly surprised the location of the metro stop--it was 100 steps away! Rambuteau was a wonderful gourmet food street, full of bakeries, chocalate, cheese and meat shops, small brasseries and produce shops. Great for a lunch or dinner in the apt. I hope I will be able to come back someday. The pullout sofa was actually comfortable! Do not bring heavy luggage, it is quite a climb up and down with large suitcases.

Well presented, competitively priced, superbly located, well maintained, central and yet silent, great neighbours - we thought about refusing to leave. We were welcomed promptly and cordially, our host didn't leave until he was sure we were settled and answered all of our questions. Internet access? Didn't know the apartment had it and wouldn't want it - it was a holiday, and a great one at that. Highly recommended.

Wonderful location and charming apartment with all the equipment you need. My only gripe was a problem with the Internet connection over the weekend. I have booked another stay here - this time for pleasure not business.
Owner response:Hello, to use the internet connection in this apartment you need a special code: 4 Euros per day. Whitout that code, the internet connection is not working.

We can't thank you enough for our great time in Paris. We arrived early after someone else was just leaving, and everyone scrambled to quickly get us into a perfectly clean and ready apartment. The bed was very comfortable, and our few questions (washing machine, internet) were quickly answered. This apartment had everything we needed and in a perfect location - wine from Nicolas, fabulous dinner at Le Bouledogue, and too many cafes and shops to list, plus endless entertainment in the square in front of Pompidou and easy access to everything else via Rambuteau metro. Perfect!

Thanks for such a clean and well appointed apartment. Having a grocer, a baker, a chocalatier, great restaurants and a wonderful sidewalk cafe (Rambuteau Station)only moments from the front door was a great convenience. The Marais is a stroller's paradise and if all that was not enough, a Metro station and the Pompidou museum are only half a block away. The RER station at Les Halles (5 minutes away) was a great convenience as well. All in all, one could not ask for a better location from which to discover Paris.

Our stay at this lovely apartment was everything we had hoped for and more. There were two adults and two teenagers sharing the space and had no major issues except for the hot water running out in the morning some times. Great location, great amenities, great staff, Jean-Pierre was very friendly and helpful; the free calls to the US were a plus, the maps and books a great help and the easy access to the Metro a blessing. I will make sure to stay here in the future and to recommend it to my friends.

We have stayed here before and think it is an excellent apartment: we like the layout and the location--we stayed in the Latin Quarter once and would not make that mistake a second time--this is quiet, much less touristy, and is surrounded by many shops and is near so many sites/sights. we had people stay for about a week and, with the living room location, it was not too bad at all. Jean-Pierre and Fabrice are pleasant and helpful and the two cleaners are great guys. The telephone and internet access are a great service. J&J

My mom and I stayed at 29 rue Rambuteau for four nights in early March and thoroughly enjoyed the apartment and our first visit to Paris. The apartment is in a great location--close to the metro and an easy walk to many sites (including Notre Dame--10 minutes). Plus rue Rambuteau is filled with many convenient shops--bakeries, wine and cheese shops! We took the train from CDG airport and our host greeted us promptly in the early morning and was wonderful to help carry our heavy luggage up the stairs. (Once the luggage is up, the three flights of stairs really isn't too bad after walking all day.) The apartment is perfect for 2 people (could be cozy for 4) and was clean, comfortable and rather quiet. We were also pleasantly surprised to find there was internet and free phone service available to call the States. I highly recommend this apartment and hope to come back again.

Fabrice met us in the middle of the night and carried our heavy suitcases up three flights of stairs without complaining. Huffing and puffing, he showed us the apartment which looked inviting after spending the whole day on a train. When we woke up we found all kinds of yummy food right outside our doorway. This is a charming area, filled with diversity and interesting sights, sounds, smells and shops. The apartment, comfy, clean and pleasurable, is large enough for two people but would be a little tight for four. The apartment has nice added touches like tourist books, maps and metro information. The dishwasher, large refrigerator, microwave, washer/dryer, hair dryer, and iron are pleasant conveniences. The only thing missing was a DVD player to watch movies after spending a long day doing tourist activities.

We've rented 9 or 10 different apartments in Paris over the years. This one is the best combination of comfort, space, location, and value. We hope to rent it again on our next trip. Comfort: warm, well-ventilated, well-lighted, and spacious. With the living room windows (facing the street) open at night we hardly heard the traffic from the bedroom and slept really well. The kitchen is well laid out and easy to cook in. The appliances (including a dishwasher) seem new. The bath is roomy by Paris standards with a large shower by Armerican standards. Location: Fantastic! A great little street with lots of food shops, close to the Metro, close to museums and within walking distance of all sorts of great stuff. You have to be willing to walk up three flights of stairs to get to the apartment but that didn't prove to be much of a problem. The managers are very helpful and speak great English. All in all it was a great experience. The only thing I could ask for was an Internet DSL connection :-)
