Beautiful View of Ocean from the balcony, living room, and bedroom. Unit is across two-lane street from the beach. There is nothing on the other side of street except the beach. This is a very scenic drive. There is also a sidewalk that is great for bicycling, rollerblading, jogging and walking.
Serene condominium complex with Mediterranean design and courtyard in middle with palm trees, hibiscus flowers and swimming pool. There are Barbecue grills for guests use and table and chairs so you can dine under the stars in the courtyard and hear the ocean waves crashing on the sand. It is awesome. It is also nice if you have children - you can hang out while they frolic in the pool. It is also restful for Seniors. The name of the 20 unit condominium complex is "Court of Palms".
Just across the street and only about 40 steps from the pool is the traffic-free beach. There is a private beach deck and access too. Great spot for fishing and for body surfing. Great sand for sandcastles too. Dolphins are frequently spotted at sunrise and as of this writing - were spotted just yesterday! Sip a cocktail on the balcony in the evening and watch the waves roll in.
Queen bed in master bedroom, two twins in second bedroom. Large comfy sofa-bed in living room. Very tastefully furnished and decorated. Kitchen is quaint, and newly updated and fully equipped, great restaurants are nearby. Outdoor shower and Laundry room is on premises (coin operated).
Popular trips within one hour/hour and a half driving distance includes: Historical St. Augustine, Silver Springs, Ocala National Forest, Kennedy Space Center, Port Canaveral Cruises, and Orlando with all its world famous theme /amusement parks.

Why the Owner Chose Ormond By The Sea
It is serene and restful, without the hustle and bustle of outside.
It is located close to fine restaurants and Daytona for entertainment.
I can go to see Disney or Seaworld if I feel like it, and I also take my grandchildren if they want. I enjoy Disney, even in December when they have Mickey's Christmas, its fun.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
I like the peace and quiet of the surroundings.
I like to sit outside in the morning and have a cup of coffee and read the paper
I enjoy sitting on my balcony and viewing the ocean and enjoying the sun going down in the evening.
If its hot I take a quick dip in the pool whenever I want.
I enjoy the smell and freshness of the ocean as I walk along the shore in my bare feet whenever I want.

I am a retired and a grandma of 17 wonderful children.
I love to play in the ocean and pool.
I enjoy the sun in the morning and the warmth of the shade under the palm trees in the evening.
I live in NJ when I'm not in Florida , where we cannot sit outside because of the cold. I enjoy the barbecue and eating outside in the Court whenever I want.

Great location (a very short walk to the beach)! and nice, quiet neighborhood. Mary answered all my questions promptly and was very accomadating - there were even beach chairs and toys for the kids! I really liked having the first floor condo. The pool, courtyard, and grill were easily accessible and well maintained. Thanks Mary for a super week!
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

I couldn't have been more happy with this rental. I was in Florida for business, but decided to get a condo instead of doing the hotel thing for a week. I am so glad that I found this little gem! Mary's condo is absolutely perfect for one, two or four people. Great for a couple with 2 kids. The condo was exactly as described in the website and Mary was nothing but kind and honest. The price was extremely reasonable and for the view you get-lets just say it was a huge bargain. The balcony view was great at any time of day and the pool area was very nice as well. The residents that live there are so kind; made me want to move there upon retirement. Clean condo, fully furnished, had all the things in a kitchen you need to create meals, linens provided and the washer/dryer area was tidy and the machines ran great (coin op). I had the best stay...waking up early to run on the empty beach in the morning, going to my conferences during the day, and then coming home to sit by the pool and enjoy a cold beverage, then stroll along the beach one last time before going to bed. I am hoping to return to this wonderful place as soon as I can talk my husband into it. He thinks that since Daytona is so close, that Ormond must be crowded, but I will keep trying to convince him otherwise. Quiet, uncrowded, beautiful, awesome! Best trip and condo I have ever found in Florida-and I travel a lot. Thanks Mary! You are one of the best owners I have encountered.
