Great home away from home!

Guest: Ron (Austin, Texas)
Date of Stay: 07/17/10 Review Submitted: 08/22/10

Me, my wife, dog and cat stayed for 3 weeks in this lovely home. We had family and friends come in and out over that time. We are well traveled but this was THE best vacation I have ever had. The house was comfortable, roomy and had convenience necessary. Although we were approximately 1.5 blocks from the ocean it was a great short walk to a beautiful view. But we also had the diversity of having an outdoor patio area to sit, have drinks, grill steaks and chicken and veggies. The entire atmosphere was perfect.

Read, relax and renew

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at this beautiful home in Plymouth. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. The hostess is a wonderful patient, kind and gracious person. From your entrance into the first floor sitting room with hand painted 4 panel screen to the Capeview scene so beautifully executed on the Master bath walls , this home is a gift to the eyes. In addition to being artistically pleasing it happens to also be extremely warm, cozy and welcoming...not an easy feat to accomplish. But Kathy has done so with aplomb. I knew that I was going to be treated t a 180 degree view of the Cape from the master bedroom, but the frosting on the cake was that one could sneak a peak also from the kitchen and dining areas too! You will enjoy this home, Plymouth, the surrounding areas, the restaurants and of course the beaches....and because you are at Capeview you will, as we all did..sleep like babies! Enjoy! And say hello to Kathy for me? As per the specific questions to the rght: very accurate description (except that you CAN see a bit of the water from the second floor!) Property was in perfect condition, everything was in good working order, great customer service, I have already recommended this property to family/friends..I liked all activites and every restaurant we used!

This home was great!

We stayed in this home for the week of Thanksgiving 2009. It was cozy, comfortable, and clean! The home is also in a quiet neighborhood. The view of Cape Cod from the master bedroom was beautiful and we would watch the ships go by and had fun watching the fishing boats. Our host Kathy was very friendly and gave us ideas on shopping and activities in the area. The beach was in walking distance and is sandy and not too rocky, which means it will be great in the Summer. We hope to return in the future and stay at this home again. We spent 3 nights here and really enjoyed it. Plenty of space, comfortable, clean, a fully equipped kitchen, an easy walk to the beach, and a sunrise out our bedroom window. Definitely would recommend!

Wonderful holiday to suit all the family

Guest: Ali 2009 (Bristol, UK)
Date of Stay: 08/08/09 Review Submitted: 08/18/09

We have just returned from our holiday and spent the last six days staying in Plymouth. The owner of the property was extremely helpful and friendly. The accomodation more than met with our expectations. We had four adults and two teenagers on our holiday and there was more than enough room for everyone. There are lots of places to visit in the area and the beach is safe and sandy. It was lovely to have so few people on the beach when we are used to crowds. We visited Boston one day and would recommend leaving early and departing late. We left central Boston at 4pm and it took us 2 hours to get back, should take an hour. Plymouth plantation is worth a visit too. The property has all mod cons and everything that you could think of, even umbrellas and coats was provided .We particularly loved the huge washing machine and tumble dryer. It was lovely to relax on the veranda, there are two. We would definitely recommend this property . Brilliant area for both relaxing and exploring.

Holiday Retreat

Guest: aek (TX)
Date of Stay: 12/21/08 Review Submitted: 01/18/09

We thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay over Christmas in this quiet neigborhood home and would love to come back at any time of the year! The weather was chilly most of the time during our visit, but the house was cozy and bright. The living room has a large TV with a library of movies at hand, plus an extensive book library, too. How nice to curl up reading next to the fireplace with a hot cup of coffee! The master suite on the third level is the ultimate 'retreat'. It is spacious, taking up the entire third level, with a bank of windows looking out over the bay. The accommodations more than met our expectations.

Cape View Cottage

Guest: LoriannK (Branford, CT)
Date of Stay: 07/21/08 Review Submitted: 08/01/08

This home is simply lovely. From the decor to the beautiful cottage gardens and the perfect location and cape views, we enjoyed our stay to the fullest. The owner has exquisite taste in decorating and hospitality. The bay breeze was wonderful, and the back up a/c for humid days was a great relief. This home was comfortable with plenty of space to cook, dine and relax. The local fish market provided outstanding fresh seafood and cordial service. The short walk to the gorgeous, private beach made our vacation most enjoyable. Set apart from the Cape Cod traffic and tourism, we highly recommend this rental property for anyone - a couple, or family - seeking to experience a true New England beach vacation without the hassle of crowds and public beaches.
