This was our third stay at the Country Chalet. Once again we found it to be well-equipped and welcoming. We ate most of our meals at the cottage this time, which worked wonderfully. We appreciate the extra large attached garage and the open layout. We were blessed with beautiful weather and were able to enjoy the fabulous fall colors from the deck. Quiet, lots of privacy, but close to everything. The owners are great to work with and we thank them for letting us enjoy their beautiful home.

Well stocked, clean, great location, ample parking for two boats and cars, pets allowed! A lot of these places have misleading pictures over-selling the place (e.g. taken before the hurricane wiped it out), not here, you get a place as nice or nicer than the description and pictures. Highly recommended.

My husband, daughter and my mother stayed at your home in mid-June 2011 for our first trip back to the area in many years. We were very impressed with this house! Not only was it accurately described on the website, it contained everything we could possibly have needed, plus more. We have never rented a house that was stocked so well or that was so clean! Also, the floor plan and room sizes are generous, which helped us feel right at home. The location was perfect for the activities we had planned. We will definitely rent this home again on our next visit.
Owner response:As a place that my husband and I like to visit as well, we want it to be clean and inviting for all those that visit. It should be a home away from home and have many of the conveniences as well. Thank you to all who visit and love it as much as we do.

My family, including our pooch, repeated our early-May stay at this most excellent location. We could not be happier with the accommodations, which were clean as always. The kitchen allows for cooking at home, though the location is close to the restaurants of Fish Creek. This cozy retreat creates a truly relaxing atmosphere and will most certainly draw us back in when we return to Door County.

We stayed over New Year's, 2010. Weather was horrible, but the home is cozy and comfortable and the attached garage is a big plus. One of our favorite things about this home is that the beds and furniture are so comfortable. We've stayed at many vacation homes in Door County over the years and too often the furniture, especially the mattresses, are old and worn out. But the Chalet is exceptionally comfortable, with a lot of attention to detail, which we appreciate. Love the view of the woods out the deck. Location very convenient, although not far off Hwy 42 we did not hear traffic. We will definitely be back. One of the nicest places we've stayed in Door County.

Although our vacation in this beautiful cottage was interrupted by a family medical crisis, we enjoyed our brief stay. It is in a beautiful and quiet setting. The owners have stocked the cupboards and linen closets thoughtfully. The layout is wonderful. It really is a home away from home. We have stayed in many Door County destinations, but this cottage is the absolute best. I expect we will return again and again. Thank you to the owners for your kind hospitality.

The Country Chalet was the perfect fit for our two-family get away. Everything was clean, organized, and welcoming. Marla was extremely efficient and easy to work with, and I would without hesistation recommend the Country Chalet to my friends.

We spent a wonderful week at this beautiful property! It's close to the hustle and bustle, yet in quiet, peaceful surroundings. The home is immaculate, well-equiped, very comfortable! Central air helped keep us cool on those very hot days! One can easily take advantage of Peninsula Beach State Park. We look forward to returning!

My family, including our dog, had the good fortune of staying at the Country Chalet, for three nights, April 29 - May 2, 2010. We could not be more pleased with our choice of accommodations; they were clean, clean, clean! The home is spacious, yet cozy, with privacy in a wooded setting. The fully-stocked kitchen worked out great for us, affording us the opportunity to cook from scratch like we do at home. The home is conveniently located right off of Route 42, yet maintains a quiet atmosphere. It is a short drive to Fish Creek and Peninsula State Park, and less than 10 minutes to Egg Harbor. Dennis and Marla seem to anticipate a guest’s every need, from the ample linens to the spices and utensils in the kitchen! Overall, we longed for nothing in this house, and could not have felt more at home. We will be sure to book here again and again, and will be looking to do just that this year. You will not be disappointed!

The house is very clean and spacious. It was pleasant to find spices and sharp knifes in the kitchen. Very pleasant experience with the owner and overall.

8/25/09 We stayed at this delightful property for two weeks in July and I didn't want to leave. The house is everything you would want it to be (except no cable tv)with a lovely private wooded yard. The location is perfect - close to everything you would want to do in Door County. Can't wait to go back!

Comments for property 118184: This is a wonderful cottage to stay in. It is extremely clean, is well equipped, has excellent appliances, and is conveniently located. All this and still pets are allowed. Although it is quite close to Highway 42, we heard no traffic noises in the cottage. There is little traffic on Ski View Lane because it is a circle, and that made for a very pleasant walk for the dogs. My only suggestion is that there be more lights in the living room. I found it very difficult to read with the lights that are there. Other than that I would change nothing in this very charming cottage.

This property is beautiful. The Country Chalet is very warm, homey, clean, and in a desireable location. It is on a beautiful wooded lot, but very close to Fish Creek. Our family of 5 and 1 dog was very comfortable. We feel lucky to have found such a great place to celebrate my mom's 70th birthday!
