Sit back and relax and enjoy the peaceful, quiet beauty of Little Carr Lake. Watch for deer, bald eagles, beavers, loons, and other wildlife. We are surrounded by State owned land on a quiet, secluded 52 acre lake. The fishing and swimming are great. Our resort is very private which gives you a wonderful place for a family reunion, neighborhood and friend get together. Make it a yearly tradition. There are 5 cabins that sleep 6 each.

My kids and I had a wonderful week and really unplugged from the world. We left the complexity of our regular life behind for a simpler, quieter week. We enjoyed boating, swimming, and many other outdoor activities. Property is EXACTLY as shown in photos. Caretakers were both delightful and helpful. Cabin was simple, but charming. Entire property was well cared for and very clean. The cabin was well equipped in every way, kitchen, grill, outdoor supplies, everything we needed throughout the week was there. As we prepared to leave, my kids were already saying "can we come back again next year?"

Great place to stay. Listing photos & description exactly as described. Very clean!!! We spent the week of July 4th 2010 and enjoyed it so much we went back Labor Day weekend and this year we are going for Memorial weekend, July 4th week and Labor Day weekend. Nice and close to downtown Lake Tomahawk. We would definately recommend to anyone. Nice sandy beach. Watched and listened to the loons. Tommy and Vic great people!!!!

Last fall my husband and I stayed with another couple in the Wild Oaks Cabin at Hurley's Hideaway Resort. The cabin was immaculate inside and we were so comfortable in the recently remodeled cottage that we decided to book a week next summer. The photos are accurate; the cottage has new wood floors and a gas stove in the living room to keep it cozy on cool evenings. We had fun paddling the kayaks that were provided and look forward to doing some fishing and swimming when we visit next time. The resort's caretakers were friendly and helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay!

We love the out of the way location on Little Carr Lake. Tucked back in the woods, so easy to get in to Lake Tomahawk. You have a meat market, bakery, cafe, gas/grocery and other eating establishments. You are right between recreational areas. We love our little cabin with all the things you need. Clean neat and the fire pit,and access to the pier with canoes, kayaks and paddle boats. The beautiful reflections off the water at sunrise and sunset are indescribable. We have been coming back for 5+ years.

Our entire family (daughters, husbands and grandchildren) enjoy the neat, clean cabins nestled in the woods. The sandy beach is well-kept. We enjoy the fishing, swimming, boating and kayaking. Vic and Tom, the managers, always make us feel welcome. Because we enjoy our private, clean cabins we rarely leave to attend activities or other attractions. One event that we did attend and enjoyed very much was the lumberjack program in which Vic was the emcee. That was well-worth our time. The Hurley's have always been helpful in answering any questions we may have. We are looking forward to our summer vacation on Little Carr Lake.

This will be the third year we will be coming back to Hurley's Hideaway Resort. Our entire family comes up and we occupy all 4 cottages. We have a great time at this small resort. The cottages are very well supplied and always clean. We like that it is quite private and will accommodate all of us easily! We also like that it is right on the lake and there is a small beach area for the younger kids. Also there is a great supply of beach toys, kayaks, paddle boats, etc. Hopefully, we will be coming back for quite a few years.
