Stay in Bend, close to downtown shops, restaurants, the Old Mill district and 20 minutes to Mt.Bachelor for skiing and riding. 3 minutes to walk to the river trail that runs 10 miles through bend.
This is a luxury 3 bedroom 2.5 bath home built in 2007 (approx 2100 sq ft) in the new quiet, safe and secluded section of Mt. Bachelor Village secluded RiverWild. Settled in the Pines, feels like you are out in the forest, but still very close to town. Close enough to see the pool, but far enough away to not have the noise.
It has very large rooms, a Great room layout for entertaining, with a unique 3 BR with 2 master BR layout, with one master on the main and a second Junior master BR on the second floor.
Well equipped Full Gourmet Kitchen (one of our guests said she could cook a meal for 25!) with bar island surrounding five burner stove and 4 Bar Stools. Rustic Pine table seats 6 for dinner. Ping Pong table in the garage for post dinner competition! Enjoy a drink on the deck while the kids can ride bikes on the Big Eddy Circle loop that has very little traffic.
1st Master on the main floor with a Romantic King Sleigh Bed, huge closets for your gear, and private bath and a 32" HD TV. The 2nd "Master" Bedroom upstairs with Queen Bed and "Pottery Barn" bead board bedroom set and attached Bathroom. The 3rd Bedroom furnished in rustic pine and wrought iron with a full bed and TV/VCR/DVD and 3 foam mattresses from a bunk bed which can accommodate extra people.
A perfect retreat for 3 couples or two families. Three additional single child bed mattresses, packnplay, full crib and stroller available. All bedrooms with comforters and 300 thread count linens.
Pool and Hot tub in the neighborhood, private for the homes in RiverWild. Hot Tub is year round, pool is summer only. 100 steps from the door...2 minute walk.
Golf at Tetherow Golf (Now available to the public) is across the street, Widgi Creek is 3 miles up the road, There are 20+ other courses within a 30 minute drive.
World class fly fishing for native Redsides and Steelhead within 30 minutes - I fish with Matt Carter - he's a guide at DRO - ask me for his number, he will put you on the fish, then it's up to you.
Rafting the Deschutes River; Hiking in the Deschutes National Forest; Boating in the high mountain lakes! So many things to do in the "Aspen of the West" as named by Sunset Magazine!
World class cycling and mountain biking are literally out the front door.
Mt Bachelor skiing is 20 minutes away.
5 minutes to Downtown Bend restaurants and shopping; 5 minutes to the Bend Old Mill shopping district; 20 minutes to SunRiver.

Why the Owner Chose Bend
We looked in central Oregon for 3 years and ultimately ended up in RiverWild / MtBachelor Village for several reasons. First, it's as close to Mt.Bachelor as you can get - 20 minutes away. Second, it's close to Bend for all the restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. We looked at SunRiver, but didnt want to take a 30 minute drive every time we wanted to eat out in Bend. Third, we wanted a quiet safe neighborhood feel in a managed community and RiverWild in Mt.Bachelor Village really fits that bill. The kids can ride their bikes with no worries, the river trail is 3 minutes away, and the pool / hot tub is just steps from the door.
Trail entrance about 200 feet from our house runs the length of the deschutes river through Bend and by the Old Mill District
Take the kids fishing in the stocked pond or just have a nice picnic with Cascade views
Ride your mountain bike, hike or paddle the river.
Play the new Kidd designed links course in Bend! Bring plenty of golf balls.

Just wanted to let people know how much we enjoyed our month long stay at Big Eddy. We plan to move to Bend in the near future, so we were looking at houses and exploring the many attributes Bend is noted for. Not only was the location ideal, it was clean and well appointed with a relaxing atmosphere that was welcomed at the end of each day. The owners are a delight to work with and have made this house a home for their many guests.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful week at Riverwild. What a perfect Bend location. Close to everything - Deshcutes River, hiking/biking trails, the mountain and downtown. Yet quiet, peaceful and friendly. The house was beautifully furnished and stocked with anything you could imagine needing. The pool was close by and welcoming. Jeff was great to work with. We can't wait to return!

What a wonderful vacation home. We had a great time and couldn't have been more comfortable. There was plenty of room for two families, and our boys definitely loved the ping pong table. Will try to rent from Jeff again if the dates are available. 5 stars!

Lovely place to hang your hat, skis, bike helmet or whatever you are into. This place is super nice - clean, well-anointed and extremely comfortable. Plenty of room for a group and in a great location. Great hot tub and pool only a few steps away. Owners are very accomodating and easy to work with. Would stay again and again, and highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay over New Year's. The house was nicer than we had hoped and very well equipped. You could cook a turkey dinner for 20 in that kitchen. And the owners couldn't be nicer. Great location near the mountain, town, and river trail were great. We hope to be back soon!

In addition to the fabulous interior, the location is fantastic. The Mt. Bachelor Village area is right next to the Deschutes River trail that offers fantastic running and walking trails. The owners are super friendly and very accommodating. I would highly recommend this property.

Perfect location so close to town. Can't wait to come back during ski season with the easy access to mountain. Home was new,very clean, and had a floorplan that worked great with kids. Kitchen had everything we needed. Loved the trail down to river.

A family favorite! The house is extremely comfortable and equipped with MORE than all of the comforts of home. We love the furnishings & finishes that have that "Bend" feeling. Great location, we always enjoy the walks along the river and easy access to community pool!
