By far the best house yet of the our third year at the OBX. The solitude was a welcome change from the chaos of further south. The walk to the beach is beautiful and our 7 and 5 year old girls loved riding over on their scooters we brought. Not too far for the kids or the grandparents to walk. The pool is awesome. Thanks for making our family vacation wonderful.

The Painted Lady had everything we were looking for - a nice clean home that's pet friendly, pool, hottub, close to beach with beautiful bike/walking paths and most of all the surroundings. Southern Shores is so peaceful and the natural landscaping is breathtaking. It just feels like home away from home.

This was the first time we stayed in the Painted Lady, or in Southern Shores. The house was the most amazing place to stay -- has every amenity and is so comfortable yet elegant. The pool, hot tub, basketball hoop, volleyball court, and wonderful decks are fabulous. The access to the beach -- the best on the Outer Banks! -- is so convenient. We loved every single minute of it and will be back...Thank you, Painted Lady, for the best family vacation ever!

This was absolutely our best beach vacation ever; and we've been coming to the OBX for years. The photos of the cottage do not even do it justice. It is beautifully decorated, the pool was awesome and for anyone who has ever been to Southern Shores--the Beach Access was one of best around. Convenient to everything, but off of the main traffic road. We'll definitely go back!
