Anytime of year is a great time to visit Maui! With the cool Trade Winds, the summers are cooler than most mainland summers, and the winters are famously warmer.
Our ocean view condo is located in the magnificent Kamaole Sands Resort in South Maui. With convenient elevator access to the 2nd floor, it is located in building 10-- the most desired building in the resort and closest to the ocean. Guests enjoy a two minute walk to a million dollar beach. All of the Kamaole Beach parks feature lifeguards and are among the most premier beaches on Maui and maybe in all of Hawaii-- in fact, Kihei beaches have recently been voted #3 in the whole world! This is truly the Gold Coast of Maui.
The condo is a 1 bedroom, 2 bath large 818 sq ft unit with the largest lanai style in Kamaole Sands Resort which looks out onto the beautiful grounds, fountain, and ocean beyond. It has a comfortable king bed master bedroom. This unit rivals any Wailea or other high-end condo. We love being able to help our guests enjoy their time in Maui, so we are pleased to offer you a luxurious retreat for reasonable price.
We are located in the quaint town of Kihei and less than five minutes to exclusive Wailea shops, golfing, and restaurants. There are grocery stores (Safeway, Star Market, and Foodland)and many fast-bite reasonably priced to outrageously expensive restaurants, boutique shops, beauty, and souvenir shops nearby. Public transportation stops right outside Kamaole Sands.
For a relaxing longer or quieter stay, come visit us in June, July, August, September, or October when the crowds are gone but the natural attractions of Maui are still abundant.... Sun baked beaches, warm ocean waters....treat yourself to an unforgettable and wonderful vacation! August can be quite warm, but the warmest month in Kihei is early October! That's when the Trades die down, so if you like it warm, that's your ideal month to visit!
We are year-round residents of Kihei so you can be assured that we attend to our guest's needs for a wonderful holiday in their Maui home away from home.

Why the Owner Chose Kamaole Sands
Since we live and volunteer nearby, we decided to look for an excellent location for both new and old friends to be able to call home while on vacation. Kamaole Sands has wonderful resort amenities right across from world class swimming beaches and we felt this condo was perfectly located within the resort.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Maui is magical and there are so many wonderful benefits of staying in sunny Kihei. The very best part is the ability to walk down to the beach at any time of day to a generally safe swimming/snorkeling beach...(big surf is rare but it does happen and that's when you see wind & kite surfers on the south shore!). The three Kamaole Beaches all have highly trained ocean safety officers in lifeguard towers. Whales, turtles, dolphins, rays...so many sea creatures to view right from the beach during various seasons. No matter what your interests, Kihei is close to it all and you have the best beaches on Maui a few steps away!

We are pleased to be your island hosts and hope we will meet or exceed your expectations for a pleasant place to call home while on vacation. Maui is an exceptional place on earth and when we moved here from Portland Oregon in 2001, it took little time to feel truly blessed. We also intuitively knew that we needed to 'give back' to the community in any way possible. We helped build a coastal pedestrian trail, work with and help protect native seabirds, restore local dune structure, remove rubbish from immediate coastal areas, work with a local park Action Team and helped develop a Park Watch program. In addition, we became active members of the Kihei Community Association and The Rotary Club of Kihei Wailea.
As we worked on our outside projects, passers by would ask to join us so we started a loose grass-roots organization of individuals who want to help make a difference; Hoaloha 'Aina (Friends of the Land). Please feel free to join us any Monday morning from 7:30am-9:30am as we remove invasive species, cut in or maintain beach access trails, plant native species, pick up rubbish, install sand fencing, mulch trails, weed, or any number of other projects along our Kamaole Beaches or Coastal Heritage Trail right across the street from Kamaole Sands Resort. Also known as South Maui Volunteers. look for our bright green vests with that name. If you decide to join us, we have gloves and tools for you to use. We have also teamed up with the Pacific Whale Foundation for their "Volunteers on Vacation" program, and you may collect a special gift at their location in Maalaea as a thank you gift for your volunteer effort during your holiday!

We have stayed at Kamaole Sands resort many times and were very pleased with this condo. It is very clean and very well decorated with quality furnishings and linens. This condo is also very well stocked. As Lis and Bob maintain this condo on their own, there is no detail that has been overlooked. Lis is great to communicate with when booking this condo and you can turn to her for any advice you many need in regards to your stay in Maui. The listing and pictures accurately describe this condo. Wow, what a spot! The condo was exceptionally clean, and had EVERYTHING we could ever need while in Maui! It is clear to see that the owners take great pride in their place, and ensure nothing is left out. It was very convenient having a washer and dryer, as well as beach gear and extra toiletries. The location is superb, as the beach is a stone's throw away! The grounds and pool area are also kept in tip top shape as well...always gardeners and cleaners out and about. This condo helped make our honeymoon to Maui an unforgettable experience!!! To those who worry about renting from a private owner, DON'T!! Lis and Bob are excellent to deal with, and offer their assistance from the time you book right up until the time you check out of the condo. When we come back to Maui, we will definintely be renting this condo again!

We stayed at the condo and enjoyed our vacation so much. The condo was clean, very nicely renovated, beautifully decorated, fully equipped with all the conveniences during the stay and strategically located in Kihei. We were so glad that we chose their condo versus a hotel. The breeze through the unit was so calming and relaxing. The view from the condo was pretty, there was the water fountain and the beach across the street. We will not hesitate to come back and highly recommend to friends and family.

We have just returned from a wonderful vacation in this beautiful, well appointed condo. For us, the location was great as we could walk to restaurants, shops, etc. and the beach was a short walk across the road. Lis and Bob were most helpful and always available to answer questions or give us suggestions. I would certainly recommend this property to friends or relatives.

This condo, 10-213, was gorgegous - very tastefully decorated and well stocked with vacation essentials such as beach chairs and boogie boards. The kitchen is also very well stocked making it easy to prepare your own meals. The resort itself was really nice too - lovely grounds, large pool, excellent BBQ areas, extremely clean and very well maintained. We loved the location - right across the street from Kamaole Beach III and within walking distance of a number of really good restaurants (loved the view of Keawapaku Beach from the outdoor seating at The Five Palms). Thanks, Lis, for making our first time to Hawaii so very special! We will definitely be back!

My partner and I stayed at Lis & Bob's beautiful condo in Jan 2011 for 2 weeks, leaving icy Canada behind. The condo is beautiful, completely furnished with everything you could want including kitchen appliances, beach gear & even coolers for you to use! Lis was a delight to deal with, even providing some breakfast supplies for me for the first morning after a late night arrival. She was very responsive to any questions that came up during my stay. I hope we have the chance to return to Maui & when we do, Lis will be the first contact I make to try to secure this lovely condo. Right across the street from Kamaole Beach III, we were able to keep our car parked in the lot while we beached during the day. And a great price to boot! Highly recommend it!

I loved this condo! I was very un easy about renting over the internet, and I did not know what to expect. I am a little OCD about everything being in the perfect spot, and clean from top to bottom. This condo was perfectly decorated with all brand new appliances (which is always a +), I did not come across any "little critters" during my stay, and the bed was very comfortable (which was another concern of mine), and the beach was right across the street (while also having a nice view off the lanai). It rained the yearly annual rainfall in a two day period, and the owner emailed us everyday with different ideas of fun things to do while the weather was not working with us ;). I will definately stay here again! Was a very pleasant eperience!

We don't get a lot of rain in Kihei and we've just had drought conditions for years so we've been very, very dry.... but that all changed on the very day you arrived for your first visit ever to Maui. And it poured for a couple of days! You were great sports and a pleasure to suggest alternative activities to.... and you were so sweet to say what fun you had afterward! There is not much we can do about Mother Nature, but you figured out how to make lemonade out of lemons! Luckily, you also got some well-deserved sunshine during your stay. This unit has everything you'll need. Make a trip to the grocery store and the rest is covered. The kitchen is fully equipped. The photos are accurate but don't fully do the condo justice. Building #10 is by far the most coveted. The lanai is like having a second living room. The storage closet has everything you need for a day at the beach. The bathrooms are very nice with quality towels and good water pressure and the washer/dryer unit is very handy. The beds (King and sofa) are comfortable with nice linens. The big flatscreen tv, dvd player and docking station for our iPod (Awesome!) The parking space is convenient as you have your own side entrance for coming and going. The elevator comes in handy when your hands are full. The unit is extremely clean and well adorned throughout. And last but not least, the view from the lanai is filled with vibrant colors and within earshot of the ocean. We've rented several different condos in Maui and this one by far had the best accommodations and at the best price. It's no wonder that it is booked well in advance. I'll be back Lis...!

We stayed here for a week in November. What a terrific condo! Clean and spacious it was perfectly stocked with everything you would need during your stay. From kitchen tools to beach accessories. Lis was extremely organized with a wide variety of suggestions and resources. The condo was more than enough for two adults. On top of all this wi-fi and parking are part of the package. The location was very central and easy to navigate from one end of Maui to the other. The beach across the street was certainly swimming friendly and while we were there about medium busy. It's easy to move to another beach if this one was too crowded. The grounds were well kept and clean and BBQ pits are available if you wanted to use them. Lis was fantastic to deal with and very responsive and helpful. We would absolutely return next time we go to Maui, highly recommended!

Every review is true - this is one of the best located, well-equipped, beautifully remodelled condos you will find and we've stayed in a lot of them. We are golfers and this is an easy drive to all our favourite courses like Elleaire, Kahili. the Dunes and Pukalani where you can get the best value. We also love the tennis courts which are in great shape. A bonus is the helpfulness of the owners and their proximity should you have any issues. You will love it here.
